UK offboarding
As an investor of 7 years, I'm still appalled at how the offboarding of UK customers is being handled. You could have deactivated new investments, waited a year for current investments to finish, then sent customers their money (and given those willing the option to transfer to EUR investments).
Instead, you chose to:
- Give 8 days' notice about the changes, when monies are usually locked in for a year
- Only allow EUR payments in the "free option"
- Not be open about the exchange rate
- Require customer service assistance to link the account
- Introduce an inactivity fee, so investors can't even wait for their investments to finish to swallow the GBP withdrawal fee only once

Locked out of the fix TWINO themselves require, facing a €35 fee I can't avoid
TWINO announced it's discontinuing GBP services from 9 July 2026, and told UK customers that to keep investing (or avoid a €35 withdrawal fee) we need to link a new EU/EEA SEPA bank account. I have a EUR account with Wise (Belgium) and tried to do exactly that.
When I attempted the required verification deposit, I got this message: "Your account status prevents adding funds. We are no longer accepting new deposits from investors with a UK residence address." In other words, TWINO's own restriction on UK residents blocks the exact process TWINO says UK residents must complete to avoid the fee.
I raised this with support. Their response confirmed my account "will not be able to add funds or make new investments," but did not explain how a UK resident is actually meant to add a new EU bank account, or whether the fee will be waived given the block is on their side, not mine. Investments and repayments are apparently unaffected, which is something, but the core contradiction remains unresolved as of writing.
I'll update this review if TWINO fixes the process or resolves the fee issue fairly.

There is no need to worry. Although UK residents are currently not able to add funds or make new investments through the standard deposit flow from their existing accounts, you can still associate your EU/EEA SEPA bank account with your existing GBP TWINO account.
To complete this process, you will need to make a manual bank transfer from your Wise EUR account. Once we receive the transfer, we will be able to verify and link the EU/EEA SEPA bank account to your TWINO account on our side.
We will send you the required bank details separately, so you can make the transfer for bank account verification purposes.
Once the EU/EEA SEPA bank account is successfully linked, you will be able to use it for withdrawals and avoid the €35 withdrawal fee applicable to bank accounts outside the EU/EEA.
We apologize again for the confusion and appreciate your patience while we assist you with this process.

Another platform I thought was decent, but which ultimately disappointed me.
There’s no provision for repurchasing expired securities. I won’t go into further detail: there’s a very clear explanation below my comment. Avoid investing here—it’s unreliable.
I’m still waiting to see what they’ll do with the Vietnamese securities, but there’s no word. Terrible management.
There’s no point in deleting reviews; they serve to protect users.

TWINO is a scam
TWINO is a scam. They have made sure, I don’t login to the platform and don’t open their emails. They made sure I am a “sleeper”. This is what users like me are called. Then they sent me an email (I hopefully won’t receive or open) announcing that from next month on they will charge me for inactivity. They will charge 10€ each month for not using the platform.
If you receive an email like this or have any other issues with this platform, contact your local financial authorities.
I’m based in Germany, so I will contact BaFin and the Verbraucherzentrale for awareness and an official complaint.
As TWINO is regulated in Latvia by Latvijas Banka, it is also important to contact them.

Incompetence and impotence
So I bought a lot of Vietnamese investments in the secondary market. They were all marked (and still are!) as active. Even though the Vietnamese company is dead and insolvent. No information can be found on the website. Their communication with investors is through emails that you may or may not even receive. But who cares?They don't. Don't recommend using Twino to anyone. Everything they touch turns to shit.

First, regarding Russian loans — we provided a solution to all affected investors. Emails were sent individually to each client, with the first communication issued on January 27, 2026, followed by several reminders. In addition, notifications were displayed as banners within clients’ profiles to ensure the information was clearly visible.
Second, concerning the inactivity fee — it is important to clarify how it works. If your portfolio consists of delayed loan securities and you do not hold an uninvested available balance, no inactivity fee is applied. The fee is only charged when funds remain uninvested in your account for more than six months. However, clients can withdraw their funds at any time. In simple terms, you always have the option to either invest or withdraw your available balance to avoid the inactivity fee.
Regarding account security, we apply standard password requirements along with an optional two-factor authentication (2FA) feature to provide an additional layer of protection. If you experience any difficulties, our client support team is always happy to assist at info@twino.eu.

Its purpose is to encourage clients to use TWINO as an active investment platform, rather than a place to store unused funds. Even inactive accounts require ongoing operational maintenance, regulatory oversight, and reporting, which generate costs on our side.
Additionally, all investors are notified several times in advance before the inactivity fee is applied. This gives every client plenty of time to withdraw or reinvest their unused funds if they prefer not to keep them on the platform.

Inaktivitätsgebühr frisst Guthaben
Ich konnte bisher nichts Negatives sagen, war aber auch bereits seit 2024 dabei, mein Portfolio bei Twino zu entsparen. Da die Investitionen nur kleckerweise in kleinen Beträgen zurückflossen, habe ich mich natürlich nicht jeden Monat eingeloggt, um mir 1-2 € auszahlen zu lassen.
Als ich mir nun dieses Wochenende mal wieder meine gesamten Auszahlungen überweisen lassen wollte, musste ich feststellen, dass mir von meinem über Monate angesammelten Guthaben von ca. 15 € eine Inaktivitätsgebühr von 10 € abgezogen worden war (die Gebühr wird seit Neuestem und monatlich erhoben).
Angeblich war man darüber per E-Mail informiert worden, ich habe aber keine erhalten. Vielleicht ist sie auch im Spam gelandet, was aber zumindest komisch wäre, weil andere Mails von Twino ja auch ankamen. Nachprüfen kann ich es nicht mehr, Spam wird bei mir nach 2 Wochen gelöscht.
Was aber bei mir angekommen ist: Wer die Plattform verlassen will, wird dafür bestraft. "Twino wird von der Bank von Lettland lizenziert und beaufsichtigt" ist nichts als eine leere Floskel. Eine Bank hätte meine Zustimmung zu der Gebühr einholen müssen, Twino musste das offenbar nicht.
Der Support hat übrigens so reagiert: "Diese Situation wäre nicht eingetreten, wenn die freien Mittel weniger als 15 % des gesamten Kontowerts betragen hätten oder in den letzten sechs Monaten aktive Investitionen erfolgt wären."
War ich mir vorher noch nicht sicher, würde ich nun definitiv nicht wieder bei Twino investieren.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass dies ein übliches Verfahren ist, das auch von vielen anderen Plattformen angewendet wird. Einige Anleger lassen Gelder über längere Zeiträume auf ihren Konten, ohne neue Investitionen zu tätigen. Dennoch erfordern diese Konten weiterhin laufende operative Unterstützung sowie regulatorische und berichtsbezogene Aufsicht. Aus diesem Grund wurde die Inaktivitätsgebühr eingeführt.
Zusätzlich haben wir unsere Kunden mehrfach im Voraus darüber informiert, dass diese Gebühr eingeführt wird, sodass alle die Möglichkeit hatten, ihre Gelder abzuheben, falls sie von der Gebühr betroffen waren.
