Data rates are reasonable in most countries, but their business practices are terrible. Only two months after I bought their 'non-expiring' SIM and paid the exorbitant express shipping fee (the only option), they informed me that I would have to get a replacement SIM within 4 months...and pay the exorbitant express shipping charges again! Otherwise, the credit that was supposed to last one year would be wiped out. Steer clear of these people.

Customer service is almost non existent or they reply with vague answers. Especially after canceling eSIM and SIM cards saying new SIM will be much better. They don't want to explain what is better besides that I've lost lots of money with them on my existing SIM cards they forced to expire.

It has now been several months since I am experiencing connection issues and chat support is completely useless.
I informed them on day 1 and have since tried a number of different procedures which were supposed to resolve the problem. None of them have worked so far.
The most frustrating part though is, that each time you contact the support center, they are completely clueless about previous actions and start from scratch.. remove SIM, restart blah blah

The company recently informed its customers that the current SIM cards will cease to function somewhere mid 2022. You will not get back your balance on old cards and unless you buy a new SIM won't be able to use their service anymore.

This is an absolute no-go for any service provider and I cannot understand how the company chose such a despicable approach towards its clients!

The web page can't recognized me to enter the dashboard to check what happens...
I don't recomend it.

I recently found out about how the sim cards would be expiring in March 2022, meaning you would have to get a new SIM card and new number therefore violating the promise the 1 year topup provided. Customer services were very unsympathetic regarding how important it is for me to keep my number. When I said the main reason I used the service was for incoming SMS, they said this was just a free add-on and that I'm only really paying for the internet service (meaning it's OK if they drop the incoming SMS feature!).

However, I did manage to get a PAC code from them so I could port my number. I tried to port it to EE, but they said they couldn't do it (something to do with the phone number range) but then I tried Three UK, and after lots of back and forth, it was eventually ported to there after about one week.

My Surfroam account is still active with a new 079* number (the old one was 075*). So I'm interested to see how long that stays active given that I'm still using the old Surfroam SIM card.

Second country I visit in one month, and the second time it doesn’t work first Brazil which a lot of my credit and vanished without really make a contact with Internet and now Korea also no contact. When my credit is finished I will probably not use it anymore

Support is ok and the payment options excellent. Problem is that they don't work in many countries where they should according to list. Unfortunately they are not alone in this. Things Mobile is far more expensive and shares exactly the same problem. My theory is that they can't keep track of all the agreements they are supposed to have (or the external operator does not honor them.)

North Macedonia - no go
Switzerland - no go
Russia - some go, worked sporadically
Sweden - go
Greece - go

APN is set up correctly, etc. I have even less trust that this will work in corrupt countries in sub-saharan Africa or Central Asia, many of which are on the list.

They do have support but their solutions don't work, so I stopped using them.
Nowadays all hotels offer WIFI, even in Africa, Zanzibar, so no need for these esim global data, even airport have free wifi for immediate Covid test, just get local sim, paid USD 30 for 20G lasted 3 weeks and have plenty left over....

I would give no stars.
The instructions look simple, but they don't work.
There is no number to call, so I used the chat and it takes an age to get a simple reply and when you do, it fails to either work or make any sense... And I run an IT company!

Seems to only have 2 employees on LinkedIn.

My mistake, I've lost my money. Don't do the same as me and avoid this company.

Surfroam sim works as it should, however customer support doesn't respond to emails, so be careful. To see your balance you have to go to their site, log in, and then copy paste the sim number and the puk code into a field, évery single time to access your dashboard. Unable to see data sessions. It's all a bit basic compared to flexiroam.

Im 2020 habe ich Surfroam wegen Corona nicht genutzt. Wir durften mehrheitlich nicht ins Ausland. Eine Aufladung, welche jährlich für mindestens 25€ gemacht werden muss ging da vergessen. Surfroam war so frech, dass sie mir 52€ Guthaben einfach gestrichen haben. Trotz Nachfrage und eben erwähntem, gutem Grund, lässt Surfroam nicht mit sich reden und behält mein Geld. Das ist Diebstahl!!

I've had surfroam for 2 years now. It's data-only for travelling. Customer service is very fast, using Facebook Messenger and have been very informative. Since I got the SIM card it's worked well everywhere I have travelled. I even use it as a backup internet at home in case the wifi goes down. The sim has been used in several Android and iOS devices with no problem.

i bought a surfroam sim card which stopped working after 3 days. Surfroam refused to change the sim and asked me to send the faulty sim back to examin,
After sending back the sim at my expenses they still dont give me an other sim although it is clear that no data has been consumed on the sim all this period.
their customer care is unexistend.

Fair rates around the world. Easy to charge. I received the SIM card very quickly at home. I use it to track my car. No subscription costs, just what you use (if the car is moving). I would have liked to see internet bundles that wipe out all competition.
