My experience at Burlingtons in Charlotte NC was so disappointing.
I had a two hour lunch break and decided to go there to shop for bedding mainly sheet sets.
After carefully making my selections, I stood in line only to be told we don't allow bedding for layaway.
I looked around for written information about that and saw none.
SMH, then walked out.
Layaway should be for items such as bedding, not just clothes and shoes!

Like I was called in to work the cash register because someone else was sick and I was like: 'okay sure I'll take in their place!' to get more hours you know?
And she said I can come in whenever I wanted to
and then I went to get panda express for lunch since I was going on lunch break since I had to work more than 5 hours
The store calls
and say 'hey where are you'
'uh, I'm just picking up lunch and then I'm on my way'
Told me I got 5 minutes even though it was a few miles from the panda express
I get there and I was out of breath saying I'm here
But the other manager on duty told me don't even bother, we expected you here an hour ago and you didn't show up
Even though I said I'm coming
And now I'm just so upset about it
I'm gonna cry again dude I just got hired and I already hate this job.

Burlington stores no longer allow their customers to use the public bathroom. After calling the corporate office to explain the frustrations of what I was feeling, the customer service rep was very rude and I have it recorded. I was not allowed to ask for a manager. I was told it's corporate's decision. We need to boycott the store!! I will put this on TikTok.

Rude sellers, when you buy from them, they smile at you, and when you come to return some goods, they begin to be rude.

My grandson and I were at the Burlington store on the east side of Madison, WI when I was hit with stomach cramps. My grandson looked at things while I made my way to the restroom, only to find they were closed to the public. I thought this had to be a mistake. I made my way to the front of the store to ask about the restroom and if it could be unlocked. I was told “no”, they said they have been having problems with people in their restrooms so they’re not open to the public anymore, but Joanne Fabrics and Marshall’s has bathrooms for the public. I told them good to know, I will try to make it to one of those stores and that I won’t return to Burlington again. I was told it wasn’t just this Burlington that was closing its restrooms, all of them were. I asked her if she really thought that changed anything and the fact remains that it’s poor customer service. How do you expect/think the general public is going to come into your store for an extended amount of time to shop and you’re not providing public bathroom facilities for infants to elderly? This was their solution??? I have let everyone know that they should not go to Burlington EVER! Customers make businesses successful! They can also be the cause of businesses going under! Maybe Burlington Coat Factories is past its usefulness to the general public. I will not, ever go into a Burlington store again. I did make my way to Marshalls and after using the restroom went on to make a large purchase. So happy that I didn’t waste my time or money at Burlington.

They never have fitting rooms available. I wanted to try my items in the bathroom but restrooms are not available either.😕. I have visited Burlington, Rialto, CA so many times and always the same no matter what time you go there. I can never try my items.

I love Burlington, with all the special I can always find something to wear. But recently after standing on a long line and mid-way to the counter I needed to use the restroom and found that the bathroom was locked and was told it was now for employees only. This at the bay plaza, Bronx. Where no matter what time you go there the is always a long line. So now myself and serval clients had to leave to find a bathroom. With this policy in place your store will surely loss a lot of customers.

I’m at Burlington in Canovanas PR. The store is good and clear. But when you go to pay your items the line are ridiculous. This is the worst place to buy from. I spoke to the manager and he said that there was nothing he could do. Why have a manager it he is of no help when needed.

When Burlington first opened in Charlottesville, VA, the clothes and shoes were nice and there was a great variety. Now there's nothing good on the shelves - nothing to wear to work, and the shoes are mismatched and all over the floor. Everything is a mess!

We went to Burlington, South Virginia St, Reno. We are the visitors from San Francisco. When we come to Reno, we always go to this Burlington. This time is very bad customer service and the staff and manager are very rude to customers. This Burlington is not allowed to use the restroom. If anybody go to shopping, they take at least 1hr. This time also we want to use the restroom and we used the restroom. However, the staff said this is not the public restroom and any guest can’t use. I don’t know why. My sister is the disabled and my grandmother is over 70yr old. The staff also said like that if we want to use the restroom, we need to go out to the other shop. I think that’s not a make sense. The manager also said like that she needs to check the CCTV for us.. Why????? The staff make us the racist and she said this is your restroom. Why did she say like that? Of course, this is not my restroom, I’m a customer. I have a question about the staff. Burlington operation trained to the staff like that???? Someone have to respond me.

So Never get a burlington c.c....I paid it off then few month later a credit collection calling telling me I owe 200$ I tried to ask why and the man yelled at me so I hung up then called back and guy say I was paying late fees ( for 0$) so I paid it off the man told me ot was paid to 0 and my account was turned off. Now just got a another bill... so I call and the man say I have to talk to a manager so a manager gets on and says she can't make the amount go away because it's a service fee... how do I have a service fee after I turned off the card...if I had then means I would get a lawyer because I'm not paying it...

I went to the store and find that you close restroom to the people and I think that the people needs the service for themselves and for the family wish is really bad at my opinion well that’s what I think here in Tucson az

Big sign about dignity and no public restrooms. Completely not moved when I said I had a medical condition. Will not be spending my $ here anymore!

I will never shop here again! Employees are rude (not a one time thing either) and their return policy sucks ass! Even with a receipt I got only 50%of my $$ back. I asked for Corp # and was literally told " you can google it" WOW !!!!

Burlington should train its store manager about the basics of customer service. I had very bad experiences with the Edgewater Burlington store manager. Unfortunately, I read similar reviews from other customers about his bad ethics, arrogance, and poor customer service skills. It looks like no action is made so far. I've stopped going to this store because of him and I'm sure other customers will do the same unless action is taken.

Horrible experience...bought Unisa sandals for $18.30 in 6/22 and by December they'd totally disintegrated. The last time I wore them after they' d stretched and made me unstable walking, the thong mechanism between my toes totally pulled out of the sandal and I spreadeagled on the sidewalk and almost hit my head against a building. People had to help me get up which was embarrassing. I should've returned them earler, yes, but they were poor quality to begin with and not worth even $18.30.

When I attempted with manager Justine at the Ventura Ca store to either return or replace them, she basically blew me off. "Without a receipt and after 45 days, I can t do anything. That's store policy." I showed her my check register with Burlington CF as the recipient of the money on my line item inventory in my check register, and asked her to run the attached debit card for my purchase history. Nothing...they purge after a few months unlike a high end store, such as Nordstrom.

She displayed NO concern for my well being, made no attempt at contacting corporate to see what they could do to address the poor product quality and my injury, so I contacted corporate back east, spoke with supervisor Stephanie at customer complaints and hope something will be done to review any further brokering of Unisa products as well as my experience with Justine. I remember a Burlington CF in the 90s back in Boston where I bought gorgeous London Fog, Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis and Anne Klein coats and jackets that I STILL WEAR because they're classics. I spent 1000s and told Justine that, to which she sarcastically responded, "We ll survive.. we make more than 1000s a year". Basically, who needs you anyway? I won' t ever go back there and am sorry to see a great, quality outlet founded in 1972 by a classy family, the Milsteins of Burlington, NJ become a tacky thrift store aimed at less than savvy shoppers.

So, BCF ...who needs you anyway.

I found a costume for a dog in a messy display on the floor, and I wanted to buy it. It had a price tag. The cashier kindly told me that it was a donation piece, and I kindly asked why it was on the floor. If something is on the floor WITH A PRICE TAG, one has the right to buy it. I asked to speak to the manager. KIZCI MOTLER. I asked to pay ten times more than the price tag (over the donation value). As if she owned the place, Kizci refused to sell me the piece with an aggressive and mean attitude. I asked why she allowed the piece to be on display if it wasn't to be sold. I asked if she could find a solution, and she said she didn't want to. I've never been so insulted as a customer before. She didn't even let me finish my sentences. After Kizci left, I said to the cashiers that I hoped they'd get a new manager soon, and they agreed. The store is in horrible shape, and I took pictures as proof. I know you are an affordable store, but this is no excuse for the lack of customer care or appreciation shown by the Burlington representatives. I've never been treated so badly before during a shopping experience. Kizci doesn't deserve this position, and I will be following the turnout.
