They don't want to proportionally reimburse PREMIUM services, despite very valid reasons! The CTO even doesn't give a damn about replying emails!

Large Site Should Ignore This Plugin

I have been used this plugin for 3 years, it did generated lots traffics , but when things goes on, bug comes. If your site do not have post, only post name as the url , the plugin will some how ruin the translation if you turn on " auto translate slug" . if you duplicate post from anther post , it will also copy its slug to store. so , it will ruin your site strcuture and the traffics growth will stop. We try hard to reverse , and find no way , their support just tell me it is not their business ~~~ . What is more , if you try to use nginx or make some change to database, it just stop all the auto translation~~. I may not subscribe the plugin any more and turn to my own team to develop some transate kit by GPT.....

We sincerely apologize for any issues you’ve encountered with the recent update. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find your ticket in our system, so I'm unsure of the specific details we discussed. If you encounter any error after the last plugin update regarding slug translation or if the Database update process fails (from TP Setting notification), you may enable the Load legacy SEO Pack Add-On option from TP Settings --> Advanced tab --> Troubleshooting section. This will revert back to the old method of processing slugs to hopefully circumvent the current issue.

Regarding duplicating posts, ​if you have, for example, Page A with slug already translated, and create a copy of it, Page A-Copy, is duplicating also the translation of the slug. When you will switch the language will be displayed the Page A translations. In this case, you can just change the translation for the Page A-Copy slug and the redirection will work properly.

That happens when our system detects another slug with the same string (translated slug or original one) and adds the extension number in order to make it different. Basically, you are not allowed to have slug translations the same as other slug translations or the same as other original slugs.

This is a mechanism to ensure that slug translations do not match other translated or original slugs. We do this so that redirections work properly when the language is changed on a particular URL. If we allowed identical slugs, it could lead to confusion with other translated URLs.However, you can manually rectify this situation.

If you go into your database and look in the _trp_slug_originals (assuming you have the latest versions of our plugin), you'll find that our plugin has saved the detected slugs in the default language. You should search here for the slug string that you're trying to translate, plus the translation you want to add. If these exist, delete them. Similarly, in _trp_slug_translations, you will find the translated slugs. You should search here too for the same string and for the translation you want to add. If you see multiple slugs similar to the one you mentioned (like "example", "example-2", "example-3"', etc.), you should delete them.

Once you finish with that, go to the String Translation Interface and now you should be able to translate the slug you indicated with the desired string and the translation should not be added with any increment number.

*Be sure you keep the Automatic Translation disabled while making those adjustments.

This is a workaround until our dev implements a more straightforward solution for editing those duplicate slugs.

I understand the inconvenience this may cause you, especially with the implications on your SEO and website navigation performance. We assure you that we're on top of the situation and are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

TranslatePress: Expensive and Ineffective – A Complete SEO Nightmare!

TranslatePress: More Expensive, Less Effective – A Total SEO Disaster!

I don’t often leave reviews, but this one is crucial. For months, I’ve been battling with an incompetent customer service team that never admits fault and drops you if you insist they fix the damage their plugin causes. TranslatePress is a total nightmare for SEO.

Since their recent updates, URLs constantly change. Now, I’m dealing with thousands of 404 errors and redirects in the Search Console, completely wrecking my SEO. Instead of offering help, they simply refunded me and advised switching to another plugin, completely ignoring the hundreds of hours spent fixing errors, setting up 301 redirects, and trying to recover my rankings.

Today, October 9th, I installed their latest update, and none of the categories are working. As expected, there’s no help. My site is now in maintenance mode, and this could happen to you too.

The worst part? After all the effort, it’s impossible to export my translations in 4 languages. Starting over with another plugin would be a nightmare. And their response to my complaints? "Not everything is supposed to work, it's too complicated." You’re paying €200 to chase a customer service team that never accepts blame. If your SEO is destroyed, well, it’s just because TranslatePress isn’t for you.

Where most companies adapt to their clients, with TranslatePress, it’s the opposite. Expect responses at least 4 days after each request, and when they realize they can’t fix your problems, you’ll hear nothing more.

The positive reviews for this plugin must be fake considering its poor quality. I urge you to check your own Search Console to see if you have similar URL issues. In the meta alternate declarations, for example, the URLs are misconfigured, showing the language extension (es, de, en) but not translating the actual URL. And that’s just one of many problems.

You pay €200, and if you want to use their translation system, you’ll need to spend another €40 for extra word limits, only to watch your site sink in Google rankings.

Buying this plugin was a monumental mistake.

User friendly Plug

It is easy to translate the site than other Translator plugin in wp.

Everything is all fine but there some speed issue with the plug.

Great plugin with excellent customer service

TranslatePress is a fantastic plugin. Very easy to set. I am impressed how clear it is for a user. I connected it with Google translate and use it within the 500000 digits per month. The translations are stored once done.
As it turned out, recently: They have outstanding customer service. I reached out to them with a conflict and received crystal clear instructions on how to resolve it. It is so nice to still have a human being respond and clearly answer. It is so rare these days, and TranslatePress provides it.

If you want to translate your website, I highly can recommend it as a solution.

Functional plugin with occasional issues but their support and responsiveness makes up for it

Update: TranslatePress's team reached out to me when I reported the issues, offering a reliable fix while taking responsibility for the troubles. Their whole attitude has been very professional, and they have earned back my trust. I will continue using them as I have for the last four years. They have also promised that such events will not occur again.

Previous issue:
Last week's update broke the URL slugs of many posts by replacing them with a number suffix and removing the old versions. an issue that caused multiple 404s. I took me a week to realize what happened when Google Search console has reported the new errors.

Premium support is non existent

Premium support is non existent. The plugin broke following an update from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2 the update 1.4.2 failed and broke TranslatePress. They have done nothing to fix this or even tell their premium members about it. The only mention is on WordPress.org answering people why their website has broken. Over 600 pages broken by the update (which now show as no page exists) and on day 11 of it been broken with no fix. Appalling.

Premium support = No vidéocall support for urgency

I work for a large website that uses Translatepress, yesterday support broke the site and broke the site again this morning, we ask for a call to fix the problem with screen sharing and we're told no it's just via ticket, so we find ourselves waiting several minutes (see +10 minute) between each email, thousands of users arrive on 504 errors. We're paying for premium support that doesn't authorize and won't solve the problem during a call... What's the point of paying for a premium service?

Please do something to fix our site.
