in my experience the people here are…

in my experience the people here are helpful and take the time to answer/research any problems or questions. Once in a while there is a mis-hearing or communication glitch, and they've always been quick to right any errors which have resulted, issue refunds, etc. I've ordered from them for several years and am always happy with the products. Returns/refunds are smooth.

Horrible customer service!!!
Shipped my package to a different address and refused to fix the matter I’m not even sure how the payment went thru since the zip didn’t match my billing address no refund also wanted me to resend the package back which was impossible since again I do not live there will never order again

Literally just other brands bras. They don’t make anything. Still had the tags on for Wausau etc. Awful. Straight to return. Waste of money.

Refund Never Given

I ordered 4 bras from the company. The arrived timely and we fine but 1 didn't fit. So I returned it (had to pay $7 to return it). They received my return on June 30 and never sent me a refund. They claim they gave me a refund on June 25 which is funny because the email says they received my item on June 30. But they never gave my money back. They told me to check my credit card statements. Which is funny because how do I look for a refund I never received?

bra fit specialists superb!

The bra fit specialist was superbly helpful and the overwhelming reason for my continuing to purchase bras at barenecessities. Their fit specialists are knowledgeable and remarkably helpful, and I was offered to be connected with the same one when I called back for further fit help adjustments. The website had changed recently and it’s quite problematic to find or re-order anything, with free returns no longer offered, even for frequent buyers, so that I had just about given up continuing to buy anything there.

Not enough support but found a solution

Wish I could attach a photo of what I purchased. I've been surching for months for something that actually fit. I purchased a 2 piece bathing suit. 32g fit perfect but unfortunately not enough support. Solution bought waterproof braswim cups from Amazon and sewed them in place. Perfection. The bottoms was midrise and was perfect also. Hit just below the belly button. Couldn't be happier. If I didn't have to add my own cups for support it would have been a 5 star.

Great Bras, Bad Company

I emailed about updating my account information. I don't appreciate the fact that we have to contact the company to update our own information. None of this would have happened if we were able to update our info on the site. I sent the email providing the info that was on my account so they can find it and change my email and phone number. Unfortunately, the person who responded had no idea how to do their job. Every email exchange I gave her information about my profile to help her find it and every response contained her claiming she couldn't and asking for more information. In an effort to control my blood pressure, I decided to call customer service. The women who answered the phone found my account based on the old email address in 2 minutes. The lady from the email needs to be fired because I know she could have found my account using my old email address. This experience was completely preventable and here's the kicker....no one ever responded to my email until today and tells me I was talking to an automated email. I'm so effing furious all I can do is laugh. Horrible doesn't begin to describe an company that is dishonest about communications. The most an automated response is good for is redirecting you or informing you that a real person is coming. There was no indication that I was talking to a robot because humans can be just as useless. Well we're in this syfy movie now, but I will never be shopping with this company of bots ever again. And yes, I do still believe the bot should be fired!

I did not receive one of my shipments…

I did not receive one of my shipments from them, although it showed as delivered. I realized this later, and they said they would "escalate" the issue, and then told me they couldn't do anything and stopped responding (even though FedEx indicates that they could still help file a claim). This was for over $200 in merchandise. Really disappointing and my money will be spent elsewhere.

Edited to add: The company has responded below saying they wish they could do more, but they can and are deciding not to. As mentioned FedEx recommends that they file a claim - it is still within the time period where they can do so. Yet for some reason (a desire to wash their hands of this?) they are not willing to take the time to do this. Again, disappointing customer service. There are other businesses to support.

Had you contacted us at the time of delivery, we would have been able to assist you. However, as you did not contact us until June 18, 2025, we are unable to provide you with any assistance in locating your package. I understand that this is disappointing. I wish we could do more.

Justina is AMAZING

Justina is AMAZING! I have been ordering from bare necessities for years now.. she really helped me navigate my sizes between brands and styles when it wasn't straight forward.. she also advised when it would be best to try 2 sizes for perfect comfort and fit! Well versed in all brands and knew when to deviate from my normal size. It was a dream working with Justina - efficient and knowledgeable!

DO NOT BIUY especially if you’re wanting for a holiday . i ordered 2 day shipping 6th june still waiting with no order update. email address doesn’t work ( bounced) . $140 dollars and nothing plus $25 for urgent express delivery.

My first try

My first try, I only received a partial shipment of my order, when I contacted bare necessities they didn’t make it right, although what I ordered had sold out they did send a replacement that I like even more thank you for backing up your products and standing behind your company. I will be ordering again.!

AI customer service

I placed an order for an item in a brand that I already own. I paid extra for expedited shipping. It did not fit. I put a review online and customer service responded with an automated AI response that was irrelevant and dismissive of my concerns. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn’t one available. Waited 2 hours and no response. I placed a new order for 2 day shipping to receive Saturday - it will not arrive until Tuesday. Almost 1 week after my original delivery. $171 out of my pocket and I can wait until it’s delivered and return it. They have my money and did not deliver my order on time.

I have was told by one of your representatives I would receive it Saturday- not a misunderstanding

I understand that you are upset by the shipping timeframes. Please note that FedEx 2 Day shipping is governed by business days. Your first order was placed on a Saturday. It shipped out on Monday and was delivered on Wednesday, which is 2 business days later.

I have reviewed your history and I do see that you did speak to a representative that placed a new order with courtesy FedEx 2 Day shipping. That order shipped on Thursday. 2 business days from Thursday would typically mean a Monday delivery....however Monday is a holiday (Memorial Day), so the next business day is Tuesday. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Deceptive and dishonest

They send adds with a low price, but when you click on item the price is 5 or 6 times higher. Garbage site.

Horrible bra

Horrible bra, completely wrong fit, no customer service (I've been on the chat waiting for 10 minutes and nothing). They have no way to exchange. Also they say they have free returns and they don't.

I also reviewed your chat session. Your message was received at 3:31PM ET and our live agent replied at 3:34PM ET. If you were waiting prior to that, please contact us so that we can investigate the delay. There may be an internal issue we are unaware of!

I apologize for any miscommunication. Our website does state in multiple FAQ's that there is a $6.95 fee for the use of our return label. If you are seeing any page on our website that notes free returns, please let us know where you are seeing this as it does need to be corrected.

Stepped up with customer support

After months of not getting a refund on an order I did I posted a negative review here. I heard from Brandi the same day and a credit was made to my credit card.

Past the 48 hours

I placed an order on a Friday, since we were going on vacation in one week I needed the bra asap. So I paid extra for 2 day shipping. Come Wednesday I hadn’t gotten a confirmation email, nor any tracking details so I decided to call because that would make it a whole 3 business days with no word even though the money had come out of my account. She informed me that the package should be delivered Thursday due to the fact that at the time I ordered it on Friday the order wasn’t processed until Monday morning. Which I get and that is understandable but Thursday would be 72 hours after the order was placed and I paid extra for 2 day delivery. It’s in the name…. 2 day delivery. Meaning it should take 48 hours to be delivered not 72. Ik it sounds ridiculous but why should I pay extra if it’s not even going to be delivered in the timeframe I ordered it.
