What can I say … professional service at its best … from arranging a viewing, to acceptance and communications, all very smooth and slick … Will, Sam and team were fantastic!!

I have just completed a house purchase with Charters. Stephen has acted as our dedicated contact and has been absolutely fantastic. From day one her introduced himself and provided regular updates and communications between the seller, solicitors, and I without prompt. This is my first house purchase and he really went the extra mile to walk me through an unfamiliar process. From putting an offer in to completion the whole process took just 4 months (and would have been sooner had it not been for delays caused by me!). I cannot recommend Stephen from Charters Southampton enough. Thank you for all your help! ♥️

Regarding the handling of our tenancy application and the continued failure to return our £288.00 holding deposit.
Charters have consistently failed to return calls, emails or the holding deposit.
I was assured a week ago that the deposit had been sent to the accounts department; this has still not been issued.

I am also concerned by the apparent lack of transparency surrounding the referencing process. From the outset, we made it clear that we would not consent to open banking checks being undertaken. Despite this, the referencing process continued to be delayed, and no satisfactory explanation has been provided as to why the application was not progressed in a timely manner.

Sam my agent gets things DONE. He's very kind and suuuper efficient in any requests or queries we have as tenants.

Mazie was wonderful to work with. She was friendly, professional, and made the entire home viewing experience comfortable and enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the property, answered all of my questions patiently, and took the time to explain everything clearly. We would like to thank the Bessie Tighe, the Property Relations Manager, for all the help which she has given to us during the past few weeks, when several matters arose at the same time on two of our properties. Throughout all the protracted transactions, she dealt with us in a professional and courteous way, been prompt in her replies to us, and we have found her advice very helpful.

However, we would like to mention for ongoing and future reference that when landlords are approached to consider the subject of rent reviews that a slightly longer period of time be given before the date of the two months´ notice expires. We found that the “lettings team” had to be consulted in order to make a decision as to the amount of rent which was suggested by ourselves. This process took much longer than anticipated, incurring many more emails than was necessary. Unfortunately, the two months` deadline date had expired by the time the lettings team were able to reply to us. This has meant that instead of waiting two months for the increase in rental payment to be made, we now have to wait three months – incurring us in a loss of a one months` increase in rent. Please could this time limit be taken into consideration when approaching the decisions which landlords have to make. Furthermore, one month ago we found it necessary to consult the lettings team on another subject and to date we have received no reply directly from them regarding that particular matter.

I would like to thank both Lydia and Cameron for their continual support from finding me a buyer, and my onward purchase. They have both exceeded my expectations with their market knowledge in terms of my home valuation, and their patience and diligence in finding me my perfect home.
