Pathetic Service

Ordered through Talabat today and at the end it gave error that something happened and we tried again and that time we got the error that your account got blocked. Contacted through chat and got the reply that somebody will call us and indeed they called and the person who called was very rude and blindly told that my account disabled and violated the terms and conditions and no way to unblock and cancel the account ..were using Talabat for years and first time facing issue like that and was shocked to see the service attitude from Talabat and after that multiple chats and emails send and no reply except i got template like answer that my account got disabled. The only thing i were asking how to unblock and how to use the account again as i used my mobile account number for the account and no reply .They don't care the customer .First of all be nice to customer and even if their mistake update them what was the issue and properly update not like sending the template and no answer to queries. Pathetic service

I am getting scam emails from this company alleging I made purchases and sending me receipts. I do not have an account with them, and they do not respond to inquiries.

Very Poor Experience: Incomplete Orders and No Proper Resolution

Unfortunately, my recent experiences with Talabat were extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
I placed a pizza order that included a promotional Pepsi and salad. Only the pizza was delivered. When I asked the delivery person about the missing items, his response was indifferent, and he said he didn’t know and that the restaurant might contact me — which never happened.
Customer service initially refused to resend the missing items and instead added only 45 EGP as compensation, despite the full order costing 250 EGP. I spent nearly 3 hours contacting customer support, filing complaints, and even being called late at night, only for the missing items to finally arrive after all that time — with no proper apology or accountability.
The next day, I placed a supermarket order through Talabat and received the wrong order, with no proper solution to deliver the correct items.
This is not just about money — it’s about repeated mistakes, wasted time, poor handling of issues, and complete disregard for customer experience. I expected much better from a company of this scale.

The worst customer service ever you…

The worst customer service ever you have to deal with unfortunately they are not responding and not professional at all the staff you feel like you are dealing with trainees not qualified one I had been facing the problem of multiple deduction for the same order although I had escalated the same to avoid this I had been told by one agent recently her name minhal that none of the customer service agents had follow up for your complaint due to that I had been charged many times for the same order like careless staff like naveed and at the end one rude staff who didn’t show any respect or regret for the issue promise me that within 24 hours my issue will be resolved but he was one of them like the other staff not professional and he didn’t solve or follow up to refund my account and he didnt even call to inform me about any progress although they took my money due to a useless system and careless staff who shouldn’t be in customer service because they are just on the app chat to pass time with the customer unfortunately I should take this matter forward it’s a fraud

Crappy service

Crappy service. They have no control over their drivers. The drivers pick up orders and dont deliver and switch off their phone and there is no explanation given. Frustrating

If I could give it zero stars I would. Waiting so long for order the time is not accurate and the wrong food comes and freezing cold and then just given 15aed back when spending 80aed on food. Absolutely disgusting service and rob u of ur money and time. Food went to waste and waste of money will never order from them again. DO NOT USE

Extremely bad customer service

Extremely bad customer service. They don’t take any action, and instead of solving the issue, they block customers to cover up their poor service. Talabat has completely lost it. They clearly don’t value their customers, and this is the beginning of their downfall.

Not trustworthy

Absolutely crap. They have charged me more and sent me wrong invoice kind of one/tenth of what was charged. Wrong invoice both the times having charged 10 to 15 times more than what was sen as an invoice.

After repeated chasing still they are not able to provide an invoice.

No way to contact or no way to reach a customer service. Absolutely fraud.

Unacceptable service from Talabat…

Unacceptable service from Talabat Groceries.
Almost every grocery order I place has missing items, yet I am consistently charged for products that are not delivered.

When I raise support requests, they are closed as “resolved” without any actual resolution. Even after being contacted by Talabat staff, I am explicitly told they cannot assist, while the incorrect charges remain. This is not a one-time issue — it has happened repeatedly.

Charging customers for items they did not receive and then refusing to correct it is completely unacceptable. Talabat needs to take accountability and fix both its order accuracy and customer support processes.

Worse experience!!!

Talabat Oman....you need to improve big time!! You deliver wrong item and refuse to refund me telling me to return to the store and return the wrong item.
The wrong item that you DELIVERED yourself.
Apologising and reading scripts does not help.
What if it was a melted icecream..would i also need to return it back to the shop???
On top of that, the prices shown kn the item is different from the receipt.

A big shoutout to Talabat food delivery drivers who are out on the roads in this heavy rain, navigating flooded roundabouts and slippery streets on scooters so that others can stay safely indoors. Delivering food and groceries in these conditions takes courage, patience, and real commitment.
To everyone driving today, please be extra considerate. Give Talabat drivers space, slow down around them, and allow them priority where possible. A small act of patience from other road users can make a big difference to someone’s safety. Thank you to the Talabat drivers who keep communities going even when the weather makes it difficult. Service Failures, Data Concerns & Lack of Accountability

Dear Talabat Team,

I am writing this email as a formal escalation after repeated unresolved issues and weeks of follow-ups, with no clear ownership, transparency, or accountability from your platform.

At this point, the experience with the Talabat app and customer service has been deeply disappointing and extremely frustrating.

Key concerns I would like to highlight:

Over the past few weeks, I have faced multiple service failures, including:

Orders being confirmed and amounts debited, while the app fails to process or deliver correctly

Wrong orders being prepared by restaurants or delivered by riders

Long waiting times with no proactive resolution, leaving the customer to chase support repeatedly

This is now the second instance within a single week where I was left waiting for my breakfast, only to receive either an incorrect order or no usable resolution after payment was already deducted.

Equally concerning is the complete lack of a visible escalation structure:

No clear escalation matrix

No senior contact points

No accountability trail

No proper logs or reference-based follow-ups

Customers are repeatedly given false assurances that issues will be resolved, only to follow up again days later with no outcome.

There are also serious data privacy concerns. On multiple occasions, riders have contacted me directly, after which my number has been exposed to spam and unsolicited calls. This raises questions about how customer contact details are being handled and protected.

When issues are escalated, the resolution offered — such as OMR 1.500 vouchers — feels dismissive and disconnected from the actual inconvenience, time lost, and repeated failures experienced. This does not reflect a serious or customer-centric approach to service recovery.

I would also like to note that I am a long-standing Talabat user, with approximately 12,000–15,000 loyalty points, and this level of service is not what one would expect after years of usage and trust in the platform.

I am sharing this not just as a complaint, but as a clear signal that the current service quality, escalation handling, and data governance are not meeting acceptable standards. With increasing competition in this space, experiences like this will inevitably push loyal customers away if not addressed meaningfully.

I request:

A proper review of these incidents

A clear response from a senior operations or customer experience team

Clarification on data protection measures related to rider–customer contact

A more appropriate resolution aligned with the actual inconvenience caused

I hope this message reaches someone who can genuinely review and act on it, rather than routing it back into the same unresolved loop.

I try to use Talabat every once in a while hoping it would not be something I regret. I regret it everytime. Their fulfillment is close to zero. There is always an issue with fulfillment. I would give the app zero stars if I could.

Terrible customer service support. They read from a pre-made script and pretend to help without actually helping.

My order was not delivered to me and they refused to give me a refund. Absolutely unacceptable. PLEASE AVOID.

Price more than restaurant menu

I always ordered from 1 restaurant on talabat. Once I went to the restaurant and saw the menu. Shocked to see the price, on talabat it's much more than the restaurant. And top ot that delivery and app charges. Its pure looting their costumers.

Extremely poor service and zero accountability.
My order was accepted and charged, yet never delivered. The restaurant confirmed they never received the order, while the Talabat app falsely showed the status as “in preparation” for over an hour.

Customer support hid behind “policies” instead of resolving the issue. After waiting an hour with no food and no transparency, I was offered a 15 AED voucher as compensation — completely inadequate for the inconvenience and wasted time.

I was left hungry and forced to place a new order from another restaurant, waiting yet another hour. There was no real concern for the customer experience, only scripted responses and excuses.

Talabat positions itself as a leading platform, but this experience reflects irresponsibility, misleading order tracking, and poor customer care. Very disappointing and not acceptable.

Rubbish app, never placed an order. Need a local number?!

Tried repeatedly installing the app just to order food in Bahrain but ...no luck!
Obviously, i did not have a middle-eastern mobile number and when trying to place an order I used the other two numbers I had (European and British) but when tried to confirm my number I got the same error-message that I should retry later and after a while this was blocked due to many tries!!!
I tried the next day, I was still not able to confirm my number which meant I was not able to order anything!

Utter rubbish ! The app is horrendous! There was not even a support contact us page in order to get this resolved. For some reason this horrible app is monopoly and there is no other app for ordering food(!!!)
