Would have preferred to select 0 star rating, Recently bought 2 swim shorts from Columbia sportswear, i regret so much ordered online with this disgraceful company, i returned one pair reason being changed mind not suitable, Also you do have a Legal right the consumer rights act 2015 change your mind to return for a full refund, A refund is then due within 14 days they received my return, this is confirmed by UPS tracking number with proof of delivery receipt Columbia had received my return, unfortunately still no REFUND, Columbia says not received in warehouse to refund, Emailed Columbia with proof of UPS delivery clearly shows Columbia did receive back my return, got no reply from Columbia sportswear, Now have instructed the bank with chargeback to get my money refunded, Looking at all these comments on here i only wish looked here first before ordering online, Columbia no doubt the worst company have ever experienced.Anybody considering to order from Columbia sportswear online needs urgently to think again and spend your good money elsewhere or have so much trouble and inconvenience dealing with this disgraceful company if unfortunately you want a refund or anything to do with your order, Hopefully the many negative reviews on here will impact financially this company to make them eventually sort the issues and problems out they have, it's self evident to see why Columbia have many problems with the many negative reviews on here, hopefully all who have experienced problems with Columbia will put their reviews on as many social media platforms as possible to warn others.columbia also it seems take no notice with the UK Law consumer rights 2015 Act,Now i wait my bank to resolve this issue having now initiated the chargeback for my refund, i will rightly so get my refunded eventually, However will never again order anything from Columbia sportswear, To others who have problems trying to get a refund please don't wait or waste your time with Columbia, will only cause you so much inconvenience, Go to your bank and use Chargeback under the UK Law consumer 2015 Act

Bought a pair of waterproof boots which actually leaked after walking across a few fields.
Purchased directly from the Columbia website.

I have revised this review as they have given a voucher which covered the cost (and a bit extra). There were delays to the point where I thought I was being ignored. Eventually though it got sorted out.

Bought £100 worth of sportswear for my niece to try as she lives out of town! I took it back to the shop only to be told they only do credit notes or exchanges.

I was not told at the point of purchase, or directed to a sign to read to understand their outdated refund policy. When I did look at the sign the first line states 28 days with proof of purchase. You have to continue reading, to discover that you will only get a credit note or exchange. The manager informed me they don’t do online refunds either and many companies have this policy.

Well the first statement is in fact untrue because of distance selling. They wouldn’tbe allowedto not offer a return policy online. So the manager lied to me or just maybe, staff training is non existent and they are clueless. Secondly, I do a lotof shopping and the only time I come across this kind of refund policy is for lingerie or make up and the sales assistant will always tell you prior to purchase, that items are non refundable. A sportswear company has no reason to have such a policy. I will never buy or gift from this store again and I will tell everyone not to. There may be an outdoor trend going on but there are plenty Of brands with a more flexible and current approach to returns. It’s 2024, everyone offers returns. If you don’t advise the customer before you take their cash.

Terrible PR. Will buy from other brands with a less desperate financial policy who understands the customer shopping habits post Covid.

I ordered a pair of boots and a pair of shoes; despite the web-site showing there were reviews I couldn't find a way to view these and that should have been my first warning. I placed the order but each time I checked progress on the tracking it said a delivery label had been raised but it never moved on to advise the goods had been despatched and then out for delivery. After a few days I decided to cancel the order, which it seems Columbia Sportswear won't let you do. Despite this I used their on-line form to advise I wanted to cancel. And the next day the goods turned up by UPS! In fairness the shoes and boots seemed a decent quality for the price but after my experience of the web-site and seeing reviews about other people's problems with quality issues with their purchases and dealing with customer services I immediately returned them for a refund, promised in 10-15 days (which fortunately they did do).
I did receive a reply from customer services which informed me that their deliveries typically take 4-5 business days and I had to allow additional time for the order to be "prepared". As this involved putting two boxes in a larger box I'm not sure how much time this should take and typically UPS have made deliveries to me within 24-48 hours from other retailers so perhaps Columbia Sportwear need to take a look at their logistics as these days customers rightly or wrongly expect delivery within two or three days for off-the-shelf items rather than a week or more.
I ended up ordering my items from Mountain Warehouse, similar product and a similar price. They came in a couple of days with the tracking kept up to date. I'd ordered two sizes and the cost of the returned items was credited back to my card within 2 days of them receiving the returned items so I know my criticism of Columbia Sportswear isn't unreasonable.
On-line retailing for this sort of product is fierce and really if Columbia sportwear intend to be in business in a few years time they need to look at their systems and how they compare to the competition - a Trustpilot score this low really isn't a good advert. If I'd checked Trustpilot first I certainly wouldn't even have placed an order.
Finally, looking back through past reviews I wonder why Columbia Sportswear never respond to reviews - most companies will it they feel the review is unfair or unreasonable.

Absolutely shocking customer service would not recommend - avoid!

I love all those items I purchased from Columbia Sportswear in the last 5-7 years. They were practical, fit for purpose, good quality and even fashionable. It is rather regrettable that the selection has become somewhat limited recently. And their website became too slow to perform extensive searches.

Following confirmation from Columbia (on the 5th March), that they have received the return of two coats in perfect condition, they advised that would process a refund within 10-15 business days. 15 business days have passed and I have still not heard a word.

I phoned Columbia today to ask what was going on and they acknowledged receipt of the items and that due to a technical issue, they had neglected to process the refund. They advised that a manual refund would be processed by the end of the day and unfortunately, I still have received nothing.

As they do not have an exchange policy, where you can swap one size for another, you simply have to request a refund and purchase a different size instead. If this is going to be their approach, you have to be confident in their ability to process returns and conduct refunds. Unfortunately, their refund process does not work and I fear I will end up having to raise a dispute.

It is sad, as I have purchased three other Columbia jackets this year and they are absolutely fantastic. In addition. the process for ordering an item works very well. It is just the return and refund process that fails and for a business that operates almost entirely online, it is simply not good enough

18 month old, hardly worn, leather coming away from sole. No longer waterproof. Absolute rubbish and not fit for purpose. Stay away from this product or regret it.

Please avoid buying directly. I love their clothes but the direct website and returns are terrible. Customer support blames the high volume of a winter sale but it shouldn't take longer than 14 days after they receive my item to refund. They have now breached UK trading standards in the process. I have reported them. I don't know when I'll get my money back. I'm clearly not the only one either.

I returned the item I purchased from your store back on January 22nd, and guess what? I haven't heard a single peep from your so-called "customer service" team since then. I sent an email last week, that was supposed to be answered in 48h....It's been weeks, and I'm still waiting for my refund.

I find it absolutely mind-boggling that a company of your stature can't manage to provide even half-decent customer service. It's not rocket science, guys. A quick and efficient refund process should be a basic expectation, but apparently that's too much to ask for from Columbia.

This kind of treatment is simply unacceptable. You can't just take customers' money and then disappear into thin air. It's downright shameful and it's tarnishing your reputation.

In UK they send emails with USA sizes, why?

Item returned early December, UPS have declared they have lost it so why am I still waiting for the refund after numerous emails to you and phone calls, shocking customer service

I was awaiting a large refund and after reading reviews below I was very apprehensive I wouldn't get the money back without a battle/ having to claim through credit card company.

I am posting below to reassure people that my return was processed in line with the maximum timescales published on columbia uk website.

Yes, this is slow compared to many other companies but the refund did arrive within the time scale they had advertised without me having to chase.

Returned items arrived at UK depot on 5th Jan and I received my refund 15 working days later on 26th Jan.

Holding my money hostage for a return that they received weeks ago. And every time I call they say they'll email me back and they never do. And everytime I ask to escalate they ask me to email, which guess what, they never come back to.

3 months a go i have bought outdoor boot in Columbia Turkey. After 20/ 25 times usage boots are have been abraded I bring back to boots to examination. A few days later Columbia informed that products are ok in terms of material and production quality. I called customer service after but not really satisfied information regarding to inspection report.

It is not fairy that Columbia informed me their products are ok becouse i bought outdoor boot and used during rainy day in Turkey.

I really disappointed because if this outdoor boots designed and tested very well in terms of product development process; those outdoor boot can not be abraded in this daily life usage.

On the other hand customer relationship very bad their brand value is not good to after sales services

I placed an order on this website in November 2023. It is now January 2024 and I still have not received my refund.
Delivery of my order took 11 days. I was deeply disappointed that the incorrect sizes were sent. I tried to contact the company by e-mail; it took 13 days for them to reply and even then they did not offer an apology nor did they offer to rectify the situation by replacing the incorrect items as per my request. I don't think they even bothered to read my e-mail.
I initiated a refund via their website. They sent me an e-mail saying: 'The parcel you returned has reached our intermediary depot. It will soon be delivered to our warehouse in France. Once there, our team will treat your return as soon as possible.'
Despite confirming they have received the items back in their depot, I have had no refund. They owe me £154.00 which they have had since November 2023. I have no option but to now initiate a refund via my bank. What a total waste of my time!

RUBBISH RUBBISH ROBBERY
I have placed an order 18/11/23 they delivered to wrong address.I have been trying contacting them to solve the issue it’s almost 2 weeks zero help still haven’t got my package.Finally I gave up and asked for cancellation and refund but I have been told that we can’t cancel it I don’t know how it is possible.So now I can’t get my order and I can’t get refund.Absolutely NIGHTMARE

Would give zero stars if it was an option.
Sent me a stain covered jacket; when I asked to return it they send you a big label to print off just to inconvenience you further.
This is now 14 days after returning it and they’re telling me they can’t refund me until the parcel has reached France (I sent it to a depot in Coventry).
Abysmal customer service that are no help at all. Couldn’t care less.
