Upromise Reviews 

I joined earlier this year and signed up for partner programs and completed surveys worth over $100, to be sent to a 529 account. The week the first deposit was to be sent, they suspended my account with no notice. I inquired to why, they gave a generic "broken Terms and Conditions" reason but would not elaborate before closing the case as "final." UPromise is apparently a scam that is only used to mine information.

Has upromise gone ponzi? Haven't needed to speak to a live person in years, now that I do, the phone number listed only directs one to the internet. Troubleshooting on the website consists of sending emails with a guaranteed response time of ... wait for it ... 3-4 weeks. Resetting my password has a link that claims to send a reset email that sends nothing.

I have an old Upromise account that I have been trying to gain access to. The problem is, I am unsure what email it was under/if I have access to that anymore. I have scoured the website and the internet and there is NO WAY to contact this company. No phone number, no chat, no email address, no form submission. This is a service-based company and this needs to be fixed.

Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against Upromise. Back in 2022, they refused to send a check for accumulated rewards funds, they blocked logins, and changed redemption options mid-stream, by requiring account linkage to redeem funds--and, there's no way I was going to give them access to my bank or 529 accounts. Now, on 5/22/26, they emailed me a request to reactivate my account in order to preserve my $179.99, but the only way to get logged in is to accept their Member Agreement, which requires me to give up too many rights (e.g. a class action waiver). Hmmm...do you think they're anticipating something??

I called the phone number on the back of the card and after fbi questions I spoke 4 times with different agents and none was able to answer what are all possible ways of rewards redeeming and none was able to give an answer usually citing computer problems. When I sent an email it said " we will get back to you in 30 days. I am shocked to go back to in history to the beginning of the previous millennium.

There is no customer service number to call. It's insane. I've been using UPromise for over 20 years to save, and now I need to access the funds and can't even log in. The original email I used all those years ago doesn't work, and there is no customer service number to call for immediate (or any) help. The website says they will get back to you within 30 days. How is this legal? Give me my account information and money.

It's easy to set up an account

I've had a credit card with Barclays you promised for over 20 years and in that time my email has changed and I cannot access my you promised money right now and my kids are in college and Barclays can't seem to help me and you promise doesn't have a phone number and is not responding to any of my emails or messages through their website so basically they are holding my money hostage so I am going to say this is a very bad experience and I'm going to have to figure out a way to report them for holding my money from me because I can't seem to get anyone to help me

I have been using Upromise for a little over a year now. I finally got to $49 and change and I was supposed to be able to withdraw at $50, but as soon as I entered my most recent grocery receipt, my financial goal went up to $100 so now I can’t withdraw at $50. I’ve have to be at $100 before I can withdraw. I’d say the site is a big rip off because, not only that I can’t access my account through my account link, there is absolutely zero way to contact anybody for support through the site. I would stay far away from this place.

I’ve had a Upromise Rewards credit card for over 20yrs. On every bill I see “Total Cash Back Sent To Upromise” but when I log into online it shows $0.00! I’ve tried to contact them…the 1-800-877-6647 they list does not work. The website email does not work. I’ve tried to contact them for a very long time. Somebody Somewhere Is Collecting A Lot Of Folks Rewards!

If I could rate lower I would. They have thousands of dollars from Barclays Upromise Rewards that should have been going to our children's 529 accounts. We can't access our Upromise account and their Help Center will not respond and the email they provide in response to other negative reviews doesn't respond either.

Great place to save money for college and other expenses.

Seems to work well. I need to use it more

I like getting daily emails to alert me to deals and found it very helpful for products i like and use often like coffee. Note: This review was in reference to slickdeals.net Good community that shares tips and experiences. Upromise is very good also:)

Upromise is a well rated app and has been given great ratings and I believe that they are one of the best apps available for these types of security for the future
