Straightforward process to confirm my id.
I simply took a photo of my passport, then followed the instructions to take a video of myself.

Absolute waste of time

Absolute waste of time . Disgusting violation of privacy demanding video and voice recording for ID. I looked at who they share data with and of course they have plenty of get out clauses to share your data when they want. This is just data theft and if you give them video and voice and they share your data - which they will - you will find whoever gets their hands on your data will be making deep fakes of you. Also i had tech problems with the app too,. I didnt complete their checks as its not trustworthy - if I'd just stuck with the old fashioned way of producing paper docs I would have saved alot of time

We ask for a video to carry out a liveness and facial similarity check - to ensure you are a real person completing the check, and then we can match your face to the image on your ID document. This is done to ensure the verification check is as reliable and thorough as possible, as fraud is a big risk. 

We only share your data with the organisation that set up your verification check, and a short list of trusted third parties to enable us to carry out the checks. We have a number of measures in place to protect your data and take security incredibly seriously. At any time, you can request a data deletion in app, or by contacting the organisation that set up your check directly.

It's hard work doing the camera

It's hard work doing the camera, it didn't recognize my address which is redicous my cottage has been here maybe 50 years or more , then the face camera, anyone would think I was getting home office approval to be our foreign secretary, in one word CRAP

You also ask me to go on a live chat with a AI robot or email you , you get paid for doing your job , perhaps, you should be paying me to answer your systems problems, I think you have a cheek , Asking me to call you again at my expense, what planet are you on .I would be interested if I could get thou to speak someone without press 1 then 2 then 3 then back to 1 to hear the options again....

I completed the form on line, l am a little confused, what can you not do a screenshot of a document but you can send a photo? Also, asked for a payslip when lm retired. I spoke to a lady and she told me what to do.

Don't get me started

Don't get me started. It's stressful enough having to fill in all the paperwork to buy a house without having to try and use this app, which doesn't play ball with the tasks that you've being asked to do. Gave up and will try again later/tomorrow when I'm not so peed off with it.

I was struggling so asked them to…

I was struggling so asked them to telephone me to help sort my issues out.

Jess came to my rescue and in no time all requirements were securely met and thirdfort have provided all documentation to their clients.

Jess was first class in helping me, very, knowledgeable, kind and considerate.

I imagine the photo and scanning…

I imagine the photo and scanning experience for the passport might be difficult for older people to follow. I just managed it by chance. The scanning of the chip was new to me.
