On day 1 of getting a server I had multiple issues getting it running. After I opened a ticket I had to wait 2 hours for a response and it was only 1 sentence with very little information on what was done. After they "updated" it the server was set to public and not private, would not allow me to see how many people were on the server at the time and pinging the server said no response. It still let me join the server but all the config files were wrong so i updated my previous ticket to get more help. 3 more hours with no response. I opened a second ticket asking for them to help setup the server with the specific config files sonce it wasnt working for me and I got no response for another 2 hours. I currently have 2 open tickets with a cumulative of 5 hours with no help.

Wonderful host, go above and beyond for what you need

Awful. Awful. Awful. Purchased a Starbound server. It crashed multiple times a day for no reasons I could determine. Put in a ticket for support, never got a reply. Sought hosting elsewhere after my ticket wasn't replied to. They refuse to refund my money. I cancelled the server on day 4. I put in a ticket that wasn't reply to on day 2. They want to give me credit. Why would anyone want credit for somewhere with such poor services and awful customer service?

Horrible company. They take your money then NEVER respond. I was an idiot and purchased 2 servers; one was setup but on the wrong specs that I requested. The second was never setup. Its been 5 days and I am still waiting for a response. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY

Horrible customer service & server hosting service overall.

It has been almost two weeks where my support-ticket has been unresolved. Have been having issues of not being able to use the server host control panel. My friends are unable to connect to the server and I'm unable to access the CP to restart/stop the server since, always giving me the unable to connect to server host error.

They keep replying to my support ticket with "it has been resolved" and immediately closing the ticket without actually fixing the main problem, which is their own servers.

It was good for the first two weeks, but after that... 0 server service... And I have paid for 3 months worth of service. I'm definitely going to get my money back, one way or another, legally.

In a nutshell. STAY AWAY from this company, they are clearly a scam. You will receive 0 service & customer support. I thought 4net server host was bad, these folk take the icing on the cake for being the most god-awful server hosting company!

I have an ark cluster with citadel for the last year and it's been a good experience. Support is fast, they use nvme drives so it's lightning fast too. Highly recommended.

By far the best host when it comes to the server itself. It has a lot of tools (although hard to use) and works great. My ping is low even for my buddy over seas. If I was only rating the server hardware/software I could give a 4 star, maybe even 5.

But... their customer support is by far the worst out of the 5 companies I've used. Even the ones with horrible customer service are better. What I mean by that is they actually respond and talk to you even if it's bad. I seen someone else say it's like a ghost town. This is 100% correct. Sorry, but you guys HAVE to find a better way to provide support. I've had Minecraft server hosts with 24/7 customer CHAT support. Not a ticket, but actually talking to someone when I have an issue. Or others that will at least chat back and forth with you in the ticket within an few hours. But I'd rather wait in a queue for an hour or more to talk to someone than deal with some tickets getting responded to and some sitting untouched.

I challenge you guys to do better. You could seriously be the best if you improved you customer service. If not you seriously could end up being one more host I leave because I have to wait days to get my issue fixed.

Pretty good so far, got a dayz standalone server got deerisle and dayz expansion working in a few clicks. Worth the money.

Went with citadel host after looking at pricing of other hosts and they looked pretty decent, price was fair, not the cheapest but was not looking for a budget host in someones basement. Rented 2 servers, garrysmod and left 4 dead 2 for my community and after a few months, they have provided a solid experience with their support being helpful and the game panel update they did was great.

Here's to more months with you citadel hosting company!

One of the better host's i've tried and i've been through a fair few, garbage nitrado, gtx gaming and low.ms - They all sucked, inferior game panels but these guys have got a decent package, great support, solid game panel, will keep using them, can't fault them yet.

i take dayz server i have full problems with gameserver 3 times rollback with out reason and did'nt reply on my ticket ! WASTE TIME WASTE MONEY THIS TRASH PROVIDER

I wanted to test out this server hosting and was surprised since I came from a different hosting company where they never answer any of my ticket/concern, but on this hosting the response was way better and also a resolution to my problems. Happy customer here. -Brent

I have hosted ark survival evolve game server with them.

I wanted a personal server i could mod, play with friends in texas, california and new york city and was suprised to find they offer all 3 locations, went with texas because its in between them and it's all working well.

Good server experience so far ( 2 weeks ) new game panel is nice

For those thinking of joining Citadel Servers -- don't. Rented a Subsistence Server from them that was not properly set up, wouldn't run in-game and gave errors despite saying it was running. Put in a ticket and waited with no reply when the server wouldn't work which was obviously a very urgent issue paying for something that doesn't even work on default setup. I had to delete all files they put on, download everything from the dev and setup myself to get it working halfway -- server still randomly stopped and started and kicked everyone from the game every 5-10 mins of play but we could log right back in as it was magically restarted and up. Finally after days of waiting for a reply and multiple ticket updates we get a one-line reply "random server stoppages should be fixed." No mention of all the crap I went through to set it up when they didn't do it in the first place. Also, you can forget a refund -- you get server "credit" -- why do I want credit on a service that is terrible to begin with? AVOID AT ALL COSTS - We will continue on our current payment until it runs out with them simply because we can't get a refund. I'll happily raise my review from 1 star if service gets better -- but I'm highly skeptical at this point. *Update: After about 3-4 days of it running decent it totally bombed again. Server totally crashes and gives errors, even when i go back to base install or my personal backup of the server -- it crashes. Waiting 2 days so far on a ticket to get it running again. Can I give this review no stars or negative stars??
*Update #2 - No response to any ticket to help with our server it's been almost 2 weeks -- they even closed one due to no response after a number of days when they didn't touch it -- the only notes on it are my updates and my issues?? All we wanted was a server to play a game with a group of friends and it turned into three weeks of no server, issues and frustration with no responses from Citadel. Everyone stay away from this service, it's a clear scam.
Update #3 - A formal complaint was launched to PayPal to get a refund on this service. I can say that this was the quickest response I received from the company as they processed a refund, likely to get me out of their hair and I'm happy to be gone, in a matter of a day. My tickets were closed in the days following and I guess they have an automated process to solicit a review of how the ticket was handled. I assume this is just for show and won't be viewed by anyone seriously -- my response to Shea Sharrock who was handling my tickets was "I think the fact that I had to resort to a formal PayPal complaint against this company for the lack of support and lack of delivery of promised goods says it all. This was one of the single worst experiences I have had for trying to get a server/game/database loaded up and running from a third party company. I have moved to Nitrado and within 5 minutes I had bought, installed and was running my game on that server with no issues and it is still running!"
Update #4 - Formal complaint was launched and is now escalated to PayPal for resolution due to the lack of response from Citadel. They suspended my account quickly when this action was taken. This company has a history of doing this, please read all reviews and stay away.
Update #5 - Paypal received no response from the company on my complaint -- my refund was pushed through and I'm getting my money back in full for the lack of service they provided. If you are having issues make sure to launch a formal complaint. This company knows they are in the wrong and won't fight it.

you cant even get an actual refund, they just put it into your credit that you'll never use.
