The background check was thorough.
There was support from the company, when some documents were hard to find, when some instructions were vague, or when clarifications were needed!

The most intrusive background check I've had to go through, having to supply 5 years of official letters to prove my nationality allong with 3 pictures of my passport (one including a selfie of me holding it) felt degrading. The inability of Veremark to read any of the submitted documentation and instead just to send me emails asking for the same information over and over made me consider quitting the job before I started. They will also retain all your data with out consent and add it to their Veripass 'job passport', I'm assuming to loose it all in the future when they suffer a data breach.

I'm undergoing a pre-employment background check at the moment and Veremark has been reaching out to previous employers and my educational institution with unprofessional and vague email templates that recipients forwarded to me to confirm whether it was a legitimate request or scam. They send Microsoft Word templates and ask the individuals to fill them in manually which adds to the friction and frustration of the process. My current company's Head of People sent me the following feedback:

"Truly, have never seen a more unprofessional initial reach out for a reference (the format, the font, the lack of information, the tone) it was all very bad."

I also noticed they seem to have quite a few five-star reviews here, all from the same day, all from people with one review in their history.

How organise in collect the information
