We probably had the smoothest experience of buying a car.
From the initial phone call just enquiring, to signing the documents and collecting the car was a very smooth process. I cannot recommend this company enough.

I purchased my Audi Q5 from S James Prestige earlier this year and from start to finish the service and communication from Josh was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble to ask and the buying process was really smooth. On the day of collection, the car had a few minor tiny marks near the boot, we informed the team and immediately the car was taken round to the garage and 10 minutes later was back on the forecourt looking perfect. Extremely professional, yet friendly service received from the whole team. We travelled a few hours to collect the car and they even offered to put more fuel in the vehicle for me to enable me to make it home without stopping which was just another example of how looked after they made me feel. Can’t recommend highly enough and will definitely be returning if I ever decide to sell my lovely car!

I had an issue with a car I bought from S James Prestige and they swiftly provided me with the information and how I can use the warranty I purchased to fix the problem. I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to them for supporting me and making this process easy for me too. Other company’s may hesitate and not give all the support that is promised, but the after sales team did an amazing job just as they said they would. Would highly recommend S James Prestige.

I bought my second car from S James Prestige from a fantastic previous experience, the stock they have are beautiful and really are set apart from similar models on the road due to the optional extras they offer such as rear tints, caliper painting, de chroming just to name a few. I dealt with Michael for the second time and he was brilliant throughout the whole process, from the very start every question and concern was answered professionally and promptly. From putting a deposit down on Wednesday and picking up on Saturday he made sure the whole process was fast and seamless. I will certainly be using the company again in the future without a doubt!

Me and my partner bought a gorgeous Q5 from S James Prestige back in August this year. After having a really bad experience previously with buying cars we were so worried about trusting any car sales garage again however we had such an easy relaxed experience from start to finish, was a smooth and easy process buying from here. A family run business that had a warm welcome when we turned up on the day, they were all helpful & answered any questions we had. I had trust in them pretty much straight away. Drove our new car off the same day & loved it ever since.

The whole process selling the car to S James Prestige was professional and friendly. They were thorough, but honest. I highly recommend dealing with them.

I wrote a review on Google which they have ignored so I am posting it here with some other information.

We purchased a car from here over a year ago and have been experiencing problems since day 1. There was an issue with the exhaust not long after we bought the car which we had fixed and S James Prestige paid for (£1000). Since then, there has been a continuous engine issue and no one can seem to pinpoint the actual problem. We have spent a lot of money trying to rectify the issue but the problem still remains. I have lost count how many times I've been stuck on the hard shoulder of a motorway because the car randomly starts shaking and won't pick up speed, not to mention the car crash I was almost in. This is very dangerous especially as I have 2 young kids with me. I am now having to go through the trouble of selling the car (for far less than it's value) when I am already out of pocket for all the repair work we have done on it. I won't be recommending S James Prestige to anyone and I certainly won't be purchasing my next car from them.

So the update is that our garage could not find the fault and advised us to book in with Mercedes themselves. We paid £180 for a diagnostic check. They then called us and told us it would take at least 5 hours to check everything thoroughly as there is a huge engine issue (Mercedes charge £180 PER HOUR). We refused as we did not want to spend £1000 just on a diagnosis. There seems to be a cylinder head problem. This is a big job and will cost a lot of money. We have been having this issue since we purchased the car 15 months ago and we have spent far too much money on repair work eversince. I will be taking this further with S James Prestige. I cannot believe the stress this car has caused us.

I recently purchased a car from S James Prestige, complete with a number of upgrades. I bought the vehicle online and confirmed the details over the phone, paying a deposit to secure it and cover the one-off cost of the standard enhancements. I’ll admit, I spent the next few days questioning my decision, I’d never bought a car without seeing it first, and I was understandably apprehensive.

I needn’t have worried. When the car was brought out for me to see for the first time, I was genuinely blown away. The upgrades looked fantastic, the vehicle was in outstanding condition inside & out, and I couldn’t have been happier with my purchase.

Over the weekend, I noticed something with the car - so I rang first thing Monday morning to report. Luke from S James gave me the choice of taking the car to Audi or bringing it back to the dealership for them to diagnose and resolve the issues themselves. As I live locally, I chose to return it to S James. The aftersales team were thorough, identified the faults quickly, resolved them, and carried out extensive testing before handing the car back to me. Their service and attention to detail were excellent.

Overall, the service and aftercare have been brilliant. I genuinely cannot recommend S James Prestige highly enough, and I will definitely be returning when it’s time for my next vehicle. A big thank you to Luke, Matt, and Michael for their support throughout the whole process.

Excellent choice of quality vehicles. Good service. Aftercare service also very good. I travelled from West Yorkshire but it was well worth it. Only wish I had have found St James sooner!

I spoke with Khloe who was really helpful, she explained that not all their cars are kept on sight.
She spoke in depth about the car we were interested in and explained the process.
We put down a refundable deposit to view and test drive a BMW we were interested in.
We probably picked the worse day weather wise to view the car as it was torrential rain and wind, however on arrival Khloe wasn't there but we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who couldn't have been more helpful.
We went on to test drive the vehicle and despite the weather we bought the car which was in excellent condition and looked lovely.
I would recommend S James Prestige- superb customer service and aftercare.

My husband had brought his car from S James in March 2025. The experience was amazing and Natalie made us feel comfortable and really went above and beyond. It was time for me to change my car. I enquired about an Audi Q3. Natalie gave me a call back and went through the whole process with me again. It was a deal that wasn’t to be missed. Natalie kept in contact with me throughout the entire process of purchasing the car. I had many questions to ask. Unfortunately Natalie was not there on the day of the pickup but everything was as expected like I had seen on the pictures and whilst speaking to Natalie. Matt, another colleague, was there on the day to serve us and he was excellent too! Went through everything with us thoroughly and made sure we were comfortable before leaving with the car.

Brought my car through S James Prestige and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Josh’s service over the phone was amazing and going above and behind to make sure I was happy with the car. The car itself was in perfect condition with a stunning body kit and additional modifications from S James Prestige. The whole process was smooth and easy all thanks to Josh and the S James Prestige team.

I bought my first car from S James, Khloe from sales made the process really easy for me and was able to get me everything I asked for at a fair price.

The pre-purchase inspection mechanic said it was one of the best inspections he had ever done, which shows the high standards S James provides.

Trustful service, lovely people

I was on the hunt for a smart, premium-feeling used car and came across S James Prestige on AutoTrader. Their website had an impressive selection of BMWs, Audis and Mercedes — all of which looked fantastic. I’d been set on finding a BMW 3 Series Touring, and they had several great options, so I got in touch.

Natalie was amazing from the start. Her communication was quick, clear and professional, and she was never pushy. She walked me through the whole process and helped me choose the car she knew I’d love.

All the costs were laid out upfront with nothing hidden, and I genuinely felt I got a great deal. In less than five working days everything was finalised and a pick-up day was booked so I could test drive the car before signing on the dotted line.

The whole process from start to finish was brilliant. I’m super happy with the car, and I have full confidence that S James Prestige will stand behind their sale with their warranties, etc. I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, Natalie and the S James team!
