Inaccurate website information
I placed an order on March 2. The website states a turnaround time of 4-5 weeks. It's been close to 7 weeks, and I have not received my images. The website still shows the order as processing. I called and spoke to a customer service agent 2 days ago, who said she would check and email me the same day with an explanation for why the order is delayed. I have not received any updates since. I would have chosen a different company if they were accurate with their processing times
Process was easy
Process was easy. The scans produced were high quality. Delivery of the scans was efficient.

I had to pay $13 to get 10 digitize photos. I thought they were reasonable (I had ordered from them a few years ago), but they have definitely gone downhill. Will not go back.

I could not have asked for better
I could not have asked for a better outcome from my experience with ScanCafe. Every group of slides were scanned and delivered in perfect order, and order was key. The movies were fabulous. HIghly recommend.

Slow service
I appreciated the communication I had with the staff about scanning my photos and various download options. They made sure to follow up at the appropriate times. I also leveraged a reasonable discount, which was helpful.
However, I don't see myself going back to them for multiple reasons. (1) It took nearly 2 months to scan ~ 130 printed photos measuring either 4x6 or 5x7. (2) Once the scans were finished and I downloaded them, they failed to ship my physical photos for 8-9 days, until I inquired about the status with their staff.

Accurate Memories
My photos, slides, & videos were processed with care and wisdom. When I reviewed photos, several were selected for further treatment, which I approved. The outcomes were good! It did take some time, and it cost a bit more than I initially expected, but it was a solid investment of both time and money. I like the personal service, and the honest opinion about images that can be improved, and those that are a lost cause.

Exceptional customer service
In an age where great customer service is rare - ScanCafe exceeded my expectations. From the beginning of my project (having slides digitalized), they were friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my many questions - to the end of my project when I submitted my slides later than the cut off for holiday delivery (they went above and beyond - and miraculously got my thumb drive to me before Christmas!) I would absolutely recommend using this company, and plan to do so again for my next project.

ScanCafe has saved me hours of work
ScanCafe has saved me hours of work. Most recently they digitized nearly 100 4 x 5" black-and-white negatives dating from the 1920s through early 1950s. The results are beautiful, and I look forward to easily sharing them our family.

Data Integrity & Quality Failures in Delivery
The organization of my scanned images into folders and sub-folders was unacceptable. The file-naming convention made it difficult to correlate the scans back to the original films and slides submitted to ScanCafe. Additionally, images belonging to other customers were included in both my online storage and on the USB drive I received. While I reported these issues, they were not fully remediated. This level of service is unacceptable.

I have no problem with their scanning…
I have no problem with their scanning but I requested prints made from the scanned items. I believe I submitted the order Nov 11. It is now Jan 12; after two months, still no prints. They say their printer is broken. One employee told me making color prints is really not in their business model. It's hard to believe a major company like this can't get a printer fixed. So, my experience with them has not been good. IMO a 3- star review is generous.
