My daughter and I attended a roadshow…
My daughter and I attended a roadshow with this company vintage and Collectibles. My daughter had quite a large amount of gold and other items she was offered £900. She then decided to take out a necklace when she told them she had the earrings and they suggested that they would be more valuable as a set.
They then offered her £400 without the necklace.
I believe it was a distraction so that she would accept the £400 rather than the £900. However, common sense would lead you to believe that the necklace must therefore be worth £500.
Wrong!
I took the necklace and the earrings the next day to another roadshow in another town when I was told they were not interested in buying the necklace and that it certainly wasn’t worth £500.
When I wrote to them they said and I quote: the original offer was based on the items presented, when the necklace was removed this resulted in the offer being reduced however this does not necessarily mean the necklace itself was valued at £500”. For me this makes no sense whatsoever and they could not and did not explain what they meant.
I would certainly not ever deal with these people again and I would stressed to anyone to be very careful and not become distracted as they are very clever.

To clarify, the original offer was made for the collection of items presented at Winnersh as a whole. When an item was subsequently removed from that collection, the overall offer was revised accordingly. A change in the total offer does not necessarily represent a standalone valuation of the individual item removed.
We understand that this may not have been clear at the time, and we regret any confusion caused. We take all customer concerns seriously and always aim to provide a fair and professional service.

This was the first Roadshow I have…
This was the first Roadshow I have attended and I would certainly go to another run by Vintage & Collectables. Sam, the expert, was very friendly, helpful and informative and I believe I received a fair price for the items I took along. If you haven't been to a Roadshow before I would recommend visiting Vintage & Collectables.

What an absolute waste of my time and energy, not just me either. I saw lots of people leaving WITH THEIR GOODS because this organisation were offering PEANUTS. My advice given my experience and what I saw, DON'T BOTHER OR ENTERTAIN THEM!

Fantastic experience
OMG! What a lovely day. I arrived early about 11:15 by taxi and the ladies helped bring my numerous items in. I was being picked up around 2:30pm by my bestie and they kept me supplied with coffee.
I was then seen by Samuel (the boss) and he kindly went through my many coins, jewellery (real and immitation). We had a lovely chat about my collection. He then made me an offer I was extremely happy with. No commission. Just the full amount paid in cash then and there.
I would definitly use this company again. It feels more like family.

Efficient and honest
The assessment of my valuables/collectables was efficient and honest. It took away the stress of deciding what to do with trinkets and coins collected over years and hidden in tins and boxes. I would recommend using Vintage & Collectables in future. The price was reasonable and immediately credited to my bank.

Knowledgeable assessor and the event was held in a charming location. Very fair prices for vintage items. I was very happy with the service and had a most enjoyable experience with only a short wait. Just check the website beforehand for what they accept and what they don’t. I highly recommend going to an event!

I have already written a very negative review. Your reply was so generic it was almost laughable.
I have just read some of the other negative reviews. Yes, it was an Irish accented male that pretended he knew about antiques/jewellery with me. Then I got home and an item I wanted to keep, was missing. I had the box but the jewellery was gone.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY STEAL AND RIP YOU OFF.
Totally unprofessional and certainly not real valuers or experts.
