Second (MTB) bike from Balfe's in as many Months
Second (MTB) bike from Balfe's in as many months. This time through a CTW scheme. I'll be honest it's not the closest by far - a 40min drive when there are closer stores but the a few months ago they had the right bike at the right bike at the right price and even though this time the Specialized could be got anywhere I'm the kind of guy when someone looks after me and I know I can rely on them I'll go back there. Great Comms, coached me through the CTW scheme, very patient with the uncontrollables on this. Highly recommended, thanks again! I'll be back.

Impressive customer service
Very friendly and eager to assist. Didn't talk down to me despite knowing 10 times as much about bikes as I do. Shop is a bit out of my way but I'll return for the quality of the service.

Madison water proof socks
Madison water proof socks - absolutely superb ; previous used Seal skins also superb however the Madison socks seem more ‘ cycle oriented.. thinish - perfect weight around the foot - so not to pack out standard cycling shoes ( Shimano MTB / road ) & they were immense in my old MW80 WProof boots a few weeks ago when it was pretty chilly & wet but equally superb in my ME5 when it not been so cold 👌.. yer - excellent, really impressed & great value …👌

Comprehensive service but lost a mudguard
I took my 2 year old Hybrid in to be repaired as the bottom bracket needed replacing. I was told that whole chain set including cranks and 2 new tyres needed to replaced as there was wear.
I was surprised since I had cleaned and oiled the chain several times over the 2 years but I agreed to a cost of over £450.
When I collected the bike it was fine but the rear mudguard was missing. I was told they would search for it and call me back but this has yet to happen.
