UK Energi Reviews 

Overall I've had a great experience with UK Energi, right from making the first enquiry in Nov 24, to selecting them for my Solar and Battery Installation, right through through to it being up and running in February. Come May 25, I'm now generating NET +£50/month on an import/export tariff.

They were very flexible with the design and options to suit me, and also with the installation which was a very neat, unobtrusive and professionally done. Their pricing was also very competitive so worth going with given their great customer service.

In February 2025 we began looking at the possibility of installing solar panels on south facing sections of the main house roof and the integral garage roof.
Our first quotation came from another supplier that was backed up by a lengthy, slick sales pitch. The quotation was more expensive whilst offering a less effective storage battery.
The Sales Lead from UK Energi proved to be a breath of fresh air, being very willing and honest when responding to our questions and very open to discuss variants to the system quoted. He helped us to clarify where certain variants would prove either impractical or have significant cost impacts.

A site inspection by the UK Energi Technical Lead was undertaken in March 2025 which confirmed the most suitable arrangement of the 10 solar panels and the siting of the storage battery and inverter. A shade survey was undertaken which determined that the four panels to be installed on the garage roof would benefit from fitting an optimiser to each panel. Potential cable routes were outlined.
Scaffolding was scheduled for 11th April 2025 and the full installation of the panels, storage battery and inverter and electrical connections was completed and commissioned on 14th April 2025. The whole installation team of panel fitters and electrical technicians did a superb job whilst another UK Energi team member helped us to install the Sigen App on our phones and how to access data on solar power generated and distributed at any instant to the house, battery or grid with data tracking facility over time.

I used UK Energi last October to install solar panels and a battery on my new home. Experience at installation was excellent can’t believe what a new job they did.

I have waited until now, 6 months in, as I couldn’t really assess during the winter months, but I have to say I’m amazed, especially since they installed a second battery I requested.

I was alway sceptical about how much benefit fit the panels would be, but I am now a true believer, absolutely amazed with the 12 panel 2 battery system I have. Would highly recommend U.K. Energy, good service neat install, and the system in working better than I could have hoped.

The team from the start of initial enquiry to the end have been professional throughout. No hard sales (which I experienced from another company). Also the cost was very competitive. The whole process in total just took over a month (which I was impressed). Two teams arrived in the morning, one for the panels and the other for battery and electrics.
Would definitely UK Energi to anyone who is looking to getting Solar

Looked at getting full solar system for a few months and after seven plus quotes and gathering as much information as possible & still feeling sceptical on the information & quoted prices given & being inflated etc , then Ukenergi popped up & they were great in winning my trust with honest , thorough information aswell as a great price which was all down to Harry initially, he was on hand throughout the whole process , thanks again Harry for being a fine genuine guy and great honest salesman. I'm tough to win over from any sales person but Harry did it with ease , lol . No hard selling at all , just honest informative details , friendly down to earth attitude along with a great price.
The whole install was successful, had a couple of minor issues with scaffold being fitted on 2 different days and solar system not being completed on same day but they were quick to resolve & it all worked out well in the end . The whole team that were involved in fitting our 17 panel system were very professional in everyway, they were responsible, respectful, friendly and thorough . Aftercare and advice is also available and there if needed.
I would highly recommend UK energi to all that are looking into getting a solar system installed.

Can't recommend this company enough. From the initial enquiry until the finish of the installation. I had lots of quotes and did research myself so I knew a little about solar. At no point was I fed any bulls••t. The sales team didn't do the hard sell technique and just told me what I needed to know, giving me all the info and more. No criticism of other companies, just honest information. I was invited to wait and make sure it was right for me. Jo was so informative, knowledgeable and I never felt pressured. I liked that.
The day of installation came and Dan and the fitters and electricians were amazing. Everything was done, fitted and connected in a day and a half. Dan helped me with the app and gave me a lesson on how to use it and showed me the most efficient way to use the solar. He even simulated a powercut and not even a flicker of a bulb as we still had power. I cant stop looking at the app now. Watching as the power we use is our own. Since it has been installed, we have been totally off grid. Even giving back to the grid. We have a 3 bed detached house with a 5kw battery and using our own power and selling back. Its a no brained for us.
Uk energi have been a delight to use and nothing has been too much trouble.

I have had a really good experience with UK Energi from start to finish.

Sales team - Harry Hunt. I sought quotes from about 15 different firms in all. I went with the one provided by Harry for several reasons. He was able to explain the basics to a fairly ignorant person on the topic of solar swiftly and clearly. He gave a competitive quote. He did not pressure me. He accommodated at least a dozen follow up calls I made where I asked further questions or wanted tweaks of the plan. He was consistently friendly and helpful and prompt with all of these queries. He gave the initial quote in about 30 minutes or so over the phone. Other companies frustrated me by either insisting on home visits, giving quotes based on a website questionnaire with no person to person communication, or...the worst...making me watch an agonisingly long powerpoint presentation. After 20 or 25 minutes and only half the slides I had to call that one short.

Installation: Scaffolders, electricians, panel installers all friendly polite and professional.

Post sales team: I mainly dealt with Jen and Evan post sales. Both very informative and helpful.

Overall: I have had a Sinenergy invertor, battery, and EV charger installed with some panels at a good price (based on multiple other quotes), by a team who are quick, polite and professional. What more can you ask? I will be passing there details to friends and recommending.

This is not a hasty review rather I took my time understanding / communicating and dealing with UkEnergi throughout the pre-sales & after sales support and then write this review.
It all started back in Jan 2025 when an initial consultation started with Harry Hunt regarding solar potential at my property. He very eloquently & professionally describe the whole process and help with tech selection (based on my energy needs). I then took solar quotes from 3 other companies and finally made my decision in Feb 2025 that I am going with UKEnergi for my solar installation (14 AIKO panels, 5kw Sigenergy Inverter, 8+5 kw sigenergy battery).
Upon confirmation of order, a deposit paid and surveyor sent to my property for inspection of roof. G99 application process initiated at the same time. Installation day set for 01April 2025. It all went very smoothly. guys were very professional and performed their work with utmost professionalism. Nice clean installation was performed with external fusebox attached next to my EV Charger. SigEnergy app installed and shown its working.
Scaffolding took 1 week to go off (but its fine). I need technical help with my installation the very next day for which UKEnergi Technical team was helpful to respond next day with detailed answers. MCS certification application forwarded with schematic diagram.
Overall it was delightful experience and would recommend them to my friends/neighbours who already started inquiring about my installation.

Enquired about solar panels had a surveyor come over and go through all the products with us. Very good customer service from start to finish, had the panels put up very quickly and for a lot cheaper price than other quotes I'd had. On installation the lads all cracked on and were very polite. The only hiccup throughout the experience was that one panel couldn't fit on the roof and they charged me for this in the final payment but I rang them up and they sent out an amended invoice within 10 minutes.

No pushy sales, amazing price and smooth from start to finish. The lads who fitted my system did a great job. Everything looks amazing. The staff at base were lovely to talk to and explained everything. Thanks to you all.

From the first point of contact (with Joe) this has been a positive experience, I was nervous and Joe took the time to talk me through everything, didn't oversell panels, no pushy sales pitch. Thank you UK Energi, you will be recommended by me to all friends and family

UK Energi sent really good team of 4 to install our system. Lewis and Brad worked on the downstairs installation whilst Scott and Carl worked on the roof. End to end 4.5 hours. Full information given to us with a demo of the Syn-Synk application. The team even complimented us with all the preparation work we did in removing all hidden panel for cable routing and installing draw wires, lighting etc to ease their work. A great team.

I had several quotes for solar panels and a battery, eventually we decided on 20 panels (10 on each side) and 10kW battery. Our house is east west facing, so not ideal. Harry Hunt from Uk Energi won our business, he explained the process and enlightened us on the benefits of solar. He was very patient answering my endless questions. From start to finish the process was brilliantly carried out, the scaffolding was erected very quickly on both sides of the house, a tricky job straddling our conservatory. The scaffolders were polite and cheerful in their work. At 8 am on the day of solar 5 Uk Energi vans arrived with a team of fitters in less than 8 hours the job was completed. I cannot praise the guys enough they worked hard and fast. At the end the commissioning was carried out and explained thoroughly to us. Since the installation 10 days ago we have been creating a surplus of electricity enough to power our 4 bedroom house and export back to the grid. I spoke to several solar panel companies to get a range of quotes and Harry was the most helpful and straight talking.
I had a visit from the owner of the company before installation and he returned to see how everything was going during the fitting. The installers were professional, careful and made sure to finish off all work tidily responding to my wishes.
I am delighted with the system as it feels exactly right for my needs and is working well.

Good from the start. Tracy explained everything and carried out the survey while she was with us (saved some time).
All the workforce were polite and friendly, they answered any questions we asked, the main thing for me was they were safe and professional.

I’ve been thinking about going solar for a while now, and reached out to UK Energi in January along with a few others.

I spoke to a few installers who gave me prices over the phone using Google Maps and answered some questions. One of them was my current energy provider, who gave me a price for solar that would only cover half of my annual usage (pointless proposal v cost). In the end, UK Energi had a better price, with more panels.

What really mattered to me was being able to talk to someone, and that’s exactly what happened. I booked a visit from Tracy, who spent way more time than I think she expected answering all my questions. Some of them were because of a recent extension, so I don’t have a typical roof layout.

After the chat, I went ahead and had the system installed on February 18th. Before the install, I also worked with (bugged) Tracy and the team to figure out if I could get more panels installed to make the most of my roof space. In the end, they recommended sticking to our original plan but using optimizers on all the panels. A week before the install, I also bumped up my battery from 5kW to 8kW, which turned out to be a good decision.

Almost a month after having 13 panels and a Sig inverter and battery installed, it was totally worth the investment. I can already see it paying off before the predicted payback. I’m also generating more kWh than I thought I would, so once I set up my export tariff, I’ll be getting a decent payback that’s probably going to help me pay for my battery.

I’ve already recommended UK Energi to a few friends, and I’ll keep doing so.

From the first contact to installion every part went very well. I wanted installion to be as neat as possible so the installers asked how and where I wanted everything before fixing and also advised also. Now all finished very happy with how everything looks and it is also performing.

The experience with UK Energi was great, I cannot fault the salesperson and aftercare. Scaffolding company were totally cowboys and nearly pierced a gas pipe and put uncapped poles against the windows. However my main concern is the exporting and return on the electricity. Had 14 panels installed in October 2024 and switched to Octopus as recommended but since installation my monthly payments have increased by 30%, I have paid £823 in electricity usage to Octopus and received £12.81 in export refunds. I just hope that this is settling in and bad weather issues and that turns around once the sun starts to shine. I know you cannot control the weather but I just wish the amount of time that the electricity costs would start to fall had been explained a little more.

The whole team at UK Energi provided an excellent service starting with Joe who took my initial enquiry and was prepared to conduct the survey that very day as I was taking a long holiday from the day after. Every aspect of my complicated ( as house is long & an unusual shape) System was handled professionally including Scaffolders, Roof Prep, Electricians Dan & Lewis and finally Reece handling install & technical requirements. They all worked with me to achieve a great outcome - Thanks UK Energi.
