Colourful and engaging stories which captivated my 4 year old granddaughter.

We love Wonderbooks in this family. I have two 5yr old boys who have really enjoyed learning about the lives of other children in different parts of the world. They’re great books, interesting for kids whilst also giving them something to think about and learn. My kids are always excited when a new one comes in the postbox. A great way to support a cause and fun for kids!

Such a great concept and our little girl loves these stories…we have to read them a lot!! Plus, as a parent I’m keen for her to learn about the wider world…Wonderbooks does this in such a fun and engaging way! I’d definitely recommend these to any parent.

Amazing books I read them to my class who absolutely lived them

I highly recommend Wonderbooks. Firstly, it supports a worthwhile cause and means you are donating money to a charity. But not only that, each month you receive a fabulous book. We purchased the subscription for our two year old daughter, and whilst she was too young to understand deeper messages, she enjoyed the stories and colourful illustrations. In years to come, I know she will enjoy reading the stories for deeper meaning.
Each book comes with a handy information leaflet for grown ups which contains facts and supporting information whilst you read the book.
Overall, a highly recommended subscription service.

My granddaughter loves these books and is very engaged by the fact that they are based on true stories. She told me she did not want them to stop coming so I was very perturbed when I found that I could not renew the subscription. I have rejoined her but apparently cannot do so for a full year. Is there a reason why one cannot simply continue subscribing? The books rate 5 stars but the rather odd service is the reason I have marked the experience only 4. I was prompted to sign up as a birthday present but all the communications addressed to the recipient come on my email. My 6 year old grandchild has no email address. There was no birthday greeting to the recipient and then when it was such a success I found I could not continue to buy it for her. It's a pity the after sales service fails to match the quality of the books and the very worth while fundraisiing and awareness campaign behind them.

What an excellent initiative by Save the children! The books are based on true and inspiring stories that teach my daughter the values of generosity and kindness. At the same time, we are helping children in need.

The Wonderbooks series serves to expand our children's worlds while touching on critical topics such as gender equality and climate change in a way that encourages empathy and understanding. Highly recommend!

Bought these for my grand daughter and she loves to read about children from different countries, Very good value for money and the fact that ideas are included for adults to engage in the stories with their child is excellent

These books were brilliant. My kids loved seeing the boxes arriving and couldn't wait to get reading them. It was great seeing them excited to read about people from all over the world and learning different cultures. I would definitely recommend them.

We really enjoyed getting our book in the post each month. A wide variety of stories from all over the world. We have read them all many times and I’m sure we will continue to do so.

My kids (6 and 9) have really enjoyed the wonderbooks and they've been a good talking point, as I try to ensure they know how privileged they are and develop compassion for their global neighbours. However, I home educate the boys and so I was disappointed that the majority of the books had a strong emphasis on school. I got a sense that they were almost pushing schooling propaganda, as if someone from the DfE had been involved! While school can be a great privilege for children in many parts of the world, where for instance there is widespread illiteracy and poverty, I don't believe it is the best way for all children to learn and thrive - particularly in the system in the UK today. So we've had a lot of conversations about for example why schooling equality for girls is to be celebrated, but there's a big difference between giving children the opportunity to learn to read, and the pressures of the national curriculum and why the government might be wrong to push phonics down the throats of 4 year olds and emphasize testing, over play-based and self-directed learning, and delayed academic instruction which are evidenced to actually be best for children's all-round development. I wouldn't recommend the series to home educators, but if your kids are in school, these books could make them more grateful for that?!

fantastic, insightful books - a great resource to teach children about the world and the challenges faced by other children in other locations. Whilst these children have different challenges, it really is a fantastic example of resilience & adaptability to circumstance, that really helped my children understand how they would cope in different situations. The useful guides that accompany the books have brilliant discussion points and exercises to follow - my daughter wants to have a school like Munni's :)

Such a great set of books - beautifully told and illustrated stories for my 3 year old to understand more about the world she lives in.

I cannot recommend these children’s books more highly. In my opinion they are an invaluable addition to the life of a child growing up in the western world where life is so privileged compared to the everyday challenges that other children face. My son is fascinated and humbled that he has a different life but in these stories he can see hear about the lives and countries of others always infused with what is universal, love, friendship and family. I am proud my son is growing up to be a child of the world not a small corner of our extraordinary globe.

Beautifully illustrated stories that are so important for our children to read - my 3 year old and 5 year old really enjoy them and prompts lots questions. It is so important for them to know that children all over the world live differently and experience different things in their childhood.

My daughter is 3.5 years old and she loves these books. She is still young to understand certain things, but is already very interested in listening to the stories again and again.

My grandchildren absolutely loved their first book and read it each night. The quality was excellent with beautiful illustrations. A lot was learned about the life of the child in the book and the work of Save the Children. The children were able to make connections between giving help or money to a charity and what it meant to a child. They love the idea that there will be a book a month coming, and more to find out.

We absolutely love these books. They are written in such a gentle way but each contains a really lovely message that’s relevant to the children they meet today. Would absolutely recommend.
