I hate to be the one hater, but...

I bought an Arturia BeatStep Pro by mail, from a shop in Leeds. No problem. It arrived safe and sound, and i powered it up just to give it a quick check. But i didn't have the time or energy to really go in to much depth with it's functionality at that exact moment. So it went back in the box while i had an illness for nearly a year and couldn't really do anything.

After that time, i eventually got back in my studio and started playing again, looking forward to really using the Beatstep Pro both with my iMac, and with my hardware rig, as my old sequencer of choice had gotten damaged in a house move.

But this is where things go sideways. The BeatStep seemed locked into one function, so 90% of it's advertised features are unusable. It also won't save anything, which pretty much reduces it to nothing more than a toy (albeit a solidly built one).

Now the problem is this, after such a long time, i can't really return it to the shop can i? So i get online and look for help and tips.

It turns out that this is one of those issues that's quite common, but you just wouldn't think to look up if it wasn't actually happening to you. Time after time i found people online saying the same thing has happened to them. And Arturias only "help" (both to me and those other people) is telling us to do a factory reset and update the firmware. Well, we've all tried that. I did it 30 or 40 times! And still the BeatStep SUCKS. And Arturias "help" just sends us all in circles, and regurgitates the same advice over and over.

I even tried to publicly shame Arturia for this behavior in the comments on their YouTube channel, AND THEY JUST DID IT THERE AGAIN, EXCEPT IN FULL VIEW OF THE WORLD THIS TIME. Just sending us to the same place, that tells us the same thing, that i just told them keeps happening to us all!

I really am tired of writing negative reviews, but this is a £200 paperweight. And if i can let anyone know that there's some problem, and zero help, then i have to.

Hands down best in biz

Hands down best in biz. for customer support, loyalty rewarding free upgrades and discounts, super reasonable prices AND cutting edge innovation in software, hardware and controllers. I couldn't love this company more. I can hardly wait to see what Arturia does next

Great customer service

I bought a MiniBrute about 7 years ago and the sides, knobs and sliders developed the "sticky problem".
I contacted Customer Service and have had free replacements sent out.
They've also been great with any software issues I've had too.
Great team.

Insanely great support!

Insane support, so good! I was expecting a hefty bill after my microfreak died a month after I purchased it (SECONDHAND!!!) was sent a new main board (FREE OF CHARGE!!!) which turned up 2 days (international shipping) after we confirmed the issue. Was a simple hotswap, no problems at all. The support staff are fantastic. What a way to run a company. I love these guys and gals! 10 out of 5!

Great Company

I own an Arturia Polybrute and Matrixbrute among other synths. Excellent forward thinking synths that sound great. I recently contacted customer service after one of the knobs on my Polybrute has been damaged and they have sent me some for free, excellent customer service.

My drum machine broke down, so I directly contacted the official website through email. My reply was particularly rapid and my attitude was very good. This was more convenient than contacting our local dealer, because the general agent in China asked me to return to the factory for 2-3 months for maintenance. The after-sales service on the official website gave me an effective solution the next day. Extremely good, I am particularly satisfied.

我的鼓机坏了,直接邮箱联系官网,给我的回复特别迅速,而且态度很好,这比我联系我们本地的经销商还要方便,因为中国的总代理让我返厂2-3个月维修。而官网的售后在第二天就给了我有效的解决方案。特别好,我特别满意。

Just wanted say Thank you so much Arturia team for your great support and commitment to customer services. Last week I informed them about a minor problem in my Drumbrute. They offered me a new Analog board and after my confirmation I received the new one only in 3 days! Once again thank you!

Good products, horrible customer support/payment system

I bought the VCollection 9 by choosing the 4-term payment method. I am currently trying to pay for my 2nd payment, but there seems to be a problem - I have the money on the account, but the payment won't go through. It did go through the first time. When I asked if I could pay some other way, they told me that nope, make sure that there is money on your account on the 20th of July and if that fails again, they'll try to charge me for the 4th time, and after that, they will cancel my plan. That would make me lose that money I already paid a month ago, and as you know, VCollection isn't the cheapest product. They should learn from the Splice - if the payment fails for some reason, you can always initiate the payment from your side, manually.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service when my Arturia Drumbrute required minor repair after many years of use, due to a known issue with the early model noise generator. The RMA process was easy and fast, completed in just 1 week including shipping from the UK to France and back. The hardware itself is also excellent quality, very happy to recommend Arturia.

I had some issue with the knobs on my Microfreak synth. The support team immediately asked for my address to send me back new ones, no question asked. Team is kind and polite. I know some companies that should learn from them…

Lovely Gesture

Bought a KeyLab Mk II and the guy I bought it from had lost the magnetic overlays. I needed the one for Logic Pro and Arturia have just sent one free of charge!
