Fraud. And I do not use that word lightly. I purchased a Limited Edition bass from them. Waited over a week. Finally asked where my bass was, they told me they had sold it three times, and I wasn’t the one who was getting it. I have emails and voicemails.

Bought a Mesa Mark 2c++ from them. There are only 200 of these. Thought I was all set. 3 days later I ask when its expected to ship and they tell me they oversold and it won't. During these 3 days I could've gotten one elsewhere. To this moment if I hadn't contacted them I still wouldn't know. Now supply has evaporated everywhere. Not even a sorry from them. Just atrocious way to do business.

I ordered an acoustic guitar that was out of stock. They sent me an email explaining to me that I could call and cancel the order, or wait and when the guitar comes in, I would be notified. They sent the case right away, and within 2 weeks, I received the guitar. American Musical was great in their communication with me. I liked and took advantage of their no credit check financing. I will order from them in the future.

I've bought several items from American musical 2 drum sets several amps 2 turntables & all the accessories for them. Last purchase was a phono preamp for less than 100 bucks which blows the 400 dollar Mac 1 off the shelf. I don't even look anywhere else for musical instruments anymore. American musical cannot be beat on there prices customer service shipping or anything else. Thank you once again.

False advertisement they canceled my order because they said I need to pay for it in full because my phone number they can’t find it in the system which the phone number is under my name and I had it for 18 months and the credit card that I was using is from a credit union which I’ve been with my bank for 15 years. I don’t recommend no one to shop with them cause the automatic system will cancel you out if you’re gonna buy something on 100 maybe you’ll get lucky but if you’re trying to spend money with them, they’re not good go to Zzound .com they all for the same thing and next day shipping and you don’t have to deal with false advertisement companies like American music supply

I ordered a scratch and dent orange 4x12 cabinet. It arrived in a cardboard box that looked like it had been dragged behind the truck from the warehouse. The cabinet was significantly damaged. There was no packing material except a tiny piece of wadded up brown paper inside the box. When I contacted AMS, I was told they would exchange it, I just needed to ship it back. Which is absurd to think of with a 4x12 cabinet. Here’s how it went from here:

1. Offered pickup and was told ups would bring a box.

2. Then told by UPS they don’t pickup with boxes. Called AMS and was told they made a mistase so they would overnight the new cab and I could use the box to return the 1st. Seems like a good deal. They we’re going to ship the same day but if course that never happened.

3. Called back the next day after no shipping info. Was told it will definitely ship that day and was treated like I was annoying the agent. Once again of course didn’t.

4. Called back again and talked to a supervisor. Was generally helpful but passively accused me of trying to rip AMS off. “They will charge you if you don’t ship the original back you know. Just gotta make sure”. He did finally get the package shipped but no tracking info was given.

5. Contacted again the following day to try and get tracking. Turns out it was “delivered” without FedEx so much as knocking on the door. They simply dropped it in front of the house in an emoticono driveway and it was of course stolen.

So now we wait to see what the hell happens next. Absolutely the worst experience ever trying to buy a piece of gear.

I have purchased from them before but the extreme negligence in this case has turned me off forever. They keep changing stories and seem to have the most incompetent shipping contractors ever. . .ugh

Everything is just great. Good selection and good prices. Anything you will need.

I ordered my guitar strings on thurs.and for 0 shipping cost,they arrive sat.morning,in plenty of time for my gig that night.Easy ordering,and they have great customer service!.

I have bought from American Musical many times, the product has always been top of the line and what i expected. If i ever had any issues all i had to do was call American Musical and the problem was solved. I will continue to purchase from American Musical

I had no connection to this company at all, I never visited their site, didnt look at anything, from the site. Suddenly on 1/1/25 i look and find pending payment to them on my credit card. Will follow through with police but have now canceled my credit card. Scammers and fraudesters.

American Musical authorized and order, shipped it, then intercepted and initiated a return without notification or consent due to “fraud”. Terrible company.

Company claims that I didn't pay for speaker th15a Mackie back in 2013 went ahead and took payment after I purchase a lot of items thru the years from them please be extra careful with this company .

Absolute scam company, the "payment plan" they offer is a scam,it won't be excepted,it's false advertising just to lure you in and the customer service is extremely unprofessional. RUN as far as you can to a reputable musical sales company!avoid the grief and waiting period it's not worth it!!
Update:to the owners, my youtube review of your company and services will explain the process of attempting to use your shady business practices, such as the illegal background checks you perform on your unsuspecting customers.the curtain is about to be drawn back!

I'm perplexed, there are a lot of negative reviews and their score, in my opinion, is not accurate.
AMS is the best company I have ever done business with, no lie. I have been a loyal customer of theirs for the last several years. I have never had a problem with the equipment, the customer service or the shipping. Their return policies are not stringent and did I mention customer service? I won't go into details but i live in area just recently ravaged by 2 hurricanes and AMS has been wonderful helping me get thru some trying times. Thank you AMS! You will always have my business.

No Good Customer Service . They changed overnight there log in policy . Theres no way around login . Customer service see's your number will hang up because my complaints . Paid Customer . Why ?

They acted like I was approved for 0% 18 month financing and that my brand new Les Paul Standard would be shipped at 8:30 am and by 4:20 pm I got an email saying I was declined and I've got good credit so much so that GM financial allowed me to buy a new 2024 Colorado but these people bait and switched me acted like I was approved then dropped me and said I wasn't.
Will never ever purchase from them now.
I will go to Sweetwater or Zzounds for my new Gibson!
