We are delighted with the equipment supplied by Spirit Energy - it more than lives up to expectations. BUT More Importantly our experience with the Spirit team has been really good. Everyone we had dealings with followed through on their promises, communication was excellent throughout, everyone turned up when they promised, the tradesmen were a delight to have working on our home. They each took pride in what they were doing. We were consulted on every aspect of the installation and they went out of their way to make sure we were happy with equipment siting and layout. Simply couldn't ask for more.

I chose to go with Spirit Energy for my solar and battery installation because they were a) a family-run business, b) long-established, c) very well reviewed, and d) their technical sales team are "technical" first and "sales" last. The whole pre-sales approach was very consultative and because Archie lives locally to me, he was able to pop round and have a bit of a look to really confirm the options that would work best for us.

Our system was installed almost exactly 2 months after we signed up. Although Spirit have their own teams of roofers and electricians, they do sub-contract the scaffolding work. They seem to choose their sub-contractors as wisely as they do their own staff, because JCR Scaffolding from Didcot who did ours were fantastic.

On installation day Spirit sent 2 electricians and 2 roofers, and after an 8am start, the whole system was fitted, commissioned and handover done by 2pm. Everyone did a great job, were cheerful, polite, looked after the house, and made everything look neat and tidy.

I can't fault any aspect of my experience with Spirit, and I am very confident that if I have any issues with the operation of my system they will be very quick to assist or remedy the situation given the depth of knowledge the team had about the system and its components.

After much to-ing and fro-ing, a very patient Mark helped me arrive at a requirement for 8 PVs, 1 Powerwall 3 and Gateway, and 1 Zappi 2 charger.
Project Manager Natasha organised a brilliant team of scaffolders, roofers, installers and electricians to fit the equipment.
To complicate matters, we opted for inset panels which necessitated removing the original tiles, fitting trays to the roof, installing the PVs and re-tiling around the installation.
More work, but the result looks like the kind of installation our developers should have fitted during our house build.
After discussing how we planned to use the equipment, Matt and Simon installed Gateway and Powerwall in the garage and commissioned the system.
I've left it 4 weeks to comment but in that time, the whole system has worked beautifully.
We charge the battery overnight using Intelligent Octopus Go's 7p overnight rate and drive the whole house from this cheap rate electricity throughout the following day.
The PVs keep the battery topped-up and we get paid By Octopus to export any excess to the Grid.
Our EV arrived 3 days after the install and the integration of PVs, battery, charge point and EV has worked better than I could have imagined.
It's such a privilege to arrive home to our own energy-efficient fuel station and to walk out to a fully charged car every morning.
If you're thinking of getting solar panels (they don't have to be inset!) don't hesitate to give Spirit Energy a call. We couldn't be happier with the installation.

Just had a PV and Home Battery installation made at my mother’s property in Hartley Wintney using Spirit Energy. Extremely impressed with the handling of this mini project from start to finish. First called Spirit Energy after watching a few of their YouTube videos online then realised they are located fairly locally. Mark popped round to evaluate the property and was very professional and knowledgeable in his field, which in turn gave us the confidence to go ahead with the project with Spirit. The comms were great throughout the install from the setup of the scaffolding, installation of PV panels and finally install + commissioning of the home battery. Install was finished last week and we are already seeing the cost saving benefits! Would recommend Spirit Energy to anyone looking to get a PV and/or Home Battery installed. Thanks again all.

Sam and everyone else with whom I dealt are first class. From the first enquiry in 2021 to ongoing queries ( to date - January 2025) about electricity tariffs, EV charger, panel cleaning, extending the system I have received speedy, detailed and helpful responses. The survey, scaffolding and installation work was all done by conscientious people who cared about my property and explained everything they were doing. I cannot rate Sam and this company highly enough and would no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to install solar panels and batteries.

They were just brilliant. From start to finish, I was informed and updated, and the install was performed when it was supposed to be. Scaffolding erected and removed promptly. Honestly, terrific all around - from the office staff to installers.

The ‘Spirit Energy’ team and in particular Justin, Ben, Don and Sam were very knowledgeable, responsive and professional.
I obtained three quotes and although Spirit wasn’t the cheapest, it was the one company that gave me confidence.
My choice and judgement of using Spirit Energy to install Tesla Powerwall 3 has proved correct.
The system is up and running and even the sun is shining.
I must reiterate how good the installers were under Justin's direction.

Spirit installed PV panels, plus an eddi and a zappi, for me. Everyone I was in contact with were helpful and knowledgeable. From sales through to final installation of the eddi, everyone worked to make things as easy as possible. Great product, great service.

Totally professional, courteous and responsive from start to finish. Spirit delivered exactly what I asked for integrating to the existing Tesla infrastructure on site. On site team very personable and always available to answer queries. Highly recommended.

Mark Golding, Head of Sales, evaluated our system today with the view to installing a battery. His professional assessment reached the conclusion that this was not the best option for us. I was so impressed that he did not try to 'sell' us anything but rather provided honest well informed advice. So a huge benefit to us, with no reward for Spirit Energy. Great service from Spirit again, this time for an EV charger. Efficient, clean & tidy engineer and good communication from project management.

I made contact with the company following several articles by Mark Golding which I found helpful. I was considering a complicated system on a new build having been used to solar power on my last house.
Mark spent a lot of time designing the system and advising me how it would work and what needed to be done during the build to be able to instal everything. The company was very good at fitting in with the actual build at the times they needed to attend despite the site being some 70 miles from their premises.
We have two arrays, one on the house and one on the garage which is 30 metres from the house. We have 3 phase electric supply and were able to have one of the phases passing through a Tesla gateway and Tesla battery so that we could use that phase during a power cut thus enabling us to keep essential equipment such as freezers, our internet and security system working during such a cut as well as various lights and other systems.
All work very well and since installation in early March 2024 we have not used any power from the grid.
All staff of the company have been very professional and polite, taking the time to explain what was required and how to use the system. One member of staff even came back on a Saturday -140 mile round trip - to make sure that the system was commissioned as soon as possible.
I would thoroughly recommend Spirit Energy.

I am very happy with the outcome of my project with Spirit Energy. My project was pretty complex: Solar PV (AC and DC-coupled), inverter/battery storage and EV charger. Spirit Energy were patient, understood my ambitions and helped me realise my conceptual design and physical layout (with some helpful suggestions too, to make it even better).

I would recommend Spirit Energy to anyone looking for anything beyond a basic PV installation. Very knowledgeable and flexible. Just what I wanted.

A good experience from beginning to end with Spirit. Tok and Sarah kept us well informed and the installation assessment and then the actual installation was smooth and quick. The PowerWall has worked well since it was commissioned, we don’t need to do anything but enjoy cheap electricity.

The whole team worked together like a well oiled machine to install our solar panels and an EV charger efficiently and with a minimum of disruption. I can't recommend Spirit Energy highly enough.

Spirit installed solar panel, Tesla battery and an Eddi, during July-Aug of 2023 (Tesla battery came later due to Tesla supply issues, which I was well aware of - in fact the date came forward by several months).
Firstly I had a good understanding of what I wanted after months of research. This helps whoever you are dealing with.
Spirit have been very professional, friendly, courteous, and not pushy. The installation went well, with one hiccup that was very promptly and properly resolved.
Installation is very neat, and they happily put a spare cable running from to the roof, if I can add more panels in the future (subject to MCS and DNO rules which are a bit outdated.)
Installing solar panels is almost a no-brainer. It makes a lot of sense, save money and help the environment. I confess adding a battery is harder to justify on cost alone. But the Octopus flux tarriff makes a lot of sense for the less sunny days.
Word of warning though - you can spend a lot of time look at the various apps to see how well the system is working.
