Well, we have been blown away by the work done on our house. Shane and Michael did the most fantastic job on insulating and replastering the inside of our external walls. They were cheerful and hard working, and coped admirably with the irregularities of our old stone house.
Liam the electrician was knowledgeable and polite, and soon got the electrics sorted out.
The plumbers, Matthew, Joe and Jordan, were excellent and soon had our heating system fully replaced and functioning. The solar panel installation went well and was really fast.
Every team involved in our house were professional and pleasant - we can’t recommend highly enough!

Lewys, Jacob and Craig have been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment they arrived, their work ethic, skill and dedication shone through. They took on the huge task of fitting all the insulation and plastering every wall in our very large house, working tirelessly day after day until everything was completed to the highest standard. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and time and again they went the extra mile, showing real care not only for the quality of the work but also for us as a family living through the process.

What struck us most was not only their craftsmanship, which was exceptional, but also the warmth and kindness they brought with them. They came as builders but left as friends — three wonderful people whose good humour, integrity and generosity of spirit made the whole experience a joy. We feel lucky to have had them here and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone.

Had Lewz and his boys do all the insulation boards, plastering and carpentry work at my property and I cannot pick a single fault, from prep work to covering everything before starting has been above and beyond, great bunch of boys who start early and work late to get the job done. All the work is faultless and the clean up is spot on. 10/10 for communication, 10/10 for work and finally 10/10 for clean up. Fast working gang of boys! Would and have highly recommend 👍 Will use again in the future for any plastering work I need. Thanks guys it was a pleasure

The internal insulation was one of our main worries before the project started. Thankfully we had Shane and Mike dealing with this work. Both Mike and Shane explained everything very clearly and consulted with us at every stage. They listened to our concerns and Shane was amazing at communicating the process. The standard of workmanship is excellent and we now have vastly improved insulation for the winter. Mike and Shane were with us for two weeks followed by Tony for one week. All three men were also very good at clearing up at the end of a days work. Tony was incredibly hard working and also gave us excellent workmanship. All three men were a real pleasure to deal with on a daily basis. Other elements of the Eco4 project are still ongoing and I look forward to reviewing the final outcome. ‘Smart Energy’ have mostly been an excellent company to deal with. Hopefully this continues.

Shane and His Guys installed insulation on My house and plastered it to the highest standards. The windowsills and skirting boards are first class too. He has been nothing but friendly, helpful and professional all the way through. Calling Me when needed and locking the house up safe each day when He'd finished. Cant recommend enough, many thanks.

We have just had our ECO4 installation completed, and are delighted with the finished product and already saving money with our solar panels, a huge thank you to Hannah our coordinator and Karen from customer services who have been at the end of the phone to sort out any issues throughout the installation, a shining example of how customer service should be, you are both a great asset to the company.

Also a big shout out for jason and his colleague who done our loft insulation and core holes for our fans, they also doubled back to construct our cylinder cupboard, both boys were extremely polite, spotlessly clean, and done a great job.

Our heating installation was done by Rhys Coles, Luke and Kelan, and had the hardest of all the installations by a long way, the team were polite, informative and extremely professional, the standard of work was exceptional throughout and looked amazing, they also made sure the house was spotless before they left every day, if you are lucky enough to have this team to do your heating, you will be in very good hands

Last but not least a big shout out to our carpenter Sean who fitted our skirting boards and recently our window sills, quality work and highly recommended.

It’s been a bit of an upheaval and took longer than anticipated, but definitely worth it, well done Smart Energy for a quality install, professional from start to finish.

Charlie and Liam did the cladding on the inside of my house.
They were excellent all went very well.
The plaster when dried was so smooth I could paint on it.

I had previously arranged to have Solar installed with a different compnay, but long story short I was messed around and completely put off having any solar. A friend convinced me to give Smart Energy Homes a try, and I'm very glad I did. Sam from contact Solar was a pleasure to deal with, and kept me updated throughout the process, and would always respond to any calls or emails very quickly.
The team that did the quote, installation, and follow-up checks
were all fantastic, and I'm already seeing the benefits of having Solar. I would thoroughly recommend!

Rhys and Evan fantastic work, tidied up every day,cannot fault the work, attention to detail first class( not seen that in a long time).got on with the job even when it rained today.Rhys talked me through the set up and took his time explaining things. Both a credit to your company not forgetting Charlie the apprentice he got on with tasks given, to sum up a great team.

Paul and Robert have been a great example of what it means to know your job and complete it to exacting standards. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thanks again.

My comments relate specifically to Smart Energy Homes Customer Service. The overall experience with the company was very positive but we did have one prolonged issue with one aspect of the work carried out. It was the commitment, probably above and beyond expectation of Smart Energy Homes Customer Service, that resulted in an eventual successful outcome and resolution.
One particular member of staff was remarkably professional and committed in their determination to achieve the right and proper outcome for the customer. They were remarkably obliging and dedicated in their service, doing what they said they would do, keeping us informed of developments and requesting confirmation that things had happened as arranged. I could not give greater praise.

We are having energy improvements work undertaken by Smart Energy Homes through an ECO4 grant. Phase 3 was the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump, replumbing of the central heating and installation of new radiators. Ricky and his team of 3 did an amazing job and were friendly, quick and professional. I was amazed that 85% of the install was completed in one day as there were 10 radiators to install and plumb in. On the second day Ricky was on his own and finished the install and commissioned the boiler. There was a problem with a component preventing the air source heat pump from heating water, but we could use the heating (but didn't need to as it was July!) and the water could be heated up using the new immersion heater.
A couple of weeks later Mike Peters arrived to replace the faulty component and he took us through how to use our new system, which is very simple. He gave us his mobile to call if ever that is a problem as he can probably talk us through what to do on the phone, and if not can arrange a for someone to visit and repair.
Overall the Ricky, the fitters and Mike have left us feeling confident in our new heating system.

We came across Smart Energy when they were in the area and arranged to have a full heating system fitted including solar panels. A representative called and assessed the number of radiators and type of insulation needed, saying because we had solid walls the insulation would have to be on the inside, so I arranged to move the furniture into the centre of the room.
Then the first team arrived and that's when it started, they took over one room after another with dirt, dust and cement everywhere, the few plastic sheets they put out were soon damaged and never replaced, when I bought my own, these went the same way. At first we stayed in our caravan during the day, sleeping in our home at night, but then, even thought I had covered the bed with plastic sheeting, I found the sheets covered in dirt and debris. In the end we had to live in the caravan full time for a month.
The whole system took 6 weeks to fit, with a hole knocked in the ceiling, main electric switches filled in, and workmen arriving from South Wales late on a Monday and leaving early on Friday.
After they left, snagging was a nightmare, taking weeks to get anything sorted. We were told by an Octopus engineer that our solar panels were not working and so I contacted Smart Energy to ask them to check, that was months ago, and despite several e-mails asking them when they intend to attend, they are still giving me the run around.
Overall its been a nightmare, with furniture damaged, (they actually broke the back of a 7ft by 7ft wardrobe, leaving it in a dangerous condition and never said a word, I then had to scrap it and pay £500 for a replacement), rugs and mats destroyed, (covered in cement and plaster), and walls and ceilings covered in dirt and dust, ( I have had to completely redecorate the entire house.
UPDATE:
Since my review, Smart Energy has reached out to me and the solar panels have been repaired and the heating system checked. So at the moment it all seems fine.
The other point I would make is that the majority of the workforce I met during the installation were nice lads who did a good job, especially Mike and Jordon, and they do deserve a bit of praise for that.
I suppose it only takes the odd one.

From start to finish the whole experience has been 5 star. Someone came around and explained what was going to happen, and when work started we were introduced to the Polish workers who did the insulation. The quality of plastering was amazing, and both Patrick and Merak worked so hard to such a high standard. This high standard continued throughout the work, with the Plumbers, Electricians and "Mr. Terminator", Adam hole driller extrodinairre! All this was co-ordinated by Steve, who was always on hand to ask questions, and came to over see what went on. It has been life changing for us and our damp Granite Cottage, and we can't thank the Smart Team enough. Rosie and Rory

The smart energy team arrived to insulate our property last week ( lwi plastering team). The lads were a pleasure to have in our home. They were efficient, worked without any fuss & to a VERY high standard. Cleaned up thoroughly. Well done Lewys & his team.
