My name is John Foulser and my wife and I just had our taxes done today. We dropped off our taxes last week for them to be processed and yesterday I received a call from the office that our taxes were ready, We went to the office and sat with Jasmine Lenchyshyn. In going over out taxes that were done by a different person both Jasmine and the Office Manager at the Bunting Road St. Catharines office helped straighten out the mistakes. Clearly they knew what they were doing and were able to get us a tax rebate. The entire office was very well mannered and accommodating. We have been doing business with H&R for a number of years and would like to praise Jasmine, her Manager and the entire staff on such a good experience. It makes us want to have our taxes done by H&R every year.

Thank you H&R Bunting Road St. Catharines for a job well done.

They apply random pricing at the end, when you have completed your tax returns. So either you pay either you start it all again.

They applied the highest pricing on me and my spouse, the independant/autonomus worker one. While we deleted all the forms related to autonomous workers. Not only they applied this but also they didn't gave us the couple pricing. So it's false add/representation, I'm thinking about taking it to the ''Office de la protection du consommateur'' of Quebec.

Client service says impossible to change, impossible to apply discount.

Thank you to Taslimbsnu Rana and John Botelho from the H&R Block Mississiauga office at 7700 Hurontario Street. They both were very professional, great customer service and knowledgeable on my taxes. I would recommend both to prepare yours. I say both since I had to return with my T4 not on CRA and to not have me wait for long, John aided with preparing my taxes since Taslimbanu had a scheduled client to attend to. Thanks to both!

I had an appointment but there was a mix up as the confirmation email was not from the right office.I had booked online.I showed up at Southgate Mall Edmonton office and they didn't have an appointment for me due to this.The woman apologized and said she would help me anyway.She got me in quickly.The man I was sitting beside in the waiting area said he has been seeing her for years as she is very good at what she does.I discovered that Ferdousi at this office is in fact knowledgeable, quick and has excellent customer service.I would highly recommend this woman.

I went to H&R to file up my tax. I paid $180 for 5 minutes job and at the end I owed $50 for my tax. Needles to say I have no business an it was just a very short and simple procedure because I owned nothing. Funny thing is I've been contact by CRA 10 months later to review my docs and they provided a $900 refund for me as my tax calculation was somehow wrong.

If you are using chrome browser for your online filing of 2025 beware should you click on a learn more link while filing you may run into problems with the same dialogue box continuing to run in the background of your computer once you have signed out of the tax programe. When you go to turn off your computer you will have to X out of the learn more dialogue box you selected. I attempted to get assistance from tech on how to fix this however they advised me to google or you tube for a solution.

Every year I go to h and r but also use Intuit and compare the results. The last few years it has been relatively similar. This year however Intuit says my return is 3700 for my wife and I. H and r says our combined return is $1200. The tax specialist also compared to make sure no mistakes were made and everything was the same. So where is the other money? Needless to say I left without signing anything and will e-file myself Monday. Something is really wrong there

I left my review yesterday in details, but they managed to remove it. A tax preparer at Milpitas office, Milpitas California, stole my identity and ruined my life. I'll post videos of my detailed story on all the social media platforms in the near future.

H&R Block, London Ontario, representative Pamela Worts. Do not use under any circumstances. A simple tax return was done, no deductions. Did not earn much so in fairness did not want to deduct anything. They then charged me for insurance I did not want nor need. Six weeks later, no response to my many requests via email and no money returned to my credit card.Further to this, Pamela Worts became rude as soon as I said I did not want the insurance. On top of this I paid twice as much as I have since discovered from other tax companies. I have given them every opportunity to do the right thing and they cannot even respond to an email. STAY AWAY FROM H&R BLOCK. Better companies are available, companies that won't over promise and under deliver.

I signed onto HR Block online to submit my own and my husbands taxes, I also purchased the "deluxe" package so that I could submit medical expenses. I completed my taxes and submitted them with no issue. I completed my husbands and was unable to submit them, when I tried to online submit it would just sit there with the time wheel and say, "sit back and relax while we check your payment" I had already paid and it would just sit there like that indefinitely. I contact online support and they were not very helpful and told me I would have to print it out and mail it in. I then tried to print it out but could only find that option to print a version that said it was for personal use only and could not be used to mail in to the CRA. I contacted online support again to find out how to print a copy I could mail to the CRA, this support agent was very helpful and tried to figure out why I couldn't submit online and then told me they were going to submit my issue to the next level of support and to expect them to contact me via email. I waited weeks and heard nothing, so I contacted HR Block chat support again to ask for a refund for my "deluxe" pkg and to let them know I would just submit my husbands taxes through another website. Vanessa was completely NOT helpful and said there are NO refunds and I should mail my tax return in.
I will never use HR Block again, what a waste of time.

No issues with my tax return initially. Further work needed to be done on the prior year and an update to this year. I contacted the Mississauga location 3 times over 4 weeks, each time I was told someone would get back to me. No one ever did.
I then called the head office. Again was told someone from the Management team would get back to me in 3-5 business days. While they did call back the same day to advise that they would be speaking with my tax representative in 2 days, it has now been 2 weeks and I have not heard from them. Once again I had to call to try and get an update. Have to wait yet again for someone to contact me. I have been dealing with for 3 months! This is absolutely ridiculous!!

Filed my income taxes after moving back to Canada from the US. H&R Block claimed my moving expenses on my behalf. CRA doesn't allow moving expenses from another country, moving expenses are allowed within Canada only. I went to H&R Block as I thought my tax return was more complex that year, and I figured I would get help from "experts. These guys don't know what they're doing. Now I'm paying back the rebate I got from 2021 until end of 2025. Don't use H&R Block. Their representatives are taught to use their software but don't understand tax laws and will royally screw up your taxes. You're better off using TurboTax like I've done every other year for the last 10 years. Huge thumbs down for this company.

I could have filed my taxes using their free package, but because I had $1 in bank interest, they forced me to buy their premier package.

1 star because they got my tax return in on time. That's the positive. The negative includes:
- no rough guides to costs are provided, and I had to phone and hang on the line for half an hour to get an estimate of what my return would cost
- invoice time arrives, and the final cost is 70% higher than what was quoted
- messages regarding my tax arriving at times as strange as Sundays at midnight
- zero chance to provide feedback, no response from help department, no email address you can mail to ask for guidance
- after all of this, the person helping me got the tax return wrong and my return was off by several hundred dollars.

Don't waste your time or money.

I contacted H&R Block in Canada to file my 2023 taxes on line. Provided my personal details and information to retrieve my income details from Revenue Canada.
I was advised on-line to now sit back as my tax return was being prepared.
Did not hear back for a day. Then saw a msg advising that my new Remote Tax filing consultant is now a Manav Vaidya, Tel. 905.522.5392 from the original Run Young MO, Tel. 905.689.4787.
Tried calling both - no answer.
Contacted TurboTax and filed my tax
return smoothly.
Haven't heard from H&R Block to this day!

Mrs Mali at 960 Marine drive HR & BLOCK is the best tax professional that I’ve worked with. I appreciated her for dealing with the complexity of my tax situation.
I know I can always count on her to file an accurate tax return and I’m so happy that I can drop off my paperwork and in a few weeks my return is ready to file.

Well I filed with them last year I am on a low fixed income and my apartment got all burt up by arson so I call them to see if they could help me out I have one T5 that's it with the given circumstances I thought they would cut me a break nope 132$ to file one T5 that's pretty steep and harsh like money isn't everything but filing ones taxes is very important though so thanks for nothing

Cathy at Vernon H&R Block went to bat for me when I was audited by Revenue Canada.The issue- actually for the second year in a row- was my claim for medical expenses.The amount was quite large and therefore flagged.I got a letter from Revenue Canada requesting ALL receipts for ALL expenditures.Luckily I had left those receipts with H&R Block.There were a couple of disagreements costing me $151 even though my claim was over $11,000! It was nice just to hand the govt. letter to Cathy who was a great advocate on my behalf.
