A really refreshing experience doing business with Jon Bibby at Dace. No hard sell and no attitude. Jon kept me updated throughout the sale process and Dace were proactive in fixing some of the cars issues they identified like alloy refurbs and brake pad replacements. Would recommend to anyone on the market.

Summary of Events:
Initial Fault & Unhanded Handover (July 24th): Just 15 days after collection, a loud clicking sound developed from the front driver’s wheel area when turning left or right. I called to report this and noted that the owner’s manual and service history pack were missing. After chasing a callback, I spoke with Tony, who stated he needed to locate the paperwork in another building and instructed me to ring warranty directly as he could not transfer the call.
Poor Customer Service & Friday Brush-Off: I called warranty and left a message. At 17:01, I received a call that rang once and was cut off as I picked up. Calling straight back, I was informed the department was closed for the weekend—a manipulative tactic to avoid dealing with a Friday evening issue. When an agent called on Monday to book a Thursday appointment, my feedback regarding this deliberate "one-ring" dismissal was ignored.
Failed Mobility & Expense Incurred: Because the vehicle was unsafe/unfit to drive, I had to pay for taxis to get to work in Stockport on Tuesday and again on Thursday morning after dropping the vehicle off.
Drive Shaft Defect & Communication Breakdown: At 13:00 on Thursday, I was informed the drive shaft was faulty and the car had to be kept. I called at 13:31 to request a courtesy car, leaving word for an email response due to work meetings. Receiving no response, I emailed Sales at 16:01, which was also ignored, forcing me to pay for another taxi home.
Conflicting Information: On Friday, July 31st at 10:08, Michelle left a voicemail stating Dace no longer provides courtesy cars. I had to pay for yet another taxi back to Stockport to collect the vehicle. To add to the frustration, upon collection, sales staff asked if I had been given a courtesy car and explicitly stated that courtesy cars are available—contradicting Michelle's claim.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Selling a car with a major drive shaft failure within 15 days of collection is a clear breach of this, and the total lack of support or mobility solutions left me significantly out of pocket.
Required Resolution:
Full Reimbursement for Taxi Expenses: Full repayment of all taxi receipts incurred between Stockport and my workplace/home due to the vehicle being inoperable and the failure to provide transport (Total: £49.77 — receipts attached).
Warranty Extension: A 12-month warranty extended free of charge to restore faith in the reliability of the vehicle given the immediate major mechanical failure.
Vehicle Documentation: Delivery of the missing owner's manual and full service history pack.

I called into Dace German Car Centre to have a quick look at a car I’d seen online and had the pleasure of speaking with Steve. He genuinely could not have been more helpful.
Steve arranged for the car to be brought over, even though at that stage I only wanted to have a quick look inside. I then went away on holiday for a few days and realised I had a few more questions I’d forgotten to ask. I emailed Steve and he came back to me incredibly quickly with clear and helpful answers.
When I decided to go ahead with a test drive, Steve took the time to make sure all of my questions were answered and that I had everything I needed to make an informed decision. He is incredibly approachable, knowledgeable and patient, and at no point did I feel under any pressure to buy.
I’ve dealt with a number of car dealerships and salespeople over the years, and Steve is by far the best car specialist I’ve ever dealt with. He was professional and helpful throughout, gave me as much time as I needed, and even reassured me that he was always at the end of the phone if I needed anything.
Just a week after my first visit, I drove away in my shiny new car! I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would absolutely recommend Dace — and in particular Steve — to anyone looking for a car from one of the brands they specialise in.

We purchased a VW golf this week. The car is very good indeed and we are very happy with our purchase. More importantly the service we experienced from Steve was excellent. Steve was clear and efficient, friendly and very happy to answer our many questions. Professional and without all that nonsense associated with pressure selling, he laid out the details of the purchse, we had a test drive and, the car was beautifully presented, clean and well cared for. Even when there was small hiccup, while we waited he recommended a place to have lunch, which also very good :). Overall, I would recommend this seller and Steve in particular, this is what buying (and selling ) a car should be about. Well done to all involved.

Choosing a first car for our daughter was always going to be a special but challenging time. Making sure we found the right car, in budget that delivered exactly what she wanted but making sure she would be safe.
From the outset, Ryan was fantastic, describing the car (Mini One) exactly how it was. We traveled 30 miles to the Stockport Showroom to view and were not disappointed. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it as soon as our daughter saw the car it was a done deal.
Ryan talked us through the car’s history, pointed out any little imperfections and advised what the could have corrected to ensure we were completely happy. Additional items such as extended warranty and paint coatings were also offered but at no time did we feel pressured to purchase these additional options.
We agreed to collect the car the following Sunday and also selected the option to have the full ceramic coating applied.
Sunday we arrived at dealership to find the car ready for collection (including a red bow) on the bonnet, our daughter was delighted.
The car looked fabulous and ready to go.
Paperwork sorted and an extremely happy daughter!
