Amazing! Amazing!! Amazing!!! that's just how I can describe the BrownandMerry broker service I received. Brian Stevens has been nothing but friendly and professional at the same time. He was so painstaking even when my property purchase fell through 3 times in 2 years! He was always rising to the occasion when I brought a new property to him and was always so re-assuring and motivating when I became anxious. He handheld me to success. Thank you so much Brian and the team at Stony Stratford. You made this experience so much easier than I had anticipated and I have been recommending you since then. Thank you so much.

They really should rename the company to clown and merry, meaning some one who is intoxicated and has no idea what they are doing. Do not use this bunch of lying clowns. Move on friend

Brown & Merry in Watford started off well in trying to sell my house but tailed off badly. They were enthusiastic and created a good pitch and brochure for our 3 bed semi in Silkmill road,Watford plus an open day . An acceptable offer came in quickly but the sale fell through after 4 months. We felt they did not do enough to monitor its progress and their communication was v poor. After it fell through they did nothing at all to create interest so we terminated their contract. Would not recommend. Rightmove have been far better

I let my flat through the Stony Stratford branch and then - against my better judgment - agreed to sell through them. I can honestly say, the entire process was the very worst, most time-consuming and stressful experience of customer service I've had the misfortune to be on the end of. I literally don't know where to start in warning you to avoid Brown and Merry at all costs. There might be one or two good people but overall the culture and service, right up to the highest levels of this company is utterly toxic. Just some of the nightmare scenarios included my lovely tenants being given early notice without my permission, two entire sets of keys being lost leaving us with no keys, overcharging on invoices, buyers being given wrong information, documents being lost, quite literally having to beg rude, inconsiderate senior staff for updates, and a total refusal to accept any responsibility for really serious mistakes or even acknowledge they happened. It took months and months to resolve. The nightmare ended with myself and my poor tenants, plus my buyer who ended up withdrawing from the sale, all out of pocket and agreeing it was the most awful, stressful experience of our lives. We removed our flat and sold it through another agent. Please avoid B&M at all costs.

I had a valuation from Brown & Merry and chose to go with another agent to sell my property as I felt B&M plan for selling was very agressive marketing that I didn't want to engage with. Since then I have had multiple calls to try to get my business. The most recent of which I found very uncomfortable; the woman on the call tried to make out I was stupid for not going with them 'I just don't understand why you wouldn't want more viewings and more offers' and then went through my current listing critising it and trying to sell their marketing plan. To finish the call as she would not listen to me saying I did not want to change my current plan of listing I had to tell her that I found her very abrassive and argumentative and no means no!

I recently visited Brown & Merry in Watford for the first time, and I must say, I was extremely pleased with their customer service. Will Parkinson was especially helpful and charming. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you're in need of assistance, as I am confident they will go above and beyond to help you achieve your desired outcome.

Extremely unprofessional behaviour.. the employee Nicole literally shouts over the phone and her tone is so rude, you have to chase around for months to get an appointment for repairs..

Brown and Merry helped me from the beginning of my sale to the completion. Martin, Justin, Allan and Charlotte answered all my queries, helped me with my papers, updates over the phone and regular emails, going to them in person. All sales advisors were helpful and polite.

Booked a second viewing last minute at a property we have agreed to purchase in Aylesbury. William, who accompanied us for the first viewing and has been good with communicating, came at half 5 (after he had finished) for an agreed 15 min slot. However he stayed for 45 mins with us and it was extremely helpful and beneficial.

Very disappointed with this Agency , once we put the house on the market we basically never heard from them .
Only one call after a week and that’s it . Don’t expect any form of communication from them , we lost 3 months waiting for nothing to happen .

Very disappointed with the level of service from the Stony Stratford branch.
I entrusted them to sell my property for me, very poor and almost non existent communication from the branch including keeping an eye on proceedings with my buyer (first time buyer) which ultimately led to the upper part of the chain pulling out after 20 weeks when it came to light that my buyer had barely even started the process.
A costly and very stressful experience.

MK branch has constantly facilitated a service which borderline harassed me on my way out, poor communication, a complete inability to take any information down, and refused to give me correct information such as the inventory from when I moved in.
Zero control over their awful landlords either!

A sample of our experiences trying to sell through their Aylesbury branch:
- Let us down with appointments on both our property and one we were hoping to view.
- Gave us poor advice on revaluing our property, advising a value that missed the Right Move trigger amount by £1k meaning new alerts weren't sent.
- Cancelled appointments without telling us.
- Generally low quality of staff, demonstrating limited experience in the market.

In the end we cancelled with them, but they refused to waive the contract, instead insisting we sat on our hands for 3 months until it lapsed and we could appoint a better agent.

Why am I not at all surprised to see this company has 1* reviews across the board. God knows how they are still in business!

If you are planning on going through them, Brown & Merry, any other name they are trading under, DO NOT!

They are disgusting, as are their landlords (they do not care about their properties and are too cheap to maintain them).

Prepare to go back and forth for months (as we have for 8 months) while they lie through their teeth about fixtures happening "soon" and then outright denying them altogether.

Nevermind having three young children, they care about nothing and nobody as long as the rent is being paid.

If you withhold the rent, you will be emailed 3-4 times a day by the entire staff, it is the only time they budge - but even then, all you are met with is lies.

They are utterly disgusting, the most unprofessional and irresponsible group of people I have dealt with and I hope whatever regulatory board they are under shuts them down so they do not make anybody else's lives hell.

They are nice on the phone BEFORE you sign the contract, once the deal is done, that is where the customer service ends.

I rented a house via Brown & Merry / Sequence UK for a year. During the tenancy nothing was repaired and the I was chasing deposit return for over a month! This company really don't give a s**t about their customers once they have your money!

Awful company. I went to look at a house they were selling and since then, they’ve called me 4 times trying to get me to sell my house with them. The typical conversation they start with me is - “your house has been on the market a long time. Is there any reason for it?Its a long time don’t you think?” Or “you won’t sell your house with us even if we charge a zero percentage”?. It’s all a scam this is how they get customers and they’re rude with it. I blocked their number and didn’t buy the house they were selling because they were too forceful.

Chloe at the Hemel Hempstead branch was fantastic. She responded promptly and courteously to all inquiries. I totally recommend them.

I went to view a property with my family. I had previously spoken to the agent Tayla and provided my details. At the property, we filled in the form to put an offer on the property. Everything seemed to go well! The following afternoon I received a missed call and voicemail from Tayla asking to confirm if we would like to go ahead with an offer. Having that I missed the call, I replied via email confirming the offer and I will be in touch the following day Friday. Come Friday, I called 7 mins after opening hours and advised the agent is on the phone and left my message once again confirming my offer. I called again, she’s on the phone. Called again in the afternoon as I haven’t received a call back nor acknowledgement of my email. To call this time for the gentleman to insensitively tell me they’ve let the property to someone else….. As a women of colour, this is very concerning to be have your offer accepted and unknowingly taken back with no communication. Taking into Considering how they’ve handled the matter, I would not recommend their services or agent.

Do not bother booking lettings insurance with them. It is a total nightmare to cancel and they will send you on a wild goose chase to do so.

I called insurance directly, they said speak to lettings, they eventually got back to me and gave me an email to cancel with. They responded saying speak to insurance company. Seriously? Full circle. Do yourself a favour and book it yourself.
