Don’t go near these dodgey people. We were effectively conned and robbed by their staff and management. Sales guy convinced me that if our foam mattress would fit up our stairs then so would the mattress they were selling is and to try. It didn’t fit and then instead of apologising their management just point you to Terms & Conditions and say dimensions are the customers responsibility so they won’t give a refund. How can you con people like that and still be in business. It’s not like it’s $10 you’re taking for nothing… it’s more like a week’s salary. We didn’t even accept delivery, so they still have their mint condition mattress.

Top notch from a fussy buyer
In store customer service was excellent, no sleaze bag salesman. Product was unique and well priced compared to all the other stores. I bought a King Single white Mandalay bed frame, other stores sold rubbish for around the same price. Also their mattress range is excellent value for money and great quality from what I saw (I used to work in the industry). The store decor and lighting is just perfect. I will definitely return and spread the word. Springvale store visited.

Friendly delivery men….careful not to knock anything! Efficient! It would’ve been helpful at purchase to be told we could’ve had them set the furniture up even for a price! The furniture is very heavy for older people to install!

POOR after-sales support and product reliability concerns…
I purchased multiple A&S Platinum Balanced Comfort mattresses and within one month, two of them (same batch) developed the same internal spring issue. The fault is intermittent and internal, not something that can be easily demonstrated visually, but it is clearly noticeable in use.
Despite providing extensive evidence including photos of the mattresses, labels, and SG bedframes, the warranty process has been frustrating. There have been repeated requests for additional photos and video evidence that does not meaningfully assist in assessing an internal issue.
The most concerning part is not just the product fault across multiple mattresses, but how difficult it has been to have the issue properly assessed and resolved.
Based on this experience, I would not purchase anything from SG purchase again.

My wife and I came at the Marsden Park store and was served by Tegan, she was very helpful and knew what to recommend to is after letting her know what we were looking for for in a queen size bed frame and mattress. She is very knowledgeable and was able to present good value for our purchase. We highly recommend Tegan of Sleeping Giant Marsden Park.

Helpful and Friendly
The guys were so helpful as I have had a back operation and they moved my bed over to where I needed it so it would fit. Can't thank them enough as I'm on my own too, they were lovely. Will be recommending Sleeping Giant to a couple of groups I'm in.

Not happy with aftermath of building frame, bed design or customer support
Post building the workers left white paint all over my brown varnished floors, most I could get off with cleaning products but it took a while and a few scratches remained.
Similarity marks, dirty hand prints and sticky substance were left all over my white cupboard doors, again a lot to clean with a couple of permanent scratches
Black marks left on the bed frame itself, I assume due to white paint on my floor or from the fact they unpacked everything in the truck. These came off.
Scratch in the bed head and not painted properly in a few places.
All of the above except a few scratches & lack of paint, I could remove but it was hours of cleaning & I had paid $120 for the furniture to be put together to save myself time & hard work. That’s not what it saved me!
Also bed side tables were not unpacked or placed & I got told they weren’t doing that on their way out. These took time to unpack plus the drawers can’t come out making them extremely heavy to lift over the bed now built. They could have unpacked it and placed it prior to the build.
I didn’t sign for delivery build and myself being happy at first because as I told them I’m not happy. But they came back and I felt pressured to do so. I wasn’t happy and told them so.
Now for the actual bed. Whether a fault or just parts were not delivered, I don’t know.
There is no anti slip for the mattress and so when you tilt the mattress up (as it’s designed to do, to get to compartments underneath,) you can’t get the mattress back down without a lot of struggle & a pulled muscle, as it’s slipped under the bed head design.
The white bottom of the compartments is thin, unattached, no groove to lie in, just sitting there, if you move the bed you have to struggle to lift the heavy frame, with one hand, and use the other to try to move it back in place.
When you look at the drawers they look like two but are in fact just one big drawer. The timber was split when a screw was added. But the main flaw is the gap left above the drawers.They just don’t look like the drawer frame was designed properly to fit this bed frame.
When you call for support & to give feedback, there is no where to ring to get support. Each number answered put you through to a voice mail or pass you from one group to the other. Finally you’re given a form for a refund or warranty claim when I just want the parts built correctly or delivered if missing.
If I continue to get no response or find the right person to talk to I will ask for a refund
This is not good customer service!!!!
