Gentleman arive on time
Gentleman arive on time, start the service takes literally 15 minits, he haven't check the Gas/Electricity cobord, he just assuming we don't have smart meter and updated the certificate, he could discuss to me or check the cobord and do more better service thanks.

Quick and efficient process
Booking an EPC appointment was very easy, and the return communication after my initial enquiry was swift, timely and polite.
Appointment was within a few days of initial enquiry, and assessor arrived within the allotted timescale, was efficient and polite.
Certificate was available within 48 hours of visit, as we were advised it would be.
Very happy with price which was less than what our estate agent had quoted if we went via them.

5 stars for good intentions, 2 for outcome
5 stars for good intentions, 2 for for outcome. The whole experience was like trying to peddle a square wheeled bicycle up a steep hill.
I'd elucidate here but there isn't enough space. Not wholly EPCs fault but a combination of various factors, sometimes you just need one person at the end of the phone to say, "leave it with me, I'll sort it!"

Overcharging
I did due diligence on this company, but EPC just used a small discount on their charge for an EICR, in order to charge three times the normal rate to replace a fuse-board. Then EPC defended their fee as reasonable, when they were just using a local electrician. Avoid!
PS Your contractor's check took less than an hour; then you charge me £243.70 for two hours' Further Investigation! The second EICR gave me none of this trouble or charge. In other words your EICR was inadequate, yet used to charge even more. I expect a refund of the charge for the EICR.

The survey did identify some remedial works that are required, which is why the report has come back as unsatisfactory. This is a standard part of the process — where issues are found, we always include a quote for the necessary works alongside the report so customers have everything they need in one place.
We completely understand that cost is an important factor, and we want to be transparent: you are absolutely entitled to seek alternative quotes from other contractors if you'd prefer to compare prices. Our only aim is to make sure your property is safe and compliant, and we're happy to support you through that process however we can.
