I used Solv's incredibly easy and efficient online booking service to book an appointment and when I started feeling worse, phoned Barbara at Solv to see if someone could come out sooner. Having had a run in with a few cowboys over the years it was great to be introduced to Solv by a friend. We used Solv to replace our gas boiler and shower over a year ago. This involved moving the boiler and the hot water storage into the roof space. James and the team were brilliant and kept us informed throughout. We use Solv every year to inspect our boiler and the service is convenient and top class.

I have a 3 year old oil boiler. serviced for the first time last year by Solv.
Service was great and professional.
This year I again requested a service online and paid upfront.
The engineer was polite, but pointed out that he was not able to replace the nozzle because he didn't carry the part. He really should have as it was clear on the job order what the boiler make and model was.
It took him a little over an hour to complete the work.
Where my annoyance comes in is:
1. Tried to get me to pay an extra fee because it took him longer than the hour.
2. Not replacing a nozzle because he was not carrying a part. Telling me it Should be okay until next year.
3. Terms and conditions clearly state that with fixed priced agreements there will be no additional or reduced costs regardless of the time taken.
4. There were no unforeseen circumstances to warrant the additional charges.
