Shoppay Reviews 

I made a purchase off a Shopify hosted website (Sheedex) and paid using Shop Pay, within 24hrs of my purchase the website is now no longer listed.

I cannot get a response from the store by email or phone and the Shop Pay (Shopify owned/operated) payment system that I used did not provide a payment acknowledgement and to chase the order I need a payment URL which isn’t visible unless you stay on the confirmation page at the time you make the purchase since you cannot get back to that page.

I suspect Shop Pay and Shopify are indirectly facilitating scam websites with no checks and measures to ensure the people who set up these sites are legit. How else could someone be able to set up a fake website and accept payments using Shop Pay and then disappear with peoples money the next day?

They also make it impossible to chase up the order issue through Shop Pay unless you have an order acknowledgment URL which isn’t visible on the screenshot I took at the time.

I have not yet found an alternative method of contacting Shop Pay.

My advise is to stay clear of ANY Shopify websites.

Luckily, I paid by credit card so I can claim my money back through them and I can leave Shop Pay the task of trying to track them down since they don’t provide the means for me to contact them.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!

Based in the UK. Purchased from a US company using Shop Pay. US company has now vanished off the face of the earth, no reply to emails etc. Shop Pay’s attitude? Not our fault. We can’t control that sort of activity! What? Why on earth do they exist if not to ‘control that sort of activity’? 0/10 Definitely don’t rely on them for anything more than disappointment

Shop Pay is a scammer company linked to many shady suppliers including the terrible Drift.co who auto-subscribe you to their terrible air fresheners so you pay every month even if you only place a single one off order. Avoid both!

shop pay auto populates your shipping info, credit card, etc. However, I have personal things I order and business things I order and because it auto populates shipping and cc info, half my orders go to the wrong address and are charged on the wrong cc. My business address does not accept shipments. Half my orders get lost and are not delivered and changing all the payments to correct cards is an accounting nightmare for my business. I hate this program and will soon quit buying from vendors who use it.

I had never heard of ShopPay until today. I went to pay for something I was buying online and ShopPay came up with all my details including my credit card. How did it get them? I never signed up to it or anyone else. I don't use Google pay.

My wife purchased product from ModernTribe and their website did not differentiate about payments. When she returned to purchase other items the checkout had all her information from SHOPPAY. We do not keep financial data on company websites. Trying to contact ShopPay was a total disaster. THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY ATTACHED TO AFFIRM FINANCIAL. BEWARE WHEN YOU CHECKOUT AND IF YOU SEE SHOPPAY - STOP - REMOVE YOUR PURCHASE - LEAVE THE WEBSITE - CLEAR YOUR BROWSER CACHE. GO BACK TO THE WEBSITE TO MAKE YOUR PURCHASE AND DO EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GET AUTOMATICALLY PLACED INTO SHOPPAY.

We did what I just wrote and paid via ApplePay with no complications from SHOPPAY.

Beware of SHOPPAY! Today, I wanted to purchase goods online and suddenly SHOPPAy popped up. It had all my details including my credit card???
I have never interacted with SHOPPAY, given my credit card details nor allowed it to store my PRIVATE details. I'm very careful about this.
There is no contract between me and SHOPAY thus SHOPPAY breaches NZ law and international privacy laws as well.
Stay away from this site!!!!

Shoppay suppressing bad product reviews?

I've been using Shoppay for a while. I like that it's convenient and I don't have to reenter my information on different sites.

However, a recent purchase at Maverick & Co. via Shoppay has me rethinking the app and all merchants using it. Let's just say this experience has been bad.

Digging a little further, the Shoppay reviews for Maverick & Co products are overwhelmingly glowing and don't match my experience at all ... but when I search online for the company ...phew. Reddit, youtube comments, Trustpilot -- everywhere people are complaining.

I can only conclude Shoppay is letting the vendor hide bad reviews on their site and in the Shoppay app. How can I trust other new stores I discover through Shoppay now that I know those 5 stars mean nothing

This is a payment site hosting scam shopping sites. Impossible to communicate with. DO NOT use.

This service never works, more is a hassle than anything

If I was able to give a 0 I definitely would, I paid using shoppay, sent emails to both shoppay and wellalign health and no one gets back to you, I believe both these companies are fraudulent, please do stay away from these two companies.

I’m really not Shute how I got signed up to shop pay but I did, and it seems to have taken over my iPad. I see an online add, that interests me, I click on it and before I know it I’ve bought the item. It’s also using a billing that was my daughter’s address over a year ago and I can’t edit or remove it. I have now closed the account and deleted the app, but tbh I’m still not confident this is the end of the story.

The really annoying thing is that some very good sites seem to be pushing ShopPay as their preferred payment method.

Steer well clear of this one.

Whenever I went into an online checkout, Shop Pay FORCED ITS WAY IN as the only way to pay. I did not even have a chance to choose PayPal or enter a credit card directly. The moment I entered the checkout, Shop Pay was telling me it had sent a text and asking for the code. It was even telling the vendor my address, not giving me a chance to decide what address I wanted to use.
I thought I was logged out, but it kept appearing.
I finally deleted myself from it.
Very intrusive!

Do not use, no buyer protections and Shopify won't stand up for buyers and aides eith the seller who never sent the items ordered.

I purchased coffee from Lucky Goat coffee online. I have never signed up for or used SHOPPAY. All of a sudden I am receiving emails from SHOP to sign in and confirm my email. Lucky Goat says they did not give my email to SHOP. They certainly did not have my authority to do so. This could mean SHOP is using their business connections to steal email addresses. I will be reporting this.

SCAM GALORE. Their site has blatant scam artists on there. Canva House (I ordered boot covers) has a bogus email, doesn’t respond to contacts through what seems to be a bogus website, traces to an address in Sheridan Wyoming that the local newspaper reports has 30 companies registered all of which appear to be bogus, and nothing comes. Shop Pay has no direct way to contact them and, based on other reviews here, doesn’t care one bit. TRULY TERRIBLE.

Purchased a coffee machine, thought we would be protected, as searched SHOP PAY , the machine never arrived, it was a scam, reported this when it became apparant, Shop Pay said we had to wait 30 days, and then said they couldnt help. Ive searched before and after and got a clear message that they protect buyers, this is not the case. We along with others are now £££ out. Use pay pal or Klarna etc if you want protection.

I somehow got signed up through this when I ordered candles. I wanted out, and they require an email verification to do so. Meanwhile they sell your email address to many companies. I have to unsubsribe to no less than 10 a day! I CANNOT make it stop.

I had to contact the vendor directly for the past 9 items I have purchased using shop pay and have only received 2 of them. Not happy and very annoying to not receive your order. I don't know what the hang up is?

Never shop via Shop Pay, it's just there to host scam sites, daughter lost money!
