I have been very happy with the service that I have received since Charters took over the tenancy management.

As a renter it is nice to see the care taken by the agents over their communication and response to any issues I have.

I would like to call out Lucie MacDonald especially as she has been great. Always quick to reply, courteous, respectful and genuinely shows concern and interest in any issues that arise. She is a pleasure to deal with and I have never had to chase to find out what is happening. Thanks Lucie

The agent gave great support throughout the whole tenancy process. As a new tenant in the UK, I had many questions about the contract, deposit and payment. All queries were answered promptly and clearly. The agent helped make the move-in procedure smooth and stress-free. Friendly and professional service. Maya has provided a very professional service from the start to finish with excellent communication, knowledge, and very organised .

Overall my experience with charters has not been great since the day I collected the keys, which the clerk was pretty late resulting in a lengthy wait. the office could not get my tenancy signed in time. Lots of missed communication within the office’s in Southampton mainly on the property maintenance side. Repairs on the property have been left for eight months resulting in the termination of my tenancy. Conveniently the repairs are being down now I am out of the property despite waiting for it. The response is that they are waiting for the landlord to instruct them to do the work which I don’t believe take that however you’d like too.

There has been one person who has been absolutely amazing and helped me through these cracks despite it not being her problem and that’s Lilly who I believe is based in the bishops Waltham branch!

Millie Shrimpton has been extremely helpful and professional throughout the process of renting out my apartment. She has made everything straightforward and hassle-free with excellent communication and quick responses whenever needed. I would happily recommend her services to other landlords.

Just thought I’d put a comment on here to say how disappointed I am in the service, I’ve not heard from my contact for a while now after him saying he would call me. Cameron has not been too helpful and when I did manage to get him on the phone I felt very rushed like I was bothering him. Maybe it’s because I am not going for the most expensive house I don’t know but not very happy at all. Also calling me Ben instead of Benjamin at times without permission as I hate that was not the best feeling too.

Recently I went through a change of tenancy process, where the tenant in my property checked out and the new tenant moved in. We needed to redecorate the flat in between the time and we had only quite a short time to do this. Millie Shrimpton, the property manager looking after my property in Southampton, handled the process efficiently, making sure the property is ready on time for the new tenant. Thank you, Millie. Very happy with the service.

Kate A at Charters Preston Park was marvellous. She gave me great confidence throughout the process and was so can-do. This was important to me as I have had bad experiences with estate agents before but she was brilliant. Ollie L from the lettings department was also great, providing support to me and gaining information whe asked promptly and professionally

Charters were great during the search, but what really stood out was the tenacity and patience shown by Jo (Charters' Progression Manager) who took over after the offer was accepted to keep everything on track during what was, at times, a pretty tricky conveyancing process. Huge thanks to Jo and the whole team at Charters for real dedication to their Customers.
