Quick friendly service. Manager was courteous and efficient. Whole whole transaction took less than 10 minutes. Replacement lenses fit perfectly.

When I went in at the time

When I went in at the time, I really needed help to get new glasses mine were very old and falling and breaking apart. I called. I got an appointment the same day within minutes and within a week and a half. I had new glasses I had no issues, no problems, no troubles they were professional staff, and they helped me and I appreciate them and I love my new glasses

Stanton Optical, on Telshor Dr. in Las Cruces, NM, NEEDS HELP! My partner and I had scheduled eye exams for 530 and 545. We called ahead, and said we were running a few minutes late due to traffic. No big deal. When we arrived at 535, my partner went to the counter to sign in. I came in at 545, and she was STILL standing there! We both then stood there for about 10 additional minutes, without anyone acknowledging us, so we signed in and sat down. By 6pm, I had to interrupt someone to ask about our appointments, since we still had yet to be helped. All of a sudden, we are brought to the back. Why was no one was checking on scheduled appointments, OR the sign-in sheet that entire time, is beyond me!

The woman doing the tests, Paloma, asked if our appointments were at 6 and 615, and Sergio nodded his head. Excuse me!? I’m not sure if he was trying to cover up the fact we were forgotten about, or if he really just had no idea what was going on. My partner finally had her exam at 615, and as she was finishing, Paloma said I’d have to wait for another person ahead of me. Again, EXCUSE ME!? When she returned, I reminded her that my appointment was at 545, not 615, like Sergio said. She checked her system again and confirmed, sending the woman she had brought with her back to the front, AGAIN. Paloma was very polite, patient, and friendly, and it’s because of her I give even 1 star. I was very ready to simply walk out after the whole ordeal in the front. Everyone in the front dropped the ball, and Paloma was just back there waiting to do her job.

By the time I was done, it was 7. Neither my partner nor I got any feedback from the “Doc” about our tests, one of them being an Ultrasound they didn’t tell us costs extra. We received no info about how to follow up for test results either. Literally NOTHING! What did we do those tests for then!? It’s not our fault the staff messed up and ran us out of time!

Continuing on, were charged for extra services without our CONSENT! My partner should have had her entire exam covered by insurance, but no one ever told us the eye ultrasound isn’t covered! We were just told to move to the right for the next test. I was also unaware that that test wasn’t included in the standard testing and was charged as well. Had we known, we would have opted out of that.

Lastly, they don’t even have record of me! I have documents from 2022 and 2024 for eye exams and purchases in my app, but I don’t exist in their office!? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Sergio wanted me to buy 2 pairs of glasses, saying my insurance is “Out of Network,” but, as it turns out, I got a $130 discount from my insurance anyway! I had to push to get my card ran to find out. They also gave my partner the run around, trying to say she owed over $100, but really they just “forgot” about the insurance that 3 other people had already asked about and she’d shown her card for. Why ask for info if you’re not going to log it!? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! She still had to pay for the service she wasn’t told cost extra.

At the end of it all, Sergio had the audacity to ask for a review. So here it is. I will NEVER, EVER, IN A MILLION YEARS, support ANY Stanton Optical EVER again!

Due to lack of communication, transparency, and overall INcompetency, I wipe my hands of Stanton Optical, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know to go ANYWHERE else! WALMART IS BETTER! I hope someone who actually cares sees this and does something, but given their current state of affairs, I doubt it. Today was my last time in their business!

The people there were very helpful and…

The people there were very helpful and nice. Every customer that walked in I noticed that they would acknowledge him right away. It would say we’ll be right with you as soon as we’re done with this customer most people don’t even tell anything. They don’t even acknowledge you, but they were great here.

Warning, no Doctor on premises and no explanation when you’re unable to see and everything of your prescription is totally off.

Unfortunately, not realizing that there was not an optometrist or an ophthalmologist on scene, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment there. From the day I got my eye exam and told them I could not see with the contact samples that “Eye Doctor”Who knows where he is recommended (which I tried to tell them at the time was totally different prescription than my last exam) to the last time I went back after calling customer service for a second exam and was left waiting for an hour I finally just left. Would really appreciate if somebody could give me the district manager, corporate individuals with this company or somebody I can speak with for just getting my money back at this point. I’m not interested in getting yet another exam by an average person who happened to apply for this job with no actual formal education for something I’m paying top dollar for. I had no idea. I should’ve actually checked that fact, assuming that that would be illegal.They really need to be more transparent in their practices, as I have never in Las Cruces ever come across the problem of no doctor present for my eye exam. I definitely will share this experience on every Internet platform available, she tried to warn people, who like myself, has no idea that this is going on.

They just couldn't get it right

They just couldn't get it right, they sent my glasses out twice and they were still wrong, so I asked for my money back.

Good service

My original prescription was not correct, but Stanton remade my glasses after I made a second trip to my optometrist for a new, correct prescription.

Assembly line attitude.

Don't think my Rx is correct. But more importantly no assistance/direction about putting in the contacts (I haven't worn in over 20 years) I had trouble, asked a couple of questions about what the lens should look like before putting in, was there a specific way etc. Was asked which if I wanted a multi focal lens, I think that was what he said. I didn't understand and he really didn't explain. No help. Picked up my ordered contacts & same thing. Get in and get out was the clear attitude of the people I worked with.

I feel like I was forced to buy…

I feel like I was forced to buy contacts that I didn’t want I let them know how uncomfortable the contacts were n I was given the contacts n sent out the door worst experience ever and I have been letting people know how bad it was and recommended never to go there

I thought my progressive glasses back…

I thought my progressive glasses back to the store because I couldn’t see the computer without lifting them off my face. They checked them and the progressive part of the lenses was made too low on the lenses. I was just expecting to have them remade and maybe pay a fee or have new glasses made and pay the difference. That was not the case! They replaced my glasses at no charge. Thats customer service and I will always come back to this store. I don’t mind paying a little more for my glasses or an exam if I’m getting great service. Thank you so much!!! 😊

It took over 2 hours to finish my wife…

It took over 2 hours to finish my wife I eye exams then when we finally finished and it was time to hand them the glasses we selected people were just goofing around instead of helping us then when we finally got help the lady suggested I get glass not plastic lenses and I agreed to pay more for the glass she still ended up ordering me plastic lenses so I will not be coming back in the future

I scheduled an eye appointment for my daughter. When we arrived, they told us about their special. I could get two pairs of glasses with a free eye exam for $118. After the exam, we selected glasses. At that point they told us that their machine was down and they couldn't actually have glasses ready that day as advertised, so I could pick them up or have them mailed to me. I asked what it would cost to just get the prescription and go elsewhere to fill it since we needed glasses that day. It was going to cost more than the $118. Since I don't live in Las Cruces, they said they would mail the glasses to me. They said not to give them a PO box because the USPS wouldn't be shipping them. So, I gave them my street address. And, you guessed it, they were shipped through the USPS! Oh, and I had to pay for shipping. You know, the shipping that shouldn't have been required if they had been upfront with me. Terrible experience!

I bought a trifocal and I still can't…

I bought a trifocal and I still can't read and then the person that I talked to from customer service wants to argue and my sunglasses were like cook bottles and we paid for the skinny glasses and they're arguing with us about that. But then, again, when I was in the wait room and they were doing all this, the two people waiting on us did not even know what the proper way to charge or anything else, so you buy cheap glasses. And that's what you get

The girl that assisted us was extremely nice and helpful.

We received our glasses sooner than the date she gave us.

We are very happy with our glasses.
