A really poor service
A really poor service. I was referred with severe back pain and a weakened ankle / foot due to nerve damage. Doctor marked the referral as urgent but any action from Cora took ages. When I phoned them I was told 'we are not an urgent service'. Long waits for appointments followed, and appointments were not local. I was forced into paying for private care. This service should be removed from Cora and returned to the NHS. Previously I would have got an urgent referral to a senior physio at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, and any further physio would also have been there. There was nothing wrong with that system other than problems caused by underfunding. Giving the money to Cora will not help.

Today
Today, I had a really positive experience with Lynsey from Cora Health (Camden, London). She was proactive and took the initiative to organise a change of venue with a senior physiotherapist, which made a big difference to me.
She also took the time to explain the online portal—something no one had shown me before. Being able to access my appointments and documents in one place has been incredibly helpful, especially as someone who is neurodiverse.
What stood out most was her approach. She was friendly, patient, and never abrupt. She genuinely listened, showed care, and handled everything with professionalism and intelligence.
This experience has restored my faith in the company. Thank you for such excellent service.

Pain Management Service should be…
Pain Management Service should be renamed Pointless Management Service. Repeated referrals closed. Eventually thought we were getting somewhere for actual treatment of severe back pain but no. Final quote from the Lead Clinician - I can offer other help but none of them will reduce the pain. In other words, you'll just have to live with it until you're rushed to A & E in agony.

Disable patients avoid at all cost
I attended an NHS podiatry appointment at the Oxford Botley Clinic run by Cora Health and had a very poor and unsafe experience as a disabled patient travelling alone.
I spent around 30 minutes repeatedly circling the car park trying to find an accessible parking space so I could attend my appointment using my mobility device. There was no clear information or signage about the lack of accessible parking, or how disabled patients are expected to safely access the appointment. I had been referred to this appointment specifically because I have significant difficulty walking, so being unable to physically access the site was extremely concerning.
On arrival, there was no staff reception or assistance. Check-in was only via a self-service kiosk, which could not find my appointment. I was then instructed to call a customer service number based in Newcastle.
There was no mobile phone reception inside the building, meaning I had to go outside onto a roadside to attempt to make the call, which was unsafe given traffic conditions. There was also no free WiFi or on-site phone available to contact support, leaving no accessible or safe alternative means of communication. While trying to resolve the issue, I lost connection repeatedly and received no effective assistance from the call handler, who was not familiar with the clinic system.
After a prolonged delay, I missed my appointment entirely.
I was then told by a staff member that I may be fined for parking, despite being a disabled patient.
The situation caused significant distress and I experienced a panic attack. There was no on-site support available at any point, and I had to leave while still unwell.
There were no reasonable adjustments in place for disabled patients using the clinic, and no accessible alternative to the self-check-in and phone-based system.
This raises serious concerns about accessibility, safety, and the suitability of this system for disabled patients relying on NHS services.

Delays and Inefficiencies in My Monitoring Experience !!
My first appointment was canceled, and I was told they’d call to rebook—but they never did. Instead, I received a message from my GP saying I’d been discharged from the center. When I called back, they confirmed it was an error on their side and reinstated my appointment. At that second appointment, the device was fitted, but it didn’t work. Now I’m told I need a third appointment. No offense to the polite staff member, but in close proximity, there were noticeable food odors, which felt unprofessional. This whole process has been inefficient, and my check-up is delayed for weeks. I hope this feedback helps improve the service, as I still have no results and feel this has wasted a lot of time.

I was referred by the physio at my gp surgery. As I need a referral to a specialist but they have to go through Cora. I was not very hopeful and this was affirmed when I did not get any treatment or the onward referral. Pleasant as the people were.
Back to square one of being expected to work in pain and having nowhere to go to get any help apart from painkillers and antidepressants. I’m sure Cora are happy though as they got paid for not doing anything again.
We should all be up in arms about this fly by night company taking huge sums of money from the nhs to head people off at the pass.
We are going to be a society full of broken people who can’t get past the photocopied sheet of exercises. We all pay for this service and should be able to access it. I wonder which mps relative runs Cora?

Physiotherapy Waiting Time is Awful
Following an open humerus fracture to my arm/elbow on 8th March I had surgery to repair with metal work on 13th March. I was discharged from Hospital on 16th March with a phone call and letter referral for Urgent Physio.
Cora Health emailed me 17th March(into a junk folder)made me aware they would be in touch. I finally received a text on 23rd April for a telephone consultation. On advice from my surgeon I requested a face to face but the first appointment available is 5th June. That is a crazy amount of time for an urgent referral and on mentioning that to the call taker said Cora Health were not aware it was an urgent referral. I am not confident of the service in which I am about to receive.
Complaint sent in and MP informed.

Pathetic phone line
It's virtually impossible to get through on the phone. It just cuts off after a few rings. It's really poor when you need help. The podiatry service was 100pc better under Healthshare.

Sadly understaffed to be efficient
This my second review about Cora health.
Today I recieved a text to contact them as they had recieved my MRI results. After dreading the long waits trying to get a reply on the phone I was quite surprised that my call was answer within a couple of minutes
I spoke to a lovely lady called Debbie and she was very helpful in making an appointment to see Carl Chapman in Huddersfield for him to go through the results of my MRI scan.
Unfortunately the first appointment is in June, Carl is brilliant so trying to get an appointment faster is not possible as he is so busy and not enough physios to take up some of the strain. When you do get to see him he is caring and takes time to put you at ease and goes through all the excersizes to try get on top of your pain. At my age of 82 I expect a few aches and pains, I have had 6 free gym sessions under Aaron who was very encouraging. So once you manage to get into the system they are very good. But they need a lot more staff to take the strain from the few professionals they have. The reason I have given my score is not the staff is the long waits for appointment when people are suffering pain.

Unacceptable delay in treatment
I originally saw some-one at Carlton Health centre in January and was referred for an x-ray which I had on 11th February.
I have been waiting since then for the results of this x-ray and was only offered a telephone appointment, not a face to face appointment.
My telephone appointment was today, but every time I answered the phone the call disconnected.
I am now being told that I can’t have another appointment until June, this will also be a telephone appointment, which will be 6 months since my original appointment.
This wait to receive the results of my x-ray is unacceptable
My referral was made in September 2025, so by the time I actually speak to someone it will have been 9 months.
The time scale from referral to treatment is unacceptable.
Service has gone down the drain since Cora Health took over the contract from Connect Health

Do not recommend at all
Was referred by GP to Cora Health after dislocating kneecap. Got the initial assessment quite quickly. Then I had 2 physio sessions about 6 weeks apart. Was struggling with some of the exercises in my program and they were making my knee feel worse. Tried to book another physio session but was told the booking system has changed and they couldn’t see far enough ahead to book anything for me. I called again after receiving an email stating that if I didn’t book an appointment soon I would be discharged, and was promised that wouldn’t happen because it’s not my fault if no appointments are available. Was told I’m on a waiting list and they will call me some time after the 1st April. Heard nothing and was struggling with the exercise program so sent email to Cora Health, which was ignored. Knee pain got so bad in the end I paid to see a private physio who told me to stop doing the exercises I was given straight away, and gave me a different exercise program. Now, 2 months after my last appointment with Cora Health, I receive a letter in the post saying I’ve been discharged because I haven’t responded to their request to book an appointment! I’ve made multiple attempts! Absolutely ridiculous. Do not recommend at all.
*There’s no point sending an email to the address in all of the replies to the reviews because I ALREADY TRIED THAT and never received a response.

Physiotherapy course
I started my 6 week physiotherapy programme at Park House Carlton, the physio Ian was extremely experienced friendly and understanding with the whole group, after 3 sessions he was transferred to another clinic so a physio called James, who I'd seen for my initial consultation took over.
Again he was professional, kind, friendly and really helpful to the whole group and interested in our physical problems as older women and always asked after how I was and if the physio was helping, he seems extremely knowledgeable.
He asked if I'd like to continue my physio in the gym and so I have just finished another 6 week programme at Carlton Forum; which has been far more strenuous; but proved I could do more than I had anticipated.
I continue to do the exercises that I learnt at Park House and have joined the gym hopefully to keep up my exercises there to.
I would very much like to thank the whole team of physios who along with their recent trainees Lily & Abdul
helped understand the machines and encouraged where necessary.

Life Changing
My experience with this six week physio rehabilitation program was actually three whole years ago now but I bumped into the lead physiotherapist again this morning and had a chat. It was the first time I’d seen him in more than two years and it gave me the opportunity to let him know about/thank him for the majorly positive influence my time with the program had on me, my life and physical ailments.
I dealt with a number of injuries over a short period in 2019 and then ended up losing further strength/conditioning, as many did, during 2020 lockdowns. This all lead to a me suffering a debilitating back problem throughout 2021/22. By the start of 2023 I was weak, slow, could barely bend or lift and in constant pain. I’d given up hope of any medical help other than endless painkillers that I didn’t want to get hooked on so when I was sent by my GP for some NHS physiotherapy I was very skeptical but also willing to give it a shot because I was so miserable. Initially I had a few local appointments and was given very gentle at home exercises which didn’t really seem to do anything but hurt me. I persevered somehow but was on the verge of giving up and accepting that I’d never improve. When it was suggested that I could be sent to a local council run gym for a free six session physio rehab course I wanted to laugh. I couldn’t even cut my toenails anymore or put the bin out so how on earth did sending me to a gym seem like a good idea? However, I agreed as I didn’t want to seem ungrateful and at least the physiotherapists were trying something other than painkillers. I attended the first session with very low expectations and having also sunk into depression after the years of discomfort. I met a brilliant physio that day who listened, understood, let me know I was not alone in the way I was feeling (physically and emotionally) and slowly but surely he built me a simple exercise routine that started to get me a bit stronger and more moveable. I was dreading that first session but after the second I found myself looking forward to the third. When the sixth and final week rolled around I was sad it was ending. It was at this point my physio encouraged me to join the gym officially. He said I shouldn’t just let those six weeks be the end of it all. I’d made a little progress but I needed to commit to doing more myself to get further. His enthusiasm and belief that I could continue outside of the program were just as important as the actual exercises and tips I was given. Six weeks prior I didn’t think I would be able to do anything in that gym without suffering but there I was about to voluntarily join and attend myself going forward.
Three years on I go to that same gym twice every week having slowly built a whole new repertoire of exercises with the help of the staff there. I also still do a lot of what my physio taught me at home three days a week with a mat, dumbbells and kettlebells. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not cured, I’m still dealing with back, neck, shoulder and knee issues (along with some other, non-physio related, health problems). I will likely never be back to who/what I was physically prior to 2019. That used to frustrate me greatly but now I’ve readjusted that attitude because where I am today is so very much better than my darkest days in 2021/22 when I’d about given up hope and I put so much of that down to the path that this program/my physio set me on three years ago. I shall be forever appreciative. I was very happy to get the chance to unexpectedly reconnect with my physio this morning (I was shocked he still remembered me with all the people he must deal with each week) and thank him, to make clear to him that what he does week in week out with this program is very good work that can make the world of difference to people’s physical and mental wellbeing! He let me know I could leave a review here and I said I’d be happy to, also jokingly stating I’d gladly give verbal testimonials to any of his current clients on the program too if needed to build their confidence/trust!
I did my physio program at Carlton Forum in Gedling, Nottingham with the excellent lead physiotherapist named James.
Obviously not every injury/ailment can be helped this way, certain things could be worsened by such exercise so be cautious, but if your healthcare professional thinks you can safely do some light movements and might benefit from one of these programs I’d strongly advise you to at least give it a chance. At least in my case it’s changed my life for the better and for that I’m extremely grateful. Thank you!

Incompetent, appallingly managed company
Absolutely incompetent, evidently poorly managed. You MUST answer calls. You NEVER answer calls. Who is managing Cora Health? You send a letter stating "you have made several attempts to reach me but have failed" No you haven't - There is not one single incoming phone call record on my phone from your number, going back to the beginning of February 2026. I also don't have one single email from you, so I challenge the truth of your statement that you have "made several attempts to contact me but have failed". How have you tried to contact me? I'll be reporting this to the Government department which is responsible for awarding NHS contracts to private companies, stating how inefficient and poorly managed the private company Cora Healthcare is, in reality. I'll also copy in my local MP, because you simply cannot continue operating in a totally unprofessional manner without making urgent, significant improvements to the functionality of your company

Rude male receptionist
Got the rudest male telephone operator I have ever experienced, almost had me crying trying to explain to him was like hitting my head on a wall, I called the hospital & they put me back through to the same guy who said he had not spoke to me yesterday, less rude but however it was him & he should not be answering phone & dealing with older people, he doesn’t want to to listen, has no manners what so ever,
So I call my doctors & got referred to Wallsend Green absolutely lovely in half the time!
What did I learn from this awful experience avoid this place @ all costs if the reception is that rude, why would you go any further. Very sad indeed for a healthy care system
