Machine worked well but it was dirty when I collected it- I had to wash the filter
And filter area and the bottom of machine before I could use it - it went back a lot cleaner than I found it
I will definitely be using service again though

The machine I hired was only ok. However, the hand too, which I paid extra for, was very difficult to attach as the brass connector was extremely stiff. As, initially, it didn't connect water ended up pooling at the bottom of the stairs. Needs some servicing. Also hand tool wasn't worth paying extra for as all it did was spray the solution and then poorly extract the water. As I hired it on line and picked it up at local supermarket there was no one to explain problem to.

Not enough hand tools to get to edge of carpets. Even the one given is too large to do any work. Also feel the machines could do with a rotating brush head if somekind. Not sure I would bother hiring one again, unless machine and tools are upgraded.

Had a great experience using the rug doctor to clean my carpets though it is a bit heavy to push around the house but will still rate it the best.

Very simple procedure and the machine worked as advertised.

Easy to use website for booking. Local collection at Tesco store. Lockers were simple to access, although instruction leaflet was missing but I was able to Google how to use and check their website. Lots of videos online. Hired a handheld stair cleaning attachmemt too which was good for edges of room and the stairs.
Cleaner picked up so much muck from my carpets. Will definitely use again.

Machine very heavy, and leaked quite a bit when using the hand tool. Does a good job of cleaning the carpet though.

Easy to book, collect, use and return. The results are always excellent. I use this every year. Love it!

Booking, collection and return were very easy. The carpets are greatly improved. I was unclear about how to attach tools and had to use a YouTube video. The guide of 1 litre of detergent per 2 rooms is only for smaller rooms. I use 3 litres! Machine didn’t work well towards the end and was dispensing detergent without the red button being pressed. The carpet got very wet and I used more detergent than needed.

Easy to get and worked well

Carpet cleaner did not work properly. Failed to clean and made marks worse. I’ve used these machines for years and never had this problem. Hose at the back was broken. No obvious means in store to complain or get refund.

Machine was dirty, smelly and contacting rug doctor customer services is difficult as they do not provide any links or numbers to speak to a human

Easy to rent and tools and equipment very clean. Good clear instructions
