Absolutely horrible product and refund policy is a SHAM! DO NOT ORDER FROM this cheap-China Company. Hat did not even closely resemble what was online, box was bent/hat was out of shape. Most they would refund is 40% or pay $20 to return and wait on someone to inspect even though I had sent pics of it. Every comment you see on these reviews is TRUE!!!

I'd like tò give less than 1 star because this Company Is a SCAM. They sell plastic hats saying that they are made of felt. They never answer email and they are based in CHINA, not USA.

Would not even give 1 star if that was possible. Rubbish quality and rubbish customer service 😡

Horrible experience. The product I received was nowhere near the pictures displayed and the return policy makes the process even worse. I would suggest you do not ever patronize this company. Once someone responded to me the best they would offer was 40% of my purchase after it taking 3 plus weeks for me to receive the hats. The only way the customer service representative would consider refunding me my full purchase was to ship the package back to Hong Kong and wait for some nameless person to inspect the product after requesting that I send pictures and video to even start the return process .

What else could go wrong??
Despite everything on the website every stage of the process has gone wrong... I don't know how they get away with it...
1) Delivery 2 weeks late
2) Not shipped in a box so destroyed when arrived
3) Being charged to return the item despite website stating Free Returns.

Avoid at all costs!

I hate so much that I didn't read these reviews before making a purchase. The quality is CHEAP! So disappointing. The hat feels like it's made from craft foam

Complete scam. Ordered the asymmetrical hat. I was charged but no updates at all. Tracking link leads toa dead end. All enquiries went unanswered. I disputed the charge with my CC company and showed them links like Trust pilot and they refunded my money.
Afterwards, I searched the image Ugly Hat uses for the asym hat and discovered it was stolen from an Etsy store.

I bought the asymmetrical top hat, what arrived looked absolutely NOTHING like the ad. It looked more like a mismatched squished cowboy hat. I've sent emails, for days, nothing from customer service yet, not sure how to return and get my money back. This was a total disappointment!!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Hat I bought was packaged in a BAG and was destroyed when I got it, of course. When I sent them pics, they said they'd give me 20 percent off...when I said no, the hat was destroyed because of their packaging they offered 40 percent refund or 100 percent if I returned it at my expense to China and it would probably take 2 months. SCAM. Fortunately Paypal investigated and made good, bless them.

Zwei Zylinderhüte bestellt, die angeblich in USA hergestellt werden und in einem Paket kommen. Beide Hüte kamen in einem Plastiksack. Ein roter Hut war mit weißem Material extrem verschmutzt und ein Fall für den Mülleimer, der zweite war zu groß. Rücknahme wurde nur mit dem Verweis eingeräumt, dass die Rücksendung mit Trackingnummer nach China auf eigene Kosten erfolgen müsse, was alleine die Kosten eines Hutes erreicht hätte, letztlich wurden 40 % rückerstattet. Eine leider leidvolle Erfahrung.

I ordered a hat and a shirt. The hat is super big for my head and they sent me what seems to be a child's shirt. I simply ask to return the unworn items for a full refund and this is their response.

You received the shirt in size S. We decide to resend a new package of the shirt in size M to your original address. As for the hat, we cannot resend it. We can only give you a refund. To address this issue, we would like to offer you a 20% refund which is 7.4 USD for the hat. And you can keep the products without returning them.
This isn't what I asked for, a refund is. Now I can not get in contact with anyone. Terrible customer service and product.

I wish I had looked at all these reviews berofe purchasing this genuine piece of s**t, As stated before, it arrived in a plastic package, and looked nothing like the top hat I had ordered. Serves me right, in trusting these buggers. Terrible shape, terrible material. What annoys me is that for just a little more effort, they could make a decent product. please - never buy from "Ugly Hats""

Biggest waste of money I've ever spent
The hat looks nothing like it's supposed to.
Very very disappointed

Like the others - worst and cheapest quality, not send in boxes as said on the web site, but in bags. So the hats are already destroyed at arrival. Sending back for sure on my costs - but will they refund me then? I doubt it due to the lying web site.

Update 11/14/24: The parcel has been at customs since September. Allegedly, customs will not release it. Customer service says they can't take care of our parcel because they have so many returns to process (!) and there is a shortage of staff. We have now received a refund of 140 USD. Total loss: approx. 80 USD including the return. Neither Paypal nor DHL were helpful.
This is nothing but lies from start to finish. The material is miserable, the fit of the hats doesn't even come close to the pictures, they are delivered in a plastic bag from China and arrive dented. Customer service tries to fob you off with a 20% refund. If you don't agree with that, 40% and you get to keep the crap. But if you don't want the crap and instead get the free return as promised, you get a Chinese, very dubious return address and you have to pay for the return yourself. Paypal buyer protection is activated, let's see what happens now.
By the way, they still have a lot of alias websites, e.g. kansasandhatters, geniushatters, rockhatters, etc.

This has no street address, if you try to send it back, it won't arrive. Customers from the other fake companies got their money back from Paypal / credit card companies without returning because those scammers are well known already.
Update 25 September 24: Paypal has paid half of the return costs of 45 EUR to china. The parcel was dispatched on 30.8.24. It has been at the customs office in China since 10 September. It will probably remain there forever, as the company is naturally not interested in collecting it there.

Same story as the other posts here. I ordered a hat, and when it arrived, was waaaay too big, and really poor quality. Barely resembled the photos. The only thing that was right was the color. Requested a refund, got the same song and dance - first offered keep the hat and get 10% refund, then 20%. Cost to send back to China was prohibitive. I took the refund as I figured as I may well. But never, ever do business with this company.

Ordered two “ Small “ hats for my Wife.
The hats were enormous. They even completely covered my ears and eyebrows, and I have a huge head. They arrived in a bag, and they were completely crushed.… Enough that they fit into a mailbox…two hats, in a mailbox. They lie when they say all hats ship in the box. That is a lie. Refunds are impossible. Do not buy for these people.

DO ***NOT*** BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Their refund policy says "5. All the cost caused by the returning shall be borne by the buyer". So basically, they can send you any old rubbish and you have to pay to return it before they will even consider a refund, which itself may end up costing you nearly the original cost of the hat. Or they might offer you something like a 20% refund if you keep it. A total scam and con!!?

Absolutly atrocious! I ordered a nice fancy hat but when it arrived, it was way too big, looked nothing like advertised, cheaply made with cheap materials and they had the audacity to charge a very high price for it. I asked for a refund on the basis that it is not as described and sent them video and photo evidende and to rub salt into the wound they offered me a 20% discount stating it is still usable. I might as wear a colander or a pot on my head! Usable for one thing, flip it and squat over it. Absolute waste of time and money. Terrible quality, wish I read about the reviews sooner.

I ordered two hats for my son for his birthday. One was a black pork pie and a straw fedora. The pork pie is ok. The straw fedora looks and feels like plastic,with a very shallow crown. The two hats with shipping and insurance was close to $89. After sending numerous emails the most they offered was a $14.80 refund. The hats arrived in one box which also bent the brim on the fedora. The cost of the fedora was approximately $44.00. The price to physically return the fedora is $20.00. They will not provide a return shipping label. Please save your money and do not purchase their products.
