Husky fun!!
We have years of experience with Huskies/Malamutes so when our beautiful dog passed away, we were left heartbroken. My husband registered his interest with Dogs Trust shortly after and West Calder got in touch really quickly to tell us they had a Husky who needed a home. I was worried because it was very quick but I went to meet him and knew he was my dog straight away. The staff were excellent and really cared about my concerns. They gave me time with him on the lead and answered all my questions about him and he came home with us a few days later. We are now 4 months post adoption and Maru has his paws firmly under the table. We absolutely adore him and adopting another dog so soon after losing our dog healed our hearts and gave us a reason to smile again.
If I could give anyone any advice it would be to not hesitate. Giving a dog a 2nd chance at a loving home is the best thing you will ever do.

Thank You for Bringing Buddy Into Our Family
We couldn’t be happier with our experience adopting Buddy from Harefield Dogs Trust.
From the very beginning, the staff were absolutely fabulous. They were incredibly knowledgeable about Buddy, including his individual needs and medical conditions, and took the time to make sure we fully understood everything before bringing him home.
The transition meetings were fantastic and gave us the opportunity to get to know Buddy properly and build a relationship with him before adoption. We always felt supported, listened to and reassured throughout the process.
It was clear that Buddy’s welfare and finding the right family for him were their top priorities, and we are so grateful for the care and attention they put into making sure he was the right fit for us.
Buddy has fitted into our family perfectly, and we genuinely couldn’t be happier. He is already such a loved and important part of our family, and we are so thankful to the wonderful team at Harefield Dogs Trust for helping bring us together.
Thank you to everyone involved in Buddy’s care and adoption — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. ❤️🐾

Great experience adopting a dog from Dogs Trust Glasgow. Staff are friendly, competent, and compassionate. They really seem to really care for the dogs in their care.
After multiple visits, and an extended home trial, adoption went smoothly - my new dog has medical and behavioural problems so this was longer than the usual process, but I felt well supported along the way

The entire team were welcoming and helpful on every visit to the centres (Canterbury and Basildon).
Everything was explained clearly and we felt very comfortable adopting our lovely new dog.

Adoption of Harley from Dog's Trust…
Adoption of Harley from Dog's Trust DUNDEE
No Kennels in Dundee - Dogs are accommodated in Foster Homes
The entire process of adopting Harley from the initial application to her actual day of rehoming with us was meticulous, sensitive and well coordinated.
The staff members who dealt with us were initially Izzy, who was most helpful in giving us detailed information about Harley and highlighting any areas of difficulty e.g. separation anxiety.
Izzy gave us an overview of the whole adoption procedure so that we knew what to expect throughout. A Group What's App was set up between ourselves and the Dogs Trust staff we were dealing with - Izzy and then Alistair, Fostering Coordinator.
A meeting time was arranged for us to meet Harley in a park with her Foster Parent. Alistair introduced us and we discussed Harley's personality, behavior, home background and future needs. This also included medical history.
This meeting was very well coordinated by Alistair and was handled in a very friendly and courteous manner.
It was really lovely to meet Harley, walk her on the lead and to be able to ask her Foster Parent relevant questions.
We took to Harley immediately and she to us!
The Information requested previous to this meeting meant that Alistair had already matched Harley to us on paper e.g. ability to provide a suitable environment, recently retired and experienced dog owners.
We were overjoyed to be luckily offered Harley for adoption by Alistair and confirmed this to him with much pleasure.
Harley was vet checked prior to Alistair bringing Harley to us a few days later.
Alistair helped settle Harley in with us and gave us a very detailed, informative and comprehensive Rehoming Plan. This was invaluable and Alistair answered all our questions with great knowledge.
We were given relevant details of The Dogs Trust Support Network should we need advice or had any concerns.
We are writing this 4 days after having Harley and have already been contacted by Liam (in Manchester) to complete a survey and check how Harley was settling in.
Harley is settling in brilliantly and seems very happy. It was really useful to have 'My Foster Life' information from her lovely Foster Carers', plus a supply of her current food, and harness and lead.
We are delighted to have been matched so well to Harley and she to us and look forward to many happy years with her in her 'Forever Home'.
Thank you so much to The Dogs Trust for their wonderful work.
We send many thanks to Alistair and Izzy for their caring and exemplary work in making this adoption possible and so seamless.

Well what can I say this organisation…
Well what can I say this organisation claims that they are I dire straits looking for people to adopt pets.
My story started when I saw a dog that we as a retired couple would like to adopt from the Loughborough branch.
We applied and todate we have had no communications from them.Tried to phone and no luck.
If they are so desperate to have dogs adopted surely they will make an effort to contact people. By the way the dog that we lo9ked at is marked as underdog and this morning I checked again and according to the website the dog is still marked as underdog and is still available, so what now??.
