This is very worse ever scam in whole Australia, I can't even understand how this Silver Chef allowed to operate in Australia, they made up Story and fake Statements to double fees, Please don't ever scammed with this terrible Company, Absolutely bad experiences ever.

Great customer service.
We even had a problem with a piece of equipment, but it was sorted out fast under warrantee.

The start of the process seemed simple, filled out the paperwork, sent pre approval payment. Then is all went down hill from there! My delivery arrived 2 weeks later then expected. My payments started coming out 6 days before I even recieved my stock and every time I tried contacting both silverchef and the delivery company I wouldnt get a straight response or I'd get " we will give you a call back" and never hear from them again. When my freezer finally arrived it was broken in transit and has not been working properly. I have lost $$$$4 worth of food stock due to the damage and still have had no answers when contacting silverchef in terms of how they are going to fix this problem! Yet they are still quite happy to keep taking my money weekly. Absolutely disgusted in the service and I will not be recommending to anyone else in the business.

Worst experience ever with SilverChef.

They supplied us with a faulty machine and started charging us from day one, even though the machine was unusable. We made countless phone calls and sent numerous emails requesting that the machine be collected and the direct debits stopped.

When they finally arranged the pickup, I asked them to stop the direct debit and refund the payments already taken. Their response was that they would not stop the direct debit until the machine had been returned to their warehouse and inspected.

It’s unbelievable that a company can continue taking money for equipment that was faulty, never used, and already reported from the start. The entire process has been extremely slow, frustrating, and disappointing. Customer service was unhelpful, and the lack of urgency in resolving the issue made the experience even worse.

First off, these guys have awesome customer service. Micheal was a big help along with everyone else.

However, I bought a second hand certified fridge which came on time, I plugged it in and it didn’t cool despite me following all advice given, and despite letting it sit for a day before using it. I needed it for the weekend and now it’s going to be another week before someone can come and look at it. This means I’m now two weeks behind schedule.

It is covered under warranty which they happily abided by which was a plus point.

While I do understand things happen, it’s a massive let down to get a fridge that has JUST been certified and to not have it work on day one, despite all the troubleshooting I did.

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES
They are scammers. Firstly they will try to trick you by saying 100% tax claimable, in reality it’s the gst portion of it don’t be fooled.
Even if you have money to pay out , they don’t simply let you go. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU EXTRA FEES NOT SPECIFIED IN CONTRACT.
They have hidden 4 weeks notice clause. It’s not in the contract. You have to dig in to find it in their terms and conditions in the website.
Even if your 12 month contract finished with them they will still charge you.
BE AWARE also if you decide to not listen to anyone and still go ahead with it, THEY TRY TO CHARGE YOU EXTRA INITIAL PAYMENT. I had some contracts remade 3 times because they were purposely writing higher numbers for initial payment, god knows how many people they scammed that way. When you realise they say sorry but doing it again in hopes of you won’t realise.
Honestly, get a loan from the bank and buy second hand equipment or negotiate with suppliers.
When they hear Silverchef none of them gives you discount. I had couple of suppliers told me they hate to deal with them, they are devil. I thought they were exaggerating but they weren’t.

I would not recommend this company. They approved us for $35k. We started shopping for our restaurant equipment and got everything done as required. Once we turned in everything they said they were reviewing our credit and pulled our approval. We had to go with another finance company at the last minute. Terrible to deal with and the Representative Henry in Houston is a terrible rep.

would not even give one star. After 15 years of doing business with SilverChef, I’m extremely disappointed with our recent experience.

Our latest application was declined with no meaningful explanation provided—even after we specifically requested the reason. For a long-term customer, that level of transparency should be a given.

I understand that lending criteria can change, but the complete lack of communication and disregard for a 15-year relationship is both frustrating and unprofessional.

Based on this experience, I would not consider them a reliable long-term business partner.

Fast cheap reliable

The initial experience was great but things changed after the equipment arrived. Several certified used items arrived with issues including a coffee machine that has never worked, several weeks later, we are still waiting for something to be done. Grill has heating problems, wrong salamander was sent, among other things. Cant get any help on the phone beacause the accounts department has blocked access until we make payment for items we cant use. No communication between the departments.
