I very much enjoyed dealing with James Castle on the sales side; he was always available and willing to have a discussion on the tech and savings aspect. Matt, the installer did a brilliant install putting the Powerwall and 3 expansion packs on an inside garage wall in a way that preserved space and still allowed my car in without any issue and perfectly line up. Plan to use them when for solar when newer perovskite panels become available for residential use.

Although I had to wait quite a long time for the installation date, the battery was installed efficiently over 2 days.
I'm very pleased with the battery, and it is saving more money than I had originally calculated.

From my initial enquiry, the service from Spirit Energy was first class.

James was brilliant throughout the entire process. The initial call was relaxed and informative, with no pressure whatsoever. He took the time to understand my requirements and what I was looking to achieve.

Following the call, James provided a detailed 20-page quotation and report covering the proposed solar and battery system. I found this incredibly insightful, particularly the breakdown of what I could expect the system to generate and how it would perform at different times of the year. It gave me a much better understanding of the system and helped me make an informed decision.

Throughout the process, James was knowledgeable, professional and approachable. He was more than happy to answer every question I had and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even when I went back to discuss the quotation and explore whether there was any flexibility on price, he remained helpful and professional throughout.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Spirit Energy. The quality of the service, the level of detail provided and James’s approach were all outstanding.

I’ve found Spirit Energy helpful during my solar and battery enquiry. The proposal was detailed, and the team took the time to talk through the options with me. I’m still considering the quote, though it was a lot more expensive than the others I received. I haven’t made a decision yet.

I contacted Spirit Energy for a Solar and Battery installation after seeing their youtube videos which focussed on good information rather than sales.
I already had a good idea what I wanted after a lot of research (including their youtube) though was also happy for any advice.
I'd contacted a few companies for comparison and Spirit were the only ones that designed a set up around what I already had in mind rather than trying to sell me what they wanted to sell me.
The process, communication and quality of installation was all excellent and everyone I spoke to or who visited the property were friendly and professional, again always trying to suit what I wanted from the system/install rather than trying to talk me into something else.
Would definitely recommend, and my neighbour is planning a system with Spirit

This should have been a five star review; the initial contact was good, the quotes were thorough and the installation was professional.
However, 2 of the 17 panels could not be fitted (which was explained why, and I accepted), but the final invoice still included them. When I pointed this out, it was reduced by only £350 instead of the £1250 it should have been.
Make sure you get your quote itemised if there is a chance the installation might differ.

Spirit Energy weren't the cheapest quote, but we were happy to pay a little extra for peace of mind. Their YouTube channel showed the quality of their workmanship, and they came recommended by Gary Does Solar. With solar, a poor install can mean an expensive roof repair, so that mattered to us.

We weren't disappointed. The team were professional and friendly throughout, and communication was great from the first survey to the final handover. They explained everything clearly and were quick to answer any questions.

They installed our system in June 2026: 28 AIKO 490W panels, with 16 on the front and 12 on the rear, plus a Tesla Powerwall 3 with an additional battery and our Hypervolt Home 3 Pro car charger. The front array has some shading, so they arranged the panels to minimise its impact. It's all neatly fitted and working brilliantly with our Octopus tariffs.

They've even checked in since to make sure we're happy. Highly recommend!

In researching the pros and cons of various makes of solar PV and battery systems, I found Spirit Energy’s YouTube videos enormously helpful in explaining the nuts and bolts in layman’s terms. Tok Charles has a clear and authoritative way of explaining complex technical issues in plain English. Spirit Energy’s willingness to share their knowledge in such an up-front way, knowing they are in competition with so many other solar firms, gave me a lot of confidence that they not only know their stuff, but also provide a first class service.
I spoke to Abel Tesfay in the Technical Sales team who took great pains to answer my questions in simple terms and showed great patience. Based on our conversation Will Gordon prepared a detailed and thorough spec. A further conversation with Abel, who explained the survey and installation process, persuaded me to go with Spirit Energy’s proposal which was competitively priced.

Max was incredibly helpful through the entire process - patient without being patronising and answering all of my questions along the way so that I reached a clear view of what I needed for my home and family.

Had a Powerwall 3 fitted by another installer back in march 2025, and a year on decided a second one would be a good purchase, my original installer price was insanely high, and they couldnt fit until after October this year.

Saw spirit's youtube channel, watched a few and got a good feeling about them.

Called and spoke to a very helpful chap who managed to get us a very quick install.

Excellent communications throughout the entire process, the guys who did the installation for us were very friendly and knowledgable and didn't mind an armchair expert peering over their shoulder whilst the job was under way.

Price was very competive and plenty of documentation about the job.

Would definitely not hesitate to recommend their services, one very pleased customer here.

All round excllent service - a pleasure to use the 13 solar panels, battery and software on my phone. It was installed early in 2026 and we have already saved over £1000 I think.
We had a very chaotic household at the time and the team were always flexible and helpful!

Six month review of Sigenergy battery install by Spirit Energy.
The install is robust and tidy and has performed perfectly for the past six months. It has not required any attention since its installation.

we had 2x SigenStor batteries and inverter with a AC car charger in the garage installed, brilliant, neat and all working perfectly off our phone App.

I have used Spirit Energy twice to install my Tesla Powerwall 3 in 2025 and my expansion pack in 2026. I would highly recommend them for any battery installation the process was quick and simple and their quality of work is shown throughout.
The system has been faultless in all the time it’s been in operation.

Good communication, well planned and went to timing. Fitted quickly, no faffing about. Everything installed then the electric off for 10 mins while connected then back on again. Nice helpful gang of guys who clearly knew what they were at.

It would be good to spend a bit more time showing the customer the Tesla Powerwall app and how to use it, especially older customers.

Other than that, I couldn't fault the service.

I contacted Spirit Energy over a week ago & spoke to someone (I won't name because I don't want them to get sacked) I told him what I wanted & he promised to e-mail a quote this week & follow up with a phone call today. Neither has happened so they won't be getting my business!

We purchased a house with solar panels/ battery storage ,and experienced great difficulty with the FIT(Feed in Tariff) provider in getting the system transferred to our name. They were insisting we needed an additional meter because the system had a battery. Spirit Energy , who installed the battery for the previous owner , kindly provided technical details of the battery installation in an email, confirming no additional meter was necessary. This was immediately accepted by the FIT provider and the account was transferred to our name . Thanks to Nathan at Spirit Energy for his prompt and professional advice

Spirit Energy certainly know their stuff & in particular the Tesla battery. I had the misfortune of using another company through EDF to install a PW3 !!! If only I'd waited a year because Spirit are national now. They are are extremely knowledgeable and super helpful. They previously installed a PW2 & have been very supportive during the ongoing PW3 debacle. If you want it right 1st time chose Spirit.
