Well what can I say this organisation…
Well what can I say this organisation claims that they are I dire straits looking for people to adopt pets.
My story started when I saw a dog that we as a retired couple would like to adopt from the Loughborough branch.
We applied and todate we have had no communications from them.Tried to phone and no luck.
If they are so desperate to have dogs adopted surely they will make an effort to contact people. By the way the dog that we lo9ked at is marked as underdog and this morning I checked again and according to the website the dog is still marked as underdog and is still available, so what now??.

We can see we received your application to adopt on Tuesday 22 September 2026. Your application is currently sat in "New" status and our team at Loughborough are working there way through just over 1,000 open applications.
We can understand that it is disappointing to not hear back sooner however the team are working as hard as possible to review each application against the dogs in the centre to find suitable matches for the dogs in our care.
The team will only be in touch if they do feel you are a match for the dog you have added as a favourite, and if you are not they will continue to search for a suitable match for you.

We rescued Bullseye from Harefield
We rescued Bullseye from Harefield. The staff were amazing and so helpful. We met him a few times before we took him home but the aftercare was also amazing. We have also booked him on their training courses. I would rescue from the digs trust again and recommend them to all.

Fabulous experience from start to finish
Fabulous meet and greet arranged for us to see the bonded pair of dogs a few times. They answered all of our questions and the behaviourist went through past records. The handover was a very simple process and the dogs were the staffs priority and VIPS.

Dogs Trust were really helpful when we were fostering and then went on to adopt our dog, they kept us informed ,gave us some good advice that worked ! and are always at the end of a phone if needed .We have such a good experience with them and are so grateful for our lovely dog that they matched us with so well .

Whats annoying is I am trying to sort…
Whats annoying is I am trying to sort out a behavioural problem with my new dog , However was outside they called I missed the call tried to call them back the behavioural bookings team in office hours and of course you can not even leave a message and cut you off what is the flipping point of having a phone line they won’t even answer .Gary further more the response is totally inept and has been read wrong it is the behavioural booking team that is impossible to reach so the reply was a total waste of time .

I found my special Dog to grow out with
I recently found a rare breed dog that I’ve been looking to rescue for a little while now
There are some lovely special dogs that need rehoming if you’re looking for a specific breed please do not give up keep looking in rescue
Dogs Trust are doing a very good job the place was lovely and clean Staff lovely and friendly I highly recommend if you’re looking for a dog to contact your local centre

In the two visits to centre,met 5 different members of staff,all were very welcoming , polite, professional and helpful, would have no problem recommending this centre to anyone who,s looking to re-home a dog.

Our introduction to our proposed adoption.
Our introduction to our proposed adoption was well handled.
The staff gave us an excellent characterisation of our chosen dog. We were able to spend time walking through the wonderful grounds getting to know him.
The administration was thorough and all aspects of the adoption process were well explained.

This is our 2nd girl from Dogs Trust…
This is our 2nd girl from Dogs Trust Merseyside. Sadly we had to have our 1st girl euthanised September 17th 2025. I'll never forget Tia, such a lovely Staffie, and everyone at Dogs Trust Merseyside were so supportive when we applied for another female Staffie, and with the kindness, help and support shown again from Kim Rowlands, she helped me and my husband, this time with Ruby, it is now 4 months since I adopted this fabulous girl. She is 12 and a half years old, and acts like a puppy, full of energy, cuddles and licks. Our 1st girl Tia was special, and Ruby is every bit as special. She is an absolute treasure, I had a couple of phone calls to see how she was settling in, and after just an hour or two in her new home, Ruby had made everywhere her own. Thank you Dogs Trust Merseyside, Kim, and the Follow-up Team. You do an amazing job, and all of your dogs are so well cared for.

I adopted a beautiful puppy from dogs…
I adopted a beautiful puppy from dogs trust after my dog was pts in May. As soon as a visited her at the Dogs Trust Leeds I fell in love with her straight away. You could tell she was looked after well. The place was clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. The adoption process was simple. I collected my puppy a week later. She came home with a goodie bag in it was a lead and collar, food, a voucher for when it’s time for her to be spayed. Also in the bag was information from the Dogs Trust regarding settling her in on her first night along with other helpful puppy tips along with contact information for aftercare/ behavioural advice etc.
I highly recommend adopting a dog from Dogs Trust 💯

The service we received from the Dogs Trust was excellent all staff members were so helpful throughout the process and meets and answering any questions we had and aftercare service is great too. A very rigorous process, but essential to make sure both dog and new owner are right for each other. Would certainly recommend adopting from the Dogs Trust and supporting the great work they do.
