Purchased Rust hosting from these guys and all was well for the first 2-3 month, then had issues where server would stop after 5-10mins. this issue went on for 3-4 month, they even moved my server to another box with new ip and still the same issues. DONOT buy from these people as there servers cannot handle any game correctly that uses more than 5gig of ram

The server that I bought with Citadel Servers wasn't functioning, and their support only tried to do some basic troubleshooting before giving up and refusing to respond for weekss. Despite repeated attempts to communicate with the company (through both the support platform as well as other channels) they never responded after that.

I would be more than happy to try to come up with an amicable resolution, but the company just doesn't seem interested in trying to resolve the situation. It's honestly quite surprising.

After reading some stories online about Citadel Servers (also known as Citadel Host and Servertica) it seems that they've been doing this for years.

What's more, the company doesn't seem to be willing to share any information whatsoever about who's behind the company. I tried to ask them, but they just wouldn't give me any information, so the whole thing feels weird.

I would avoid this company altogether.

What I liked most about citadelservers is their game panel which is super user friendly! I was able to configure my server easily and start playing right away.

Citadel Servers are a bunch of scammers with very poor server performance and even worse customer service. Beware, these guys will continue to charge your card even after cancellation. I had to cancel my debit card and dispute months of additional charges with my bank after I requested they cancel my account. I have yet to see whether or not I will receive my money back. Citadel refuses to offer a refund, only credit that can be used on their services. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES, YOU WILL REFRET IT IF YOU DO!

I have never purchased my own game server before and honestly, was a bit hesitant thinking it was rather complex. There are a few options and for the game I play, going against their recommended partner made me even more nervous. After playing on another valheim community server run by citadel servers and interacting with one of their people, I decided to give it a try. Largely in part to the responsiveness and willingness the rep showed me, it made me feel that the level of service he provided must be an indication of the level of service they deliver and how the company conducts it's business. The setup was remarkably intuitive, done exclusively on my iPad. The prices are affordable and the ability to host my own server and manage it on the computer or my ipad really made it easy, their game panel has all the features you'd expect and their youtube videos they provide with their guides explain everything. If you want a quality service, at affordable rates, for your favorite game, this is your place.

service is okay. they can't do actual refunds except credit but that's it

I brought this for my grandson and his friends so that they can enjoy their games. I talked through their chat and they were really nice people helping me set up this server. Didn't think it was quite easy as that. I hope to see more people like them assisting an old lady like me.

Server was good. Customer service however not so much. Refuse to refund the money the took for server renewal even though the service was cancelled days before the renewal date. Now just keep saying “cancellation should be sent before an invoice gets generated”. How can they not refund for a service that had not at the time been received……

As someone who owned their own GSP for several years in my much younger years, I have a lot of experience both hosting server and managing customer support. The level of support can be categorized as an absolute joke. The Valheim server I got came non-working out of the box, and I asked for my money back within 5 hours of ordering my server. They told me they wouldn't give me my money back and would only give me credit. Never in my life have I seen such an absolute crap return policy. Lesson learned; Read the fine print. Almost every other company offers you a 24-72 hour refund period so this crap doesn't occur but I can tell this is a common occurrence for them, probably because of their crap infrastructure. I went somewhere else and had a working server immediately after ordering. I created a dispute within Paypal and within an hour of doing so they suspended my service (So I only had it for about 12 hours total before it was suspended for "Non Payment") My Paypal case was denied because "Seller provided adequate tracking information for the order" - WHAT A PILE OF S**T DO NOT ORDER FROM CITADEL SERVERS. LOOK ELSEWHERE AND DON'T GET SCAMMED.

Rude, unhelpful, steals your money. Basically the service never worked properly. Not all of that was on this company and at first they did try to help. But the majority of the technical problems were clearly on them as we had none of the same issues once we switched to another service.

Despite cancelling the service they will still take funds from the payment method you used when you signed up when the next month starts. Even though we cancelled the recurring payment through the payment service the payment went through again and Citadel will not give you a refund. The kicker was their customer service rep blamed it on me and said I was irresponsible.

Do yourself a favor and work with a company that values their customers. It's worth the extra couple dollars a month.

there client is not capable of doing game updates I have been 3 days of not being able to access the server and they take 20 hours to reply to a support ticket. there live chat takes a long time to reply to as well (currently been waiting 32minutes for a response on live chat).
