Best week of my life and made life long friendships from it

Where do i start. We initially booked a premium monohull with Yacht Week late 2023 for July 2024. We were offered a last-minute upgrade week prior to departing to what was we believed to be a premium catamaran. From the moment we stepped onboard, it was clear this was nothing more than a downgrade sold as an upgrade even our skipper agreed.

Based on their website, we expected a luxurious experience. However, the yacht we received was a 2016 model, despite the company advertising that their catamaran yachts are from 2018-2024. This is blatant false advertising, and the vessel was far from the premium quality they promised.

Worse yet, we endured 5 nights without air conditioning, which forced us to sleep outside in unbearable conditions. On the last night, we had no water on board and had to rely on neighboring yachts just to wash before going out. The rooms were consistently around 90°F, creating dangerous conditions for sleeping and putting the entire crew at risk.

To add to the frustration, when we landed in Croatia, we were informed that the security deposit had been increased to €8000. Given this was far beyond what we expected, we were instead given the option to pay a non-refundable €350. While I thought this was wrong, I was in no position to argue and had to accept it, adding to the overall stress of the trip.

Upon returning home, I had to take time off work due to heatstroke and the physical toll of sleeping in such extreme heat. Yacht Week did offer compensation, but it was for the entire crew and laughable when divided between us all. Given the stress and the long wait for any form of resolution, I accepted it just to put this ordeal behind me.

What’s even more frustrating is that Yacht Week seems to wash their hands of any issues when there are problems with the yachts, as they rent them from third-party providers and don’t take full responsibility for the experience. Given the challenges, stress, and lack of accountability throughout this ordeal, I will not be participating in any future trips with Yacht Week.

The only positive aspect was the incredible effort by our skipper and host, who did everything in their power to make us comfortable despite the awful circumstances. However, I strongly urge anyone considering this company to think twice. What they offer is an overpriced, falls significantly short of what is advertised, and they refuse to take responsibility when things go wrong.

I had an absolutely unreal week, my skipper and half took such good care of us and were so much fun!! The parties were incredible!! Fort George was my fave night and was absolutely stunning. Hope to be back in a couple years!

It was probs one of the best weeks of my life! It’s everything you expect and more. Amazing people, locations and parties. Truly once in a lifetime! I now have mates all over the world. If you don’t go you’re missing out

You HAVE to go on yacht week, such a good way to meet new people and see Croatia!
Although I deffo should have opted for the boat with AC lol - don’t make my mistake!! I think I’m still hanging from it lol. Would recommend to everyone!!!!

The most organized and fun week I could ask for. Great to not have to worry about planning everything and made the vacation so worth it. Staff always ensured we had the best experiences

We were super excited for Yacht Week Croatia and our expectations were BLOWN out of the water. Our skipper Emil and host El were the two most fun and loving people! By the end of the trip, it was like they were part of our family. We cannot wait to come back :)

Yacht Week was amazing! Truly a once in a lifetime experience -- if you're thinking about booking, you need to do it! Everything from start to finish is taken care of by the company so you can fully relax and enjoy your holiday. My crew - Norick and Kelsey - were fantastic. Norick stayed on top of the daily itineraries, he kept us updated as we sailed, taught us how to sail, got us there safely, and had great recommendations on what to do while on land. I seriously wouldn't have survived without Kelsey - her cooking was fantastic and she always knew exactly what we needed and when. She was a lot of help with booking excursions and giving recommendations too. I loved my experience and am already looking forward to booking again next year!

I attended Yacht Week Croatia Aug/Sept 2024 and it was one of the best decisions of my life! I went with a group of 10 friends and we had the time of our lives and I think that was mostly due to our amazing skipper Jake and our wonderful host Jamison! There are a few skippers and hosts in Yacht Week who you would be truly lucky to have the pleasure of being on board with. Jamison cooked astonishingly delicious meals for everyone (including me and I have vegan diet). She made sure we always had plans booked, took care of us like her little chicks, but just as importantly was a pro at setting rules and boundaries that worked for everyone! Jake kept us safe, took us all to gorgeous swim spots, and inspired me to get into sailing! Literally as soon as I got home I took my first sailing lesson! Thank you Yacht Week for giving us an experience of a lifetime!

I went on the last week of Yacht Week Croatia this year and it was an incredible experience! I recommend doing it at least once in your lifetime. The places we visited were spectacular, the food was amazing, and all the staff were super nice and helpful. Our skipper was super polite, respectful, and professional. He was really helpful whenever we had questions. The vibes were also great! Everyone was friendly and you could jump from boat to boat and make friends. All in all, an unforgettable experience!

AMAZING!! 5*, you have to go! I thoroughly enjoyed the trip I booked with Yacht Week around Croatia. Well organised and very fun, Polly was very helpful dealing with any issues you had.

It was an incredible and crazy week with TYW! We had a great catamaran, super friendly and helpful host and skipper. Shout out to Ali and Stu! All in all a week I will never forget!

First of all, having a Host and a Skipper that dealt with everything from dealing with us guests and our wild mix, to cooking us AMAZING meals and getting us from place to place safely and helping with tips about where to go and what to do, checking on us every so often and acting like our guardians made the whole experience so MUCH MORE worth it. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Babi, our lovely host and Raul, the most energic person i've seen, were heaven sent. I do consider ourselves as LUCKY for having them on our boat!
Everybody at yacht week clearly knows what they are doing and are doing an amazing job at being helpful and there at anytime, but also getting in to know as many of the people and make the guests feel welcomed and at home. The fact that as soon as the first night came over and i felt the familiarity whenever i walked down to our boat was such a heartwarming thing to experience. ♥️☀️
The whole week you get to experience some things that probably some would have said they'd never be able to (take a full on shower in front of hundreds of people while dancing to some random song? Sure, heck YEAH! Sleeping on a net while rocking on the water and watching the night sky?✨️ Sign me in again, PLEASE! 😭😭😭)
Yacht week is the week that gets out of you whatever side you might be trying to keep hidden and locked. There was one song we listened quite on repeat on our boat, and the lyrics that stuck were "release your inhibitions, feel the rain (and sun, and LIFE) on your skin..." (gotta thank our personal british boy band that we got as boat mates for making this song a staple for the summer).
Now, secondly, Summer of love they called it, and i may not have fallen in love with a specific someone, but i surely fell in love with the whole Yacht Week vibe and story and places! Schedule is made in detail and we all know what is going to happen and where. The amount of work the crew puts in organising everything is mind blowing and they seem to be doing it with such ease while still having fun themselves, which i adored to see.
No bored faces, only good times!
Love that they have the app where you can be up to date with everything and keep in touch with everyone!
Now, last but not least, a piece of advice: do yourself the favor of booking your week of a lifetime, even if only to get out and away from the regular life. You'll love yourself more, and you'll love people more!
Pack a beach towel, don't forget your sunscreen and make sure you empty some of your phone memory, cause you'll end up wanting to record EVERYTHING!

I had a wonderful time at Yacht Week. I never thought a week could be so full of experiences and create so many great memories. Our skipper Raul and host Babi were just the best, always making sure we had everything we needed to have the best experience. I definitely want to come back again in the coming years.

Paid for a yacht with airconditioning, got a room without airconditioning that wasn't fixed for the entire duration. So I had to sleep during a 37 degree Celsius heatwave for a week without aircon. The company thought that a refund of 177 euro makes up for a week of hell. Thanks for nothing, wouldn't book with you again.

HAD THE BESTEST TIME EVER AT THE YACHT WEEK! Polly was super helpful, defo booking again for next year :)
