In an age where customer service often doesn’t always deliver, John has shown that this is not true for him, and Chippenham Kia. John went the extra mile to make sure our customer experience was spot on! Thanks very much again John for all your help, understanding during the whole process.
Chippenham Motor Company are fine when…
Chippenham Motor Company are fine when you are buying a new car from them and paying £52k, however if as me you purchase an EV6 and it fails after just under 12 months do not expect them to help with a loan car, you will get a straight no chance. I was told it would take at least two weeks to fix my car, they told me to try Kia for a loan car which I did, Kia told me to ask Chippenham Motor Company for a loan car! I was given many excuses by both parties including there is a process and it takes two weeks! If the part is obtainable in five days this does not constitute a delay! Kia blamed delay of CMC for not ordering the part swiftly. I even got to speak to the Chippenham Motors Service Manager who told me that she was leaving for home in 10 minutes and that would be the end of the call! They even demanded that I drive a 50 mile round trip to give them the analogue key even though I had been to Chippenham the previous day to get something I needed from the car and found it open and left it open as there was no power to the car, when I got there the car was open and they had not even bothered to check even though I had told them this was the case! I lost patience after a week without a car and contacted the Motor Ombudsman and was swiftly provided with a hire car! You have been warned, I have purchased two new Kia cars but this is the last. Chippenham Motor Company have no interest in repeat business. After the sale the customer is certainly not king, the attitude of CMC is arrogant, dismissive and lazy. You have been warned buy your car elsewhere if you expect helpful, efficient and friendly service. AVOID.

I thought it was about time I left a review for this dealership. I have being using CMC since September 2018 when I purchased my 2nd Sorento from them. From then till now I have purchased a total of 10 vehicles from them for both personal and my company use. These range from Kia Picanto’s to the fast EV6 GT, and most recently an EV9 and EV3. They also helped me source one of the last production Stingers. All of these vehicles are serviced at CMC except one service on a Picanto. My first comment must be on every purchase the sales team have been truly exceptional. Following on from that the after sales team have been fantastic and always there to help with any issues on the vehicles, which I have to highlight have been very few. From a hospitality background , it would be fair to say the experience of the customer journey with all the old and new team has been without fault. I have and will only purchase a Kia from them and only let them service my current Kia portfolio. They must rate as one of the best team and dealerships I have ever dealt with in purchasing personal and company vehicles. You never know the new EV2 could be my 11th vehicle.

Big disappointment
Visited Chippenham Motor Company today to buy a car. Yes — buy. We arrived in the rain and walked into the showroom where two salespeople appeared to be busy. No problem at all, we were happy to wait.
One of those salespeople finished with a customer, made clear eye contact with us… and then immediately wandered off to help another family. No greeting, no “I’ll be with you shortly”, no acknowledgment whatsoever. Impressive levels of invisibility training on display.
After waiting a while longer, we decided to leave. On the way out, we realised there weren’t two salespeople after all, there were four. The other two were seated comfortably at their desks with no customers, seemingly committed to an experimental new sales technique: doing absolutely nothing.
I don’t know who owns CMC, but if ignoring customers who are physically standing in your showroom is company policy, then it’s being followed to the letter. If it isn’t, then management may wish to wander the showroom occasionally.
Having since read the reviews, it appears we may have dodged a bullet; aftercare seems to be as absent as the sales staff.
Anyway, back to D Lovett, where customers are at least acknowledged as existing.

Had the privilage of purchasing my used Kia Stonic from Lawrence at Kia Chippenham. He was very helpful in fulfilling my requirments and found communication to be very good.

Sold me a faulty car with undisclosed…
Sold me a faulty car with undisclosed damage and a short MOT. No repairs done. After I complained, I was pressured from a personal number to withdraw it or get nothing fixed. I have video evidence and the case is now with Trading Standards, the Financial Ombudsman and the ICO. Avoid.
