Having passed my test after 101 days they want me to pay the interest they are loosing from my whole policy and an admin fee of 50 pound so for 101 days I have now got to pay 95 pound do not use them also there black boxes plug into e.c.u so 1mph over will knock you down

Just to clarify, we don't charge interest for the entire policy when a customer cancels before the policy term ends.
I wanted to clarify that we don’t charge interest on the entire policy if a customer decides to cancel before the policy term ends.
We aim to be transparent, and our fees are clearly outlined in our Terms of Business Agreement. The cancellation fee helps us cover the costs of accessing important databases and working with the insurer, as well as providing you with the necessary documentation.
Also, when someone purchases a policy with a provisional driving license, we do require a telematics device once they pass their driving test, and we always make sure to share this information upfront.
Insurance can be expensive for inexperienced drivers and a telematics policy can help keep the costs down for new drivers.

Customer service is very poor, can’t make changes
Cannot make changes over the phone, nobody answers the phones.
I get asked to email over the changes and still 4 days later they have not been completed
Getting very fed up calling up now.

Price is good but I made a mistake with…
Price is good but I made a mistake with the policy start date I changed it within a few hours of starting it from the 16th to yesterday and they charged me £50 I think that’s very unreasonable as the insurance is only £27 a month

Hopeless company with a dysfunctional portal
A-Choice requested I upload our driving license summaries to their secure portal. There was an issue with their portal. When we finally managed to upload the document successfully after trying a number of different devices (spent a couple of hours), they then cancelled our policy a few days later claiming that they had never received these documents. I really would give this company and their portal a miss.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I would never use A Choice Car Insurance again.
When my daughter had learner driver insurance and then passed her driving test, we expected the policy to be upgraded to a full UK licence. Instead, we were told we had to pay for both the learner policy and the new full licence policy at the same time.
I’ve never come across an insurance company that charges you for two policies when you’re simply moving from a learner licence to a full licence. It feels completely unfair and wasn’t made clear when the policy was taken out.
Very disappointing experience, poor customer service, and a company I won’t be recommending.

Thank you for your review. I would like to provide some clarification regarding our provisional licence policy.
This policy is designed for customers who are learning to drive and want to practice in their own vehicles. A key benefit is that there’s no need to cancel the policy upon passing the practical driving test, as the policy can usually be upgraded.
When the customer passes their driving test, an additional premium will be applied to the policy for the remaining term. There are not two separate policies which are live at the same time.
This is similar to when customers upgrade their car or change their address during the policy term, where an additional premium may be applied. This is an added cost to the insurance policy.
We are committed to transparency and we ensure our customers are fully informed about their policies. Your insights are valuable, and I appreciate the opportunity to clarify this matter.

Was on the phone for atleast 40 minutes…
Was on the phone for atleast 40 minutes with no answer aswell as this wasn’t updated on when my insurance was coming out so didn’t have the money in the correct account at the time and went to pay and took me through many voices telling me to press multiple numbers on the key pad when calling after pressing and listening 7 times they then after all that decided to tell me I can’t make the payment
