It was my husbands birthday and we booked a table at b+b in Bath, the staff were really helpful and made our experience extra special as we received a complimentary glass of Prosecco! Our waitress Mila was very informative and friendly, she suggested a great red wine called Apothic which went brilliantly with our steak. We had a great time and we’ll definitely be going back.

Nice Steak. Good value for money. Being that I am a fatsie and of very high class I am used to first class service. But occasionally the family and I will venture out in search of common folk establishments such as this. As I waked into this place my son immediately pointed out to me that he wanted a steak, luckily the steak was on sale that day. Very nice food with adequate service. But as say, its no Harvester. Then again what is.

We never in our lives have had such a bad restuarant service. The service was absolutely atrocious, actually none existent! We booked a table for two for 19h45 and on arrival were eventually seated by 20h00. Which was rather surprising as they did not seem overly busy. We ordered our drinks which we only recieved at about 20h20, so straight away placed our dinner order which was rather simple, two steaks and salad with no sauces. Then ....... the wait began! By 21h00, with our bottle of red wine we ordered to pair with the steaks being half finished, we asked the duty manager when we would be getting our meal. All she could do was say sorry and she didn't know, and that lots were complaining about the service. By 22h20, with no sign of our steaks even being put on the grill, we decided to leave. By this time the restaurant was fairly empty! Really who wants to eat a huge steak at nearly 23h00. So what was supposed to be a romantic Friday evening out for a steak after our game of squash at our club, was not to be! We could not believe it, how this could happen at a restaurant that advertises on its website booking that our table booking is limited from 19h45 to 21h45, and if we were a group celebrating we needed to request a longer time from the duty manager. Well we went well over that time period without recieving our meal order Really unacceptable!

As a regular customer at Bar + Block Wimbledon tonight was excellent as usual. We were served by the attentive Siobhan who gave us great service and ensured we were happy throughout the meal. Other members of staff also asked if we were ok as they were passing - top marks to Bar + Block.

A party of 9 in a fairly empty restaurant ought to have been a good experience for us. The room was fine, the poor waiter tried hard but the food was very much below par and the time it took to be delivered to the table, given the restaurant was quiet was totally unacceptable. The manager had taken our orders but completely missed one main course order. Of the 9 main courses 6 plates were returned with large amounts of food on them either because the food was cold or was poorly cooked. Of the 9 members of the party 3 were trained chefs and 3 had run restaurants so we were not unmindful of how things ought to have been. In the end the management did not charge for any desserts or one of the main courses. We had all eaten there before but won’t eat there again.

I had a night out in Nottingham beginning of June 2019 with 4 other lads. We went into this restaurant as is was next to the hotel we were all staying in (Premier Inn Chapel Bar) when we all met up as we were hungry and had all traveled 3+ hours each to meet up. Food quality was above average, wasn't bad but could have been slightly improved. On the plate, appearance was spot on/looked appetizing. Credit to the chef for this - she made all the meals to standard and prepared what everyone asked for.
The waitress was amazing as well, she was friendly, open and kind. Was always up for joining in the chatter when asked if we had any questions. She brought the overall experience up and made it a better experience for myself and the lads.
The chef was Charlotte and if my memory is up to speed, I believe the waitress was called Bex - I apologies if I've got your name wrong. She was on shift on the 4th June and we were served by her between 2pm and we left around 3:30pm. To the reader, if you are a manager of this store/restaurant (Nottingham), if you are willing to dig the rota out for that day and time. She will know who we were - group of 5 lads, all ordered different burgers. Please give the 2 above mentioned staff members some praise as they both well deserved it.

Have visited both the King's Cross and Aldgate restaurants several times now for dinner, and once for breakfast (KX), and the food, wine and service have all been excellent. Great prices for really nice steaks as well!
