No certificate
This company is extremely disorganized. When i signed up, the company informed me they assist in finding jobs on the alternative certificate to work toward the requirements of the full certificate in AZ. Come to the time i meet the requirements for the alternative certificate, and they say i have to find employment fully on my own before they'll even give me the alternative certificate, while no school nor any connections ive found so far will accept the alternative certificate, much less the PROMISE of the alternative certificate. Complete and total waste of time and money
Disabled Veteran turned down.
My husband is a veteran with a Bachelor in project management and since it’s a nationally accredited degree and not regional they said no. Yes it’s from ITT tech but I put in the work just as much as an Academic school person did. The short on teachers and someone especially a Veteran (disabled) wanting to teach and inspire and lead it’s a no.

Goodnight!
As a veteran
As a veteran, my goal was to channel my experience into the world of teaching and make a meaningful impact on today’s educational society. My journey began with reaching out to the Teacher of Tomorrow (ToT) program and requesting my transcripts. Initially, everything appeared to be moving along smoothly.
During the process, I spoke with an individual from the program who asked if I had any questions, but at that moment, I did not. Shortly after, I received an email informing me that I did not have the required fifteen core classes—subjects such as English, math, and history. This was the first indication of trouble. I called to clarify, only to find myself reviewing the same transcript that clearly showed the necessary core classes.
What struck me as particularly frustrating was the company’s approach to certification. Despite holding both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, my qualifications were questioned. When I addressed this with the staff and requested to speak with upper management, the representative insisted on arguing about the transcript. This interaction made me realize I should have checked online complaints before investing time in this process, which felt like a three-ring circus.
When I asked whether this treatment was standard for all applicants or if veterans were singled out, there was only silence in response. Based on my experience, I recommend avoiding this place.
Total scam program and there is no refund
Their program is a total scam. My assigned field supervisor from TOT only did one observation in the entire semester but on the portal it said I had five observations already. As a first year teacher, I didn’t get the promised support from them. When I tried to cancel the program with a good cause, they even required me to pay the remaining tuition. TEA should investigate them for their grimy practice.
For anyone who considers applying to TOT, I don’t recommend you to do so. TOT failed to deliver its promise, they made up fake observations. You probably gonna need a lawyer to get your money back or even cancel the program without being dragged into debt.
This program is terrible
This program is terrible. Every time I get to a point that I think I can move on and take my content exam they add 100+ hrs to my “training” that will not let me move on. I am already in the classroom and can’t get any credit for that. They are terrible at communicating. It is criminal how this program is run. I feel like I’m being held hostage. Please find a different program you will save yourself time, effort and money!
I am extremely frustrated with the program
I am extremely frustrated with the Teachers of Tomorrow program. I am not receiving any real assistance, and my emails are not being answered. It feels like they just copy and paste a standard response without actually reading my questions.
On top of that, they have not guided me on which specific courses I need to take to complete the required 12–15 credit hours; instead, they want me to take the PACT which I consider I have enough credit hours plus my GPA is over 3. I requested to review my transcripts again but they continue asking for official transcripts but they already have them. Because of all of these issues, I feel completely stuck and unsure of how to move forward.
At this point, I feel like the program is wasting my time since May (2025) that I started I am still in the same point, also the resources they gave me are totally different than the tests. Since I’m not getting any support, the only option I have left is to consider dropping the program. I expected guidance and clarity, but I have not received either.
Not a good experience
The videos are long and boring. They criticize your work too much even if you're working as a full time teacher and doing great at your position. When you write what your school is giving you praise for, they say it's not enough. Definitely do not recommend teachers of tomorrow. Go with another company.
The Prep Material Didn't Help Me
I started this program in September, and I noticed that when they requested my transcripts, I had my school send them the same day by email. It took them 2 weeks to get them. Meanwhile, they were sending me messages, asking for the transcripts.
The enrollment advisors were professional and helpful for the most part.
I studied a total of 5 practice tests. Four of them with Mometrix, and one with Pearson.
I asked one advisor if any of the practice material would be on the actual test, and she told me that the Pearson practice test was supposed to be close to the actual Visual Arts test that I would take...but it WAS NOT! I was able to score 95 and above on all the practice material, but none of the questions that I studied was on the real test. The questions on the subject material was totally different from what I was studying. I basically had to guess the best answer on at least 90% of the test. I studied hard, and put a lot of time towards studying for the past 2 months. I haven't seen my scores, but I knew when I was taking the test that I would fail. There is no way that I'm staying in this program.
Complete Waste of Time and Money
Completely ridiculous the price you will pay vs the quality of service you will get. Pretty clear why they have been struggling to maintain accreditation. No attention to detail or consistency is paid in their materials. Videos are riddled with technical issues, pages and any other written materials have a large number of typos and some outright incorrect or missing information. Customer service is unhelpful and useless. Zero effort is put into the lessons or their delivery, and grading is a 50/50 if anyone actually reads your papers or just takes off random points. Stay far away if you can, far better off spending the extra money and going through a university or another entity that knows what they’re doing.
This program was not for me
This program was not for me, I had no support and test prep was not helpful. I don’t recommend this program.
Grateful
I’ve worked with Samantha Logan this past week, and she was a breath of fresh air. I was on a deadline and stressed, but she guided me every step. I really appreciate you, Samantha!
Blessings,
Texas teachers sucks
This experience has been awful. I am going in three years of dealing with them. You can never speak to the same people or a supervisor and the people you can get on the phone will tell you something different each time you call. I wish I would have gone with any other program at this point.
Do not recommend this program
I would put zero stars if I could. The communication with staff and educators during the course work is the worst I ever experienced. You never talk to the same staff member, they are not upfront about the whole program. They charge you basically for nothing when you are the one who has to pay for the exams, which should be in the 4,000 they charge. Their information is not helpful, I had better information studying away from this program. I do not recommend this program to anyone, it’s a trap. I don’t even know how they are still state accredited. I would have never gave them my money if I knew it was going to be like this.
6 years of nightmare experiences. Run.
The program is meh, it’s easy to click through so there’s that but it’s not the most valuable once you’re in the classroom. If it was just that I’d probably give 3 stars.
But aside from the course work itself the entire company is such a mess I cannot tell you to run fast enough. Any sort of communication is a nightmare and if you need any sort of documentation from them within less than 2 weeks, no you don’t. And even that takes multiple phone calls that each take over 30 mins from holding to even get a human to them “trying”(??) to resolve your issue. Some people are better than others but apparently all the departments only email each other so literally nothing will ever get done with urgency. You will never actually get to speak to a supervisor so don’t bother (they probably wouldn’t even be helpful anyway). Nicole Lorenzo sent me an email saying she provided my documentation. It wasn’t attached. I spent hours on and off the phone getting it fixed. After mine came through she sent my spouse an email with the exact same thing, no attachments. Now it’s hours later and still no resolution.
I started the program in 2016, took a pause, then finished it and started teaching in 2019. Sitting here in August of 2025 telling you it has been this way the entire time. Do not give this company your time or money. Save your mental health.
(Also depending where you look it’s Texas Teachers or Teachers of Tomorrow, but it’s the same company, and it’s a nightmare.)
IT TAKES A VILLAGE
IT TAKES A VILLAGE, OUTSTANDING TEAM
I was so uncertain of how to start my teacher training and teachers of tomorrow made the process so easy. The advisors in the Texas district are awesome. I applied for a grant from Workforce Developement Office in my Local County and they Grant paid for the entire program. I then set a schedule to attack the program modules with ZEST. I really only needed help learning how to navigate the first class. Once I started I was well aware of how to meet the expectations of he Canvas Online Program. I took notes and passed every formative assessment which prepared me very well for the summative assessment. The best advice I can give anyone is trust the process and start the program. It is an excellent Certification Program and I feel prepared to enter the classroom and do my best work ever!!!
OUTSTANDING experience
Program advisors Kareem Merchant, Megan Donahue, and Brittany have all been OUTSTANDING to work with. They have all helped me every step of the way navigating the program. If I have a question I can always count on them to quickly answer it. They go above and beyond! They are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Thank you!
Participating in the Teacher of…
Participating in the Teacher of Tomorrow program has been a transformative step in my journey as an educator. From the moment I began the coursework, I found the program to be both rigorous and supportive—providing the foundational tools I needed to transition into the classroom with confidence.
The curriculum was thoughtfully designed to balance theory with practice. Modules on classroom management, differentiated instruction, and instructional design were especially impactful, equipping me with strategies I now use daily. I appreciated how the program emphasized not only academic success but also the social-emotional well-being of students—an approach that aligns with my personal values as a teacher.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the program was the mentorship and real-world application. My field experience and ongoing feedback helped refine my teaching style and prepared me for the real challenges educators face in today’s classrooms. The support from advisors and instructors made a noticeable difference—they were not just evaluators, but advocates who genuinely cared about my growth.
Thanks to Teacher of Tomorrow, I now hold a professional teaching certificate and have stepped into my teaching role with the skills, knowledge, and heart needed to make an impact. I am proud to be a product of this program and would recommend it to any aspiring educator ready to commit to the calling of teaching.
Worse program to join
Worse program to join. Stay away from this program. Their advisor has no clue how to help the program. They are not very helpful in your journey to become a teacher. They usually put you on hold if they don't know the answer.
This is my second review for this organization.
This is my second review for this organization. I have received three additional calls from the advisor team. Because my undergraduate transcript did not specifically list a GPA, I had to get a letter sent from the university specifically listing the GPA. Seems strange, since simple math would generate the same result. The advisor team received the requested letter last Friday, but because the transcript team has not yet processed it, not sure what that means, we still cannot move forward. I am supposed to receive an email to establish a time for a more meaningful conversation once the transcript team has processed my GPA letter.
