APPALLING NON SERVICE - I got a quote quickly enough online and then a call to arrange collection of my vehicle. I was informed that I’d get a call 30 minutes before they arrived within the time slot of 8am - 2pm today.
At 13:36 I’d still not received a call so I phoned them. Nobody answered, despite being number 1 in the queue!
I emailed but, no surprises, I've had no reply.
I'VE NOW GONE ELSEWHERE

Disgusted at attitude from counter at Bradford... website states one price and yard said another when questioned had snotty response won't be using emr again

EMR Marske - a visit to this site means some place is tidier, the metal is being recycled and I'm getting paid. The staff at EMR Marske are always helpful, friendly and approachable. It all makes for a positive and hassle free visit. Thank you 🙂

To be able to get non ferrous scrap weighed in they force you to drive over a yard full of screws, nails and sharp metal objects of one sort and another, or else they refuse to take the scrap. And the reason given for this? Health and safety apparently. It's a joke. And it's so easily resolved. Clean up your yard and make it safe for people to drive through. I did voice my opinions to both the manager and the head office. Couldn't care less.

AVOID! This is the worst company I’ve ever come across! They were suppose to collect my car today (after originally having to wait a wk) but without any explanation whatsoever I received a message stating it would be collected in another 2wks! When I tried to contact them, I was put in a queue system for 10 mins only be told the office was now closed and that they’re open mon -fri 8-5pm, it was 9am midweek!! Twice that happened! Also left numerous messages, again without any reply! So ended up taking my custom elsewhere.

I took some copper in last Saturday, the lad who took it was sound and the process was good as it mostly is when I sell to EMR. The difference this time was payment, usually it takes a day max to go through. It is now 7 days later with no joy. I emailed them and got a reply asking for my ticket number etc. which I sent on Tuesday, it's now Saturday and I havent had anything since. From the smallest scrap merchants to the biggest, this has never happened before. Come on EMR give me my money!

Very professional , helpful and prompt payment at market prices. I trade thru EMR Chard depot and have had only great friendly service from yard to office staff.
Skip lorry drivers coming to site are the same not the "Jobs Worth" type at all, willing to get the job done and help where needed.

This company could improve by getting their staff to remove batteries and any gas cannisters from vehicles before they crush them! The explosions are a regular occurrence which is unacceptable, not to mention the detrimental effects on the local population from their dust pile.

I used EMR in Ashford on Saturday and had nothing but a great experience. Very helpful and understanding I would definitely be returning.

Guys were very friendly.
Got a good price for my car, Payment was a little slow but only by 24 hours. Got full amount, very pleased with the service they gave.

Gone downhill rapidly in the past 6 months. Waste of time. Will pay less then quoted for cars but without telling you so you just end up with less money after you’ve left, slow, hard work. no manager present and nobody to speak to - nobody has a clue what’s going on. Used to be the best in Ashford but now the worst. Go elsewhere if you want your money.

I been served by Steave. This guy was very rude and have an attitude problem.
Copper and brass was in one bag. Without asking and let me separate it, Steave mixed up and left in the bin. Robbed me for £20 straight away because of MIXED BRASS SOLID.
No further business required from this scraped company. Just avoid

use the Worksop emr site weekly so the date of experience is just one of many visits.... absolutely spot on 5 stars great bunch of lads work their easy site to use never waiting to unload easy payment system no issues whatsoever will continue to use as often as possible...

The company has an app where you get a quote for your complete car which includes an estimate for the catalytic converter. This is how these guys have started robbing us…..THEY NOW INFLATE THEIR ESTIMATE FOR THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WITHOUT INCREASING THE OVERALL QUOTE/PAYMENT FOR THE CAR. For example if previously they quoted £300 gross which included an estimate of £50 for the catalytic converter, they now quote the same £300 gross but estimate the catalytic converter at £150 which means they are paying £100 LESS!! DAYLIGHT ROBBERY IF YOU ASK ME!!! ADVICE…..CHOP OFF YOUR CATALYTIC CONVERTERS AND SELL THEM ELSEWHERE. LET THEM HAVE THE SCRAP CAR BUT NO CATS.

Somebody from EMR mistakingly changed and updated my account information with someone else’s passport ID and bank details with a similar name to mine which means they paid my money into someone else’s bank account! I have still not received my money that is owed - a week later and still no communication or payment - Please resolve this!

This was caused by no fault
of my own and I shouldn’t have to wait until you’ve managed to recover the money that you wrongly sent to another customer!

Had a collection from they depot at Sharpness on Friday 21st October 2022, collection time was 0730 at 1pm they had only half loaded me but then when I was told il be pulled out by my company at 1415 even with half load seemed like they wanted to rush things then, cause at 1410 resulted in me having a accident causing me to have a back injury. Seems odd why they rushed at this point. This accident has now caused me time off work while the company (EMR) makes money. Why they have drivers sat in cabs whilst loading is beyond me.

Poor Management, quick to pull you on your performance, but very lacking in their own.
Worked form 20/09/22 to the 12/10/22 @ Cross green Leeds site, wasn't supplied with overalls and boot even though I gave my sizes to the lady at the recruitment company. Maintenance staff in a very tight clique with the Maintenance manager and also with the works manager and area maintenance manager, wasn't ever taken round and introduced to personnel, management full of big ideas but basics were never implemented, when they were doing heavy lifting and installation of large parts they didn't follow their own safe working procedures @ nearly maimed/killed a fitter/operator and I could see this coming from days before, too many cooks spoil the broth is the saying, dangerous to rush heavy work, accident waiting to happen!
No doubt they will get away with it, IE, cover it up.
If know one is demoted/ and or seriously reprimanded, the coverup must be from the top down.
The lads on the shop floor were great and would always help me.
The Place is a death trap waiting to happen.
They're certainly not a welcoming company to work for.
Don't work here if you expect to be looked after.

Don’t use them i visited the Wandsworth branch on the 1st of September and took in some 114 kg of house holdcable 129kg heavy copper 119kg low grade cable 4kg electric motor they gave me my ticket for £1,084.50 i then drove round and tipped some iron and then back on the weigh bridge and got a ticket for £32.50 total £1,117 pounds this was on a Thursday Friday morning I went to work and the boys at work asked how much money did we get i showed them the ticket and I paid 3 of them £250 each and £250 for me £117 for the apprentice as far as I was concerned what was on the ticket was correct on the Saturday my wife said that they had only paid in £657 76 in to my bank account so I had to wait till Monday morning to call them for the lady on the phone to tell me that they had graded it wrong and that was all I was going to get if I didn’t like it to come back and sort it out with the boys? After calling customer service and spoke to a lady she put me through to the manager at Wandsworth who was going to sort it out and call me back after waiting couple of days i called back and he told me that the area manager was going to call me to sort it out i have made phone calls and phone calls just to be told that the manager is on holiday and that the area manager is going to call me lady on the phone at Wandsworth said that I can not have the phone number of the area manager i am basically out of pocket off over £500 because they made a mistake if i hadn’t called them back Monday morning to complain and find out why they had no intention to call me and let me know about there mistake how many more people have been ripped off by them changing their minds after they have given you your ticket Steve
