If I could give a zero rating for customer service, I would. I waited for over an hour for phone assistance to be told I could get an answer quicker online. I explained that I had multiple questions as it was a new type of filing for me. When the customer service rep said it would take 30 minutes, I replied that's ok, I have 30 minutes and needed live person support. She then responded, "I don't have 30 minutes", and hung up on me. Do not ever use this tax service platform.

Absolutely the worst customer service and product. I had questions while using the product and would ask questions to get answers days later and if I had a follow up question, it went to another agent for days. I requested a refund on Feb 23rd and with the same service received faulty information back and forth for a month. Finally sent what they needed and was told 6 weeks. It has been 7, was told it would be back on my payment method and still nothing. Biggest scam for TAX product. Going back to INTUIT in a hurry.

After filing my taxes using U file I am unable to log in and view my tax info
I've contacted them several times and they've suggested some trouble shooting to no avail
I've sent them another email and haven't
heard anything
Also sent screen shots of the message I'm getting
Called customer service and it said the wait time was an hour
I paid and now can't even see anything

I have used ufile.ca for 10 years without issues.

This year, I paid in December, but they want me to pay again before I can file. I sent an email a week ago. This morning I was on hold for 45 minutes. Someone answered. Thirty seconds into my description of the problem, we were disconnected.

I did, later today, get a voucher code, which solved the payment issue.

Overall, I like the product, but the customer service has serious issues.

I have a very simple tax return, today is the last day to fill it, and UFILE is slow and unable to calculate my taxes.

Terrible tax program. I've used tax software before and this one is the absolute worst. I spent 6 hours on my taxes trying to fill out the forms and kept getting a rejection notice when I try to file, most of the forms don't match up with the T4 forms I have. They don't have the same boxes that have information for. The support is useless, I had to pay to get support and they weren't helpful at all. I'll never use this one again. Needless to say, my taxes are not filed yet. 😡

Stay away from Ufile. Worst software to file a tax return, filled with glitches. After making the payment, won’t let you file the return. It pushes you to make payment again. Their customer service is a nightmare.

uFile sucks!!!

After using this software for years thinking they made the correct determinations for income splitting, tax credits etc…. I have been going back and forth with the CRA as they continue to challenge these items for my 2024 return!!!

Reached out to uFile and received the following:
“Unfortunately, we don't provide this service.

Ufile did the calculation based on the client's data entry. In this case, you will need to deal with CRA directly.”

Pathetic!!!

Box says 4 returns, more for low wage earners.
Completed my daughter’s return.
Tried to open a second return and it locked me out!!
Used this last year after being screwed by turbo tax, with no problem. Waste of time and money!!!.

I have used a few tax programs, Ufile is the worst I tried. I started by 2025 taxes only to find this program is labour intensive and is difficult to navigate. Ex. If you have a slip with box 20 amount, you have to treat as business income. Then you have to make sure you fill out another document to ensure the amount carries forward. I have never seen it treated this way. I gave up on the program and when out and purchased Turbotax which is far superior and easier to use. I waste my money purchasing the Ufile program.

I'm done with Ufile. This is the first time I actually needed to call, since I do it all on my own. I got an error, so I called and waited 30 minutes. The agent barely spoke English, told me to email, then hung up. I emailed, waited days, called again (another 30-minute wait), was told they'd handle it. They sent the same unhelpful information by email I'd already found numerous places. I replied with details, got no response. Called again, waited 30 minutes, got hung up on again. Never using them again.

nowhere on the main pages of the sales box for ufile 12 2025 does it say Windows 11 required. Downloaded and went to activate...says W11 required, Go check box, see it's noted in very small print on the bottom of the box.
call and hold time expected to be 30 minutes...thank God it only took 12 minutes and hard to understand person says W10 ok now, they fixed [patched]??. Why not not that on front of box? In large letters. 80 billion or more W10 computers still running....why require W11 ???. Next year I suspect I will migrate to other company software after forever using UFile.

Nobody responds to telephone calls. You wait for ever and hang up. The reason for making telephone call is due to the fact that online responses are very slow, sometimes several days.

Last year I used them with great frustration! This year I waited on 800 tel. line for 50 min and was told in broken English to call back later "I have many persons waiting on line; ask for AYMAN" call back later in very broken English. They told they could see that I'd waited 50 Minutes! and to call back later! I'll definitely go to some other Income filer!!!

Worst customer service, I got ripped by buying the software and no support. The software does not even produce printable copy of the return and when I called the customer support, they have no idea.

I've been using it for at least 12 years for a relatively complex rental income situation and other passive and employment income. Quite simple to use. Autofill is nice once the documents are sent in by mid-March.

Worst customer services, sucks software never use it.

Customer Service Support is very bad.
I had a simple question about my purchase; however, the UFile support representative who answered the call was unable to communicate effectively in English.
I requested to speak with someone knowledgeable about the product, but instead, my call was disconnected three separate times without any explanation. This conduct is unprofessional, discourteous, and completely unacceptable.
I've raised a serious concern regarding my recent support experience, requested a follow-up, no answer from Ufile yet!
