Great install landline service call from Jeremy a Wightman service tech. Jeremy went above and beyond my expectations answered all my questions and helped in every way possible. Friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. One of the best if not THE best service related experience we've had. We are all setup and very happy thanks Jeremy and Wightman keep up this good work.
They will need to win my respect and trust back.
I have been a Wightman customer since February 2024. I was one of the first in my town to sign up, once the cables were in. No issues until roughly July of 2025. I have a landline that became a real problem for several months, that Wightman agrees now, lasted for some time. This was not "resolved" until close to the end of November. And even at that, I am in a wait and see mode. I was the one who asked that the problem be escalated, as no one else was. In hindsight, I would not have spent hundreds on new equipment, thinking I could rule out any issue at my end. The technician, Ryan was fantastic (as reviews by others will support). I went from being a strong Wightman supporter and would be the first to recommend, if asked. No longer. I will say my internet services have never been an issue. Customer support is great, everyone friendly and try to be helpful, but it took my frustration and escalation before anyone really stepped up. However, moving forward I am hopeful they solved my issue (that I still don't know what it was, other than at the "back end") but at least after what I experienced, others won't need to go through. **Update - only 4 months later and I am having the same issue with my landline. This time, they feel it is the fibre optic box. This will now make 3 boxes in 2 years. My level of trust right now is almost at zero. Customer service is ok until you need to escalate a problem, then they get a bit snippy and still cannot seem to reassure the customer that they truly know what the issue is. They dislike reimbursing for services the customer couldn't use. They don't offer emergency technician calls to the home. Maybe reviews about the reality some of us deal with, will get somebody's attention. Their slogan needs to be changed.
