Offer was quite good if it ultimately…
Offer was quite good if it ultimately stayed at middle to higher point. Not sure what it would have ended up being as house still up for sale and we are not desparate to sell.
Not entirely convinced about the usp of giving seller a share of any profit on eventual market sale...cant imagine it would be much after selling/legal expenses and any profit they keep.

Our profit share offer has proved popular and we make sure that what you can receive is not diluted with any hidden legal or selling fees.
After we have bought your property, if we then end up reselling it for more than what we said it was worth, we give you the majority of the upside.
So as an illustrative example, if valued your property at £250,000, we would typically buy it from you for £213,000 (a 15% discount). But if then went on to sell it for £270,000 we would give you the majority of the extra £20,000. This means you get a fair deal, not left short changed and you are confident that we are not valuing your property at an artificially low price.

The company does what it says in the tin. It can be argued that the price offered could be a bit higher (15% cut in the price of a house is a lot of money), but it does take the hassle away. Still thinking about it, so we will see

Cant fault the service provided by Alex at Upstix
My buyer pulled out unexpectedly at the last minute, so I contacted Upstix to enquire as too what they would offer against my property in order for the chain to complete. I spoke to a gentleman called Alex who was really helpful and polite and very informative about the process.
Obviously you donot receive full market value but their offer was more favourable than other companies around. And when you factor in no solicitor or estate agent fees on your sale and the fact you can proceed with your purchase it offsets against the loss. It probably isn't for everyone but if you have no debts against the property, just pure equity it's another option to fall back on.

Service at Upstix was faultless
Service at Upstix was faultless - open and honest from start to end. I have a 3 bed period property, with Upstix making an offer of around 17% discount to realsitic market value.
Unfortunately, the sale didn't proceed post survey due to non standard layout (cottage style, bedroom off bedroom etc) but this was at zero cost to me and the entire process from call to offer to survey took less than 2 weeks.
If you are in a position to consider a discount to fair market value for the sake of speed and convenience then I can wholly recommend Upstix.

Way undervalued.
Meh. 3 bed detached house in good area, initial offer £359-409k, yet the estate agent valued it at £475k and we've already had an offer of £450k. It's all very well saying they will pass on any extra above the offer that they manage to sell it for, but a mortgage company won't take that into account so it's a non starter basically. There's also an error with the website, if you try and get a valuation for more than one property, the email confirmation for the second property comes through with the valuation and details of the first property that you submitted.

In your case, the £450k offer you’ve received likely reflects a truer value of your property, and our offer range of £359-409k aligns with that. We’re always upfront about our pricing to ensure there are no surprises.
It’s also worth noting that estate agents often list properties higher than they eventually sell for. In fact, most homes in the UK sell for about 5% below the asking price, so while your estate agent valued the property at £475k, the £450k offer highlights that, the properties value would be closer to that.
