Je contacte souvent le service Sectigo, pour la validation des certificats de mes clients, j'ai souvent affaire à un homme dont je n'ai pas le prénom mais qui travaille à Lille et que j'aimerais personnellement remercier du temps qu'il me fait gagner à chaque fois, je vous conseille Sectigo pour vos certificats et pour leur service après-vente au téléphone qui est vraiment super efficace

Stay away from this company.

They bought out another company out that issued us a BIMI, and when it came time to renew it, it was chaos.

They are just a reseller/agent for SSL.com on this product, and I was bounced back and forth instead of getting treated like a customer of Sectico who could effectively act as agent on my behalf. Had to provide the same information to multiple parties, replies would go unanswered for weeks.

In the end after months, they still could not renew the certificate that had initially taken only a few days to issue from scratch with the other company.

Now I am waiting for a refund and will find another vendor for this. I have never seen such incompetence.

A disreputable certificate provider who pretends you've ordered a new certificate.

Doesn't respond to emails.

The validation team and technical team in India are completely incompetant. They have created a problem by merging phone details of a competitor company and despite over 10 calls they continue to contact the competitor to valide a certificate for my business. The created the problem but they don't have the expertise to fix it. Ive contacted the domain register who have also asked me to validate the number I don't own after speaking with this team (???) Apart from that they talk in circles describing the issue incorrectly and keep asking for validation of that same number. Namecheap needs to drop these clowns.

I can't believe how dysfunctional this company is. I had a digital signing certificate with Entrust for several years. Sectigo bought Entrust this year. I received an email in October to verify my credit card to automatically renew. I did that, and It automatically renewed on 11/14/25. I tried to use my certificate on 12/2/25 and it did not work, WITHOUT ANY WARNING. In the past, with Entrust, I would renew and the certificate would continue to work, without interruption. After about 2 weeks of emailing, I found out that MY IDENTITY had to be re-validated. Every email to tech support has greater than a 24 hour turnaround and the answers they give are not clear. I finally scheduled and completed a video interview on 12/12/25 to validate my identity. Then I had to contact them to ask what do I do now? I received a new physical token in the mail on 12/17/25. I followed the instructions but it said the Collection Code, which they provided, was not valid. I called customer service. They say the Certificate is not yet issued, whatever that means. They mailed me a token, but the certificate is not issued? They took my number and will call me back. It is now on 12/19/25 STILL trying to get that token to work. There is no reason for it to be invalidated in the first place, and this delay was completely without warning. I have been unable to sign anything since 12/2. I am losing clients over this.

A very painful experience. Renewing a certificate is much more difficult, confusing and time consuming than it should be. I received 24 different emails from them, many of which were about trying to arrange a phone call, which wasn’t possible because their call booking web page didn’t work, and eventually they decided the phone call wasn’t necessary anyway. Their website is difficult to use, isn’t mobile friendly and looks like it was built 20 years ago. Their emails are excessively long and aren’t written in plain English.

They purchased CodeGuard and have completely ruined it as far as a service. CodeGuard is useless, and the “support” which Sectigo claims to offer is nonexistent.

Worst customer service ever, zero support after sales

We chose this company for SSL certificates based on their low prices, but the overall experience has been nothing short of frustrating. Their customer portal is outdated, confusing, and missing basic clarity. Critical information is either poorly presented or buried, and many of the links to their own support articles are broken. For a business operating in the cyber security space—where trust, transparency, and clear guidance are essential—they make the entire process opaque and unnecessarily difficult.

Customer support has been equally disappointing. Responses are slow, unhelpful, and often feel like they haven’t even read the original question. Instead of offering solutions, they tend to send yet more broken links or generic replies that fail to address the issue.

To make matters worse, their website proudly displays a “9.4/10” Trustpilot score—something Trustpilot doesn’t even use as a rating format—and even the link from this banner is broken. It’s hard to have confidence in a company that can’t even get its own reputation badge working. (Their actual score is 3.5/5 but recent reviews - after 2022 - are few and far between.)

Yes, the prices are cheap. But when it comes to cyber security—one of the highest priorities for any business—you expect reliability, clarity, and proper support. Unfortunately, this company delivers none of that. We won’t be using them again.

Absolutely terrible experience renewing a code signing certificate with Sectigo.

I confirmed multiple times with sales (Order #2471352397) that I was renewing my existing software/code signing certificate, not moving to a hardware token. Despite this, Sectigo issued a hardware-based cert that completely breaks our workflow. Support now says I have to start over from scratch and go through full company validation again — something we already completed for the original cert (Order #1227908261).

Their sales and support channels are disjointed, unresponsive, and impossible to escalate through. This was supposed to be a simple renewal, yet it’s turned into days of downtime and frustration.

If you value your time or need reliability for code signing, avoid Sectigo — they clearly don’t understand or support their own products.

Great service and great technical support when I Needed help installing a ssl certificate.

Just renewed my EV code signing certificate for another 3 years. It took a little over a week from start to finish to where I had the new token. Had to contact support due to not receiving the initial password, they were quick to respond. I just wanted to say thanks

Nur noch genervt! Gewerbeschein wird als Nachweis nicht anerkannt. Webseite ist seit 3 Monaten “down” und die ständigen Mails zum sogenannten “Support” bringen überhaupt nichts! Warum Strato nicht mehr mit Digicert arbeitet, bleibt mir ein Rätsel! Da gab es nie Probleme in den vergangenen Jahren…. Sectigo ist der letzte Drecksladen!!!!

I wanted to say a personal thank you to both my Acc Mgr Premavathi Nagulan and also to the Technical support contact Kishanth Chandran. We have a very complicated SSL setup on our end with over 400 indiviual SAN records split across three certificates. We had some issues originally with reissue, but both of the above mentioned individuals took time out of their day to assist, and even went above and beyond their contracted hours to fix the problems i had. Katastrophaler Validierungsprozess! Bisher gut 10 Versuche, jedesmal habe ich reagiert, nie wurde das akzeptiert. Zwei von mir genannte Telefontermine wurden von Sectigo in andere Zeitzonen übersetzt und versemmelt. Nervt extrem.

Bieten SSL Zertifkate in Deutschland an, fordern Dokumente zur Verifizierung an und behaupten dann mein eingereichter Gewerbeschein sei kein offizielles Dokument und akzeptieren den Gewerbeschein nicht. Somit ist es unmöglich mein Kleingewerbe dort zu verifizieren.

Zertifikatsumstellung wurde nur auf Grund des Wechsels meines Hosting Anbieters zu SECTIGO als Partner angestoßen.
Habe jetzt 5 Wochen damit gekämpft SECTIGO klar zu machen, dass die Adresse und Telefonnummer auf die sie sich beziehen seit 15 Jahren nicht mehr aktuell ist. Das kann jeder googlen.
Kopien aus dem Vereinsregister wurden nicht akzeptiert.
Nach vielen vielen Mails versuchte ich es dann per Telefon, und nach 20 minuten Kampf und wiederholten Hinweisen auf die bereits gesendeten Dukumente und Mails wurde das dann endlich akzeptiert, und das Zertifikat erteilt.
Das alte Zertifikat eines anderen Anbieters existierte bereits seit mehr als 15 Jahren und wurde immer ohne Probleme verlängert.

For two weeks now they are verifying my business for eCommerce level SSL I ordered through my hosting provider. Dozens of emails between provider and myself, ZERO from Sectigo. They don't take calls during normal business hours, they don't respond to submitted tickets. Non existent customer service, ignorance or serious process gaps. Avoid.

My company bought a Code signing Certificate from these guys years ago. A lot has changed. My company got bought and the guy who got the certificate no longer works for the company.
If you find yourself in a similar position I can not recommend renewing the certificate with this company.
Every time I provide some bit of documentation or overcome some hurdle they keep throwing up more hurdles.
I scheduled a 'Video Identification' via teams. First their site wouldn't even send me an email but it demanded an ID that it would not send.

Then I got lucky enough to finally get an email from these guys and now I've been waiting in this teams meeting for over 21 minutes and no one is joining the meeting. Looks like their scheduling and/or web site are buggy. It took 4 attempts to get the mail then the scheduling page said that the meeting is in 15 minutes.... but also showed a time of day an hour and 15 minutes away. Had two no-shows at meetings scheduled through their tool so far.

Their support is mostly automated and thus useless. I think the only 'real people' who still work there are guys trying to sell the service. Once they have your money don't expect much cooperation nor help from real people. I didn't get any help that helped me actually get the certificate.
