I am extremely disappointed at the poor service from Christchurch Top maq store. We purchased a kit set shed, which was not cheap, some parts were faulty and broken. I have made numerous phone calls and sent several emails including photos of the faulty parts with assurances that someone would contact me to assist. I’m still waiting,,,,,,,, I will not be shopping with top maq again. The worst retail experience I have ever had.

Had a issue with a chainsaw I recently purchased. Customer service talked me through the process to repair chainsaw. Used saw again and had same issue. Got 2nd Customer service member who after viewing photos was quick to get a replacement part sent out. Thanks Caleb.

Another purchase form Topmaq, but this one wasn't straight-forward.
Stock issue at the nearest branch meant inter-island despatch. This introduced a 3rd party delivery delay with a Track and Trace issue and then to top it off we had a user problem....
BUT, the Customer Service engagement through this process was outstanding. All the problems along the way were sorted in a timely and professional manner. Result, correct product delivered to the correct person and operating correctly.
Well done all round !

This Company sells the best gear at the cheapest prices. I have bought 2 lawnmowers and a leaf blower and they are the best (one bladed ones so you dont have to replace the little blades very time you hit something). i bought a second lawn mower just to keep in the box as the 1st one was so good. Topmaq is a Company i can rely on to buy again and know i will ghet the best and the best price. And my leaf blower arrived the next day, the excellent delivery time was a very nice surprise. Companies like this are a service to the community

Brought a mincer for $200 upon using for the first time it had clear issues and while putting though meat, it had horrific sounds and died after load.
Brought it back in store to have it looked at after we emailed back and forth and I sent a video of mince being put through it showing the issue and them telling me that “the piece of meat is too big” even though it was only a small amount of mince in the video, didn’t hear anything back over a week so called up and they told us the gear box and casing was damaged and that’s due to “overload” from us so now that means it I not under warranty, when we asked for them to show how it could be our fault they were quick to say no about that..
If we want the mincer back we have to pay to have it back aswell as we have paid for the mincer with no refund when it was CLEAR it was not our fault
Knowing very well they can rebuild it and sell it to someone else at our expense. Never dealing with these people again, at the end of the day they sure know how to take peoples money and not refund due to their faulty terrible products.

Went in with the intention of buying a ride on mower. Not only did nobody bother to speak to me, they didn’t even look up from their desks. No wonder there’s never anyone parked outside.

Yes! Received product very handy and sturdy which are for my needs I have a few tools of the same brand so that's quite good als, very pleased!

Fast answer.

Bought a couple of quite expensive items on line as they didn’t have them in store, upon receiving them, I quickly realised I had bought the wrong ones and contacted the Hornby store to swap then for the correct ones when they had then in stock, which wasn’t a problem. They contacted me on Thursday last week to say they had them in stock now so on Monday went to swap them over. And wouldn’t swap them over because of a 15 day return policy! I explained the situation- it took 7 days to arrive to me, the items are brand new and have never left the boxes, and they didn’t have it in stock until Thursday last week but because it was 22 days since I placed the order online they couldn’t do a thing about it. Absolutely hopeless!

Helpful pathway provided to ensure a product failure enabled a replacement product to be send .Quick replying to emails ensured a successful replacement

Bought an expensive item wich turned up broken from new, but apparently customers fault and no warranties.

Great service on delivery of the pump and the price was a great deal on this pump. works really will and so quiet as will. Easy to fit on changing over from my old one too.

Wow I've been reading so many bad reviews , they should go to the Hamilton store the staff in their are so friendly and helpful If I had an issue with anything it was replaced no questions asked. My only problem is no cash so I have to put money in the bank before I go shopping 🙄the people that are complaining probably gave staff bad attitude so they got it back be respectful to staff and they are happy to help

Brought the nordic 350nm impact wrench skin as I already had batteries I thought I'd give it a go. Was dubious when I was looking at it in the store as the lower rated impact wrench was larger in size. Then looking at the impact driver that had the exact sane body was also curious if it was exactly the same internally with just the different head on the end. Bit the bullet anyway, how bad could it possibly be.

Had a test at home to do with it to test it's limitations to see if it would actually do what it was rated for.

Tried undoing my rear axle nut on my motorbike, done up to 250nm with a torque wrench. Wouldn't budge it. I undone it with a breaker bar and then started tightening it up in 10nm increments until the impact wrench wouldn't touch it. Got a consistent 180-190nm.

Same tightening and loosening torque with the impact wrench.

Wrote a review on the website on the tool. When it finally went online on the topmaq website they had modified my review.

I put 2 stars, they changes it to 3 stars, I wrote 180-190nm n maybe 200 if you held it onthere for awhile. They changed it to 280-290nm n 300nm if you held it on for awhile. I was suspicious about the review system as there was no negative reviews on the tools.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've put positive reviews on here to bump up the overall star rating. I've emailed them telling them how disappointing it is to have them modify my review and that we all have the right to make honest reviews. Will see what they come back with
